O'how great we all are. I use to go down to my village, there would be busy people on the sidewalk. I would join the flow, after a few minutes I stopped and screamed: "Hey!"
My focus was only on the one or two that turned around and pointed to their chest. "Yes, come here!" Maybe one out of several would slowly approach, as I cooed softly.
"come on . . . waving my hand . . .." When they got close enough, " I said; "may I ask you a question?" They would nod yes. 'how long has it been since someone told you how great thou Are?" For 36 years, no one answered, they all looked at their shoes. I said, "Well hon, that's to long." in a deeper voice than my normal one. That taught me all the things I needed to know about what belief did.

As an engineer I would relate this in studying concepts. Most teachers only teach the formulas 'to be used' right on. But what I've realized, there is no sense if I don't know even know I'm using. It is better to know 'how this became' a formula. That is what Sadghuru implies, we need to involve ourselves in order to determine what is right that in latter would solve problems.

I have this painstaking way of learning concepts where I have to understand every single word, formula, notation and a conceptual outline of any specific topic if I am to move on to the next topic. If not I feel like I learnt nothing and of course whatever this nothing was does not stay inside my head. I find knowing everything there is to know about something exhilarating. This is all well and good if I do it everyday but I do it a day before the exam.....
Is it better to be given a rod and taught to fish or to be given the fish? Sadhguru gives you the fishing rod for your life.
@@naveenkv7693 I'm a bit like that. Because otherwise I'm just trying to remember facts and bits of information with a lousy memory. But if I know something properly, it won't be forgotten. But also not organised enough to do this without causing myself stress🙈

This is so simply profound… it is too easy to live passively and not be present, let alone involved and engaged in life. All our excuses of being “too busy” working, stressing and shutting ourselves off to what is right in front of us detach us from Source. The reason we delight in special people, puppies and children is that they are fully involved, open, and are giving energy, vulnerability and joy… full force, without an agenda or expected outcome back. We tend to negotiate transactions - If I spend time on X. I will get Y. That is our ego rationalizing efforts and outcomes. It is more creative, organic and surprising to practice this mindful involvement and connections to Source (even weeds) !
