Python in Seismology at the National Earthquake Information Center | SciPy 2019 | Hearne

The use of Python at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Earthquake Information Center has grown over the past several years to encompass research support, Application Programming Interface (API) development, and operational applications. We discuss two of the APIs (libcomcat and gmprocess) and two operational applications (ShakeMap and PAGER) that depend on these libraries.
