70s Uli Roth era Scorpions my favorite line up of all time! In Trance, Virgin killer, Tokyo Tapes, Taken by force, Black Out was the end for me. ULI ROTH and his playing and Tone were the key ingredients! Just amazing.

I saw the Scorps twice back in the late's 80's and early 90's when they were on The Monsters of Rock tour thing with Van Halen. If I'm not mistaken, the lineup went something like this: Kingdom Come, Dokken, The Scorpions, Metallica and Van Halen. That night, the Scorps blew Metallica off the stage and Metallica doesn't get blown of the stage. Every member of The Scorpions is a consummate showman and their music was tight as hell. Incredible band.
First song I ever heard was Blackout on the radio. Bought the album album along with Sails of Charon and Virgin Killers (took a chance) and I bought every album I found ever since. US 83 , most fun ever at a concert .

Well , for me the nucleus of the Scorpions at their best is Rudolph Schenker , Klaus Meine and Mathias Jabs.

Their music has definitely been through some changes. I enjoyed their late 70s sound the best. They were on par with Priest in those days
It's a shame that Jabbs and Schenker don't really get the love they should as a duo!!!
