Most people fear the silence because it screams the truth. Seriously need to show this to my mother. She always requires attention and people around her. When nobody is there while she’s cooking, she will turn on the radio quite loudly and cook. If she’s alone after cooking, she will turn on the tv and sometimes dozes off on the sofa. When people are around, her conversations always involve around complaints and pointing out mistakes or weakness of others as if she’s too perfect. I realised that actually many people cannot appreciate their own company. This shows that they cannot simply shut their mind chatterings and be one with own-self, discovering own beauty as well as weakness to become a better person. Silence is the path for enlightenment after all.

You're absolutely right Sadhguru! For years I had to pick my words carefully due to severe migraine and discovered how much more attentive I was because of it. I continue doing it even though talking no longer impacts my health. Find it interesting that most people are a bit surprised by it tho. Thank you for teaching so many, including me!
