I eat malt vinegar on my fish and chips!! Yum!!
me too and when not available I want lemon
I'm convinced you dont like 95% of food you try lol 😂
There are plenty of things I enjoy. I just give an honest review of the food.
Hater lol she does honest reviews brah
She loved everything that she ate at Disney Springs the other day. You must not watch all of her videos. I love that she’s honest! ❤
I concur!
We tried Rose and Crown (Maybe 6 months ago), she is speaking the truth on the Scottish Egg and we aren't in any hurry to book it again. LOL
Hi Kristen, I haven't even watched the video yet but I just wanted to let you know that you are truly one of the best Disney vloggers there is! Your videos are entertaining, informational, interesting, creative and just so fun and easy to watch! Thank you for all of them!
I don’t know if I would call the menu small lazy. It’s sometime nice to have a small menu because you don’t have to indecisive on what to get. Sometime a large menu can be overwhelming and don’t know what to choose. I agree it is small but I wouldn’t call it lazy. Just a thought.
" Even if there were no other bar open I still would not come here I'd rather stay in my room" 😂
Just malt and salt for my fish and chips
The shepherds pie is actually what us brits call Cottage Pie. Shepherds pie is made with lamb, cottage pie is made with beef 😊 Now craving fish & chips 😂 looked delish & yes to Ketchup!
Me and my husband both screamed at the tv when we saw you put ketchup on your fish
We love Rose and Crown, we have had so much fun at that location!
It's definitely a fun spot, but I think they need to expand the menu a bit 😅
Ketchup on fish & chips all the way! ❤❤
#teamketchup
I’ve never seen it done but somehow I want to try it now lol!!!
Malt vinegar
Malt vinegar and Tartar sauce on my fish and chips, please! ❤️🐟
I remember the two piece of fish and it was around ten dollars I still go here whenever we are at disney
The only way to eat fish is ketchup. People think I am crazy but I won't eat it any other way. Love this vlog series
It’s sad to see how they have restricted the menu, my days as a cultural rep had us serving, soda bread with Mickey butter.. we also had chicken and leek pies, cheese plates ( ploughman to us Brits) as well as fish and chips the kitchen at the R&C is capable of much more! Where’s the sherry Trifle ? It used to fly out.
Remember those days well! Not like the days when our friend Claire worked there!!!!!
If it's hot outside, request an indoor table. The menu is small because the restaurant is small. If you are an EPCOT restaurant on World Showcase Lagoon, you have limited space. Outside Fish and Chips, you get one piece for $14. Inside, you get 2 pieces (sometimes 3) for $28. Plus you get a server, air conditioning and a table. You don't have to eat over a trash can. Also, if you eat inside, they will bring you lemon for your fish.
When you get older, you will find restaurants with smaller menus are usually better.
Usually, but those four options seem rather meh.
@@CurlyQ227_ when you think of the UK, you don’t think about great flavors. England voted their favorite dish tikka masala (an Indian dish). They love beans on toast!!! I do like their bangers and mash though. Rose and Crown isn’t bad.
YES -- we ABSOLUTELY remember when you would get 2 pieces of fish at the quick service..... Better times! It is very good!
Those were the good days!
The chef will never be overworked!
That’s for sure 😂😂
Everything is better with good mashed potatoes and gravy!
Another excellent review, Kristen! Thank you for sharing with us! 💜
I agree! Thanks Susan 😊
The bar food at Martha’s Vineyard is reflective of that regions food.
Ok this video made me giggle as having lived in the UK for 3 years experiencing all this for real everything sounds about right from eating in the heat (they don't do AC) to a small menu and not the best food. Hubby and I were both like yup sounds about right 😂🤣
"Much too good " shout out Nate!
The bangers and mash looked like something I’d order. Great video!
So I have to sneak in some lemon wedges for my fish and chips .. excellent tip LoL.. also I love how you're doing the patron shout-out now!
Thanks Angie! It was time for a change haha
I ate at the Rose and Crown a couple of weeks ago. Reservation around fireworks time, they block off an area right on the water just for their guests to go outside and enjoy. Will even bring you a drink out there while you’re watching. I also ordered the fish and chips entree and subbed mashed potatoes and gravy for the chips. So much better than the fries they serve.
Should’ve asked for HP sauce for the Scottish egg. That’s what my husband and father-in-law use. (both my father-in-law and my husband were born and raised in England) The Pubs menu are limited, and often run out of food. Fish and chips 🤔 I use malt vinegar, or mustard. We tried the Morocco restaurant with Middle Eastern food, but my husband is Greek so we had an idea of how to order. it was delicious, but it was quite a few years ago. I guess if you like the fried cheese ( it’s goat cheese) which is from Cyprus.
Cookes is Really good! Talk about underrated, AND u must try their bacon beer cheese dip !!! Uhh dip those fries”chips” in it It Is a Must ❤
I won't lie, I'm hardcore judging you for the ketchup on the fish. 😂 But you do you. Be proud of your ketchup!
Proud ketchup user
I was wondering about the limited menu anymore...so I havent gone the last few trips. my friend gets fish& chips a few times each trip from Yorkshire. first time last trip they gave him 2 pcs but the fries weren't as good. the 2nd time he got 1 pc but fries were better. and malt vinegar! il be at WDW next week
I believe they do it based on weight. So if they give you a smaller piece of fish they give a second. But if it is the normal size it is only 1 piece now. Enjoy your trip!
You know what has lemon in it? Tartar sauce 😂🍋👏☠️🐟🍟🇬🇧
But really, thanks for never holding back, the Martha’s Vineyard bit was fantastic 🤣🤣🤣 every time I walked by there I thought it looked like a funeral home bar 😬
I use ketchup and tartar sauce on my fish! We will be in Epcot on Friday! I do remember more fish at a lower price at Yorkshire fish shop! 😊
I live in England and i have Ketchup on my fish when i have fish and chips it taste really nice
Is the battered fish tilapia or cod? Ive read contradictory answers. I know universal uses cod. In England it would always be cod.
Luv ur honesty!😃
Appreciate it!
Heya! Good vlog! I hear you. Pubs / bars have smaller food menus and bigger drink menus compared to their restaurant counterparts, but adding a couple more dishes would be good. Indian curry would be nice addition as that’s popular in England. I used to love the fish and chips there. And Substituting that terrible for you impossible product with a prime roast and Yorkshire pudding dinner would be a game changer! ❤ malt vinegar is the best ketchup is too sweet 😂🎉
We have beer battered fish fry in the north, Buffalo NY, just like at Rose n Crown. It’s very popular during Lent. My husband and I both put ketchup on our fish. Plus I can get a gluten free fish fry here but not there.
Our first stop in Disney World s to eat the fish and chips outside of England. We also eat at Raglan Road Quick Service. Both very good. At Martha Vineyard we had sandwiches and they made me a sundae . It was nice and quiet , we do not drink.
Hi! Love your content so much!!! But, I believe the fish and chips at the quick service is haddock and inside Rose & Crown it’s cod. That is unless they’ve made a change!
The mashed potatoes are simply amazing! Come back in January and eat the plant based Shepard's pie! So good. And the Martha's V bar?! Wow. Glad to know one place I don't have to add to my list! 🤣🤣
I ALWAYS put ketchup on both my fish and chips. Yummy!!!
I’m too picky of an eater for this menu lol. Thanks for the heads up
If you go to Cookes of Dublin you HAVE to get the cheese dip for the fries!! Game changer!!
Martha’s Vineyard is mainly the bar for Cape May. It’s busier during the dinner timeframes to hang out before or after your dinner.
Ketchup on fish and chips ?
YES
I love the Welsh Dragons! I like to get one to go at the pub and walk around WS with it.
Nice review. Thanks
Kristen, I have sure felt your pain. I haven't been there in years because of the small menu. Please consider going to the Cookes of Dublin soon to review the fish n chips. Let us know which one is better.
When we were at Martha’s Vineyard in January it was packed!
Got the shepard’s pie once and it was like eating a shaker of salt! Do they still have a piano player in the pub? I’d go just for that. Lots of fun!
They do, but I believe it is only on select days
@@wrightdownmainstreet oh good because that’s what makes it a place to go!
I’m British and yes to ketchup on fish😋🇬🇧
The menu used to be larger! And they used to open earlier. I'm not sure when they changed, but I feel it's been like that since they reopened after lockdown. I do like that you can go to the bar and hang out in the dining room during the afternoon though!
I’m from the UK now living in Australia & I can confirm that people do have ketchup with fish & chips. Curry sauce is popular too as are mushy peas & gravy. Oooo I could totally eat fish & chips now 😋 Great vlog as always!! ☺️
I'm from the UK, $15 for scotch egg is criminal, you can buy 2 from around £3 here 😱
👀👀👀
Prices are crazy high in the U.S.!
I remember as a little kid in the 90s we were a family of 5. And we always had the quick service fish ans chips because that was one of the cheapest places to eat. Back then it was 2 piece of fish and fries for $6 or so.
Those were the days
I also eat Ketchup with my fish and fries!!! So good!!
I remember two pieces of fish too. My husband and I would split one to leave room for all the snacks in world showcase.
That's the way to do it!
I feel like they should totally offer monthly/seasonal specials of different dishes from around the British Isles. But I think your assessment sounds about right, seems like a lot of food sitting under heat lamps and just being plated for speed.
Shame, has a ton of potential to do so much more!
We love rose and crown. I agree the menu could to with some other options, especially the dessert menu. We’ll book it next October. And as a Scotsman, I would advocate for ketchup on my chips, and tartar sauce on my fish.👍🏴 btw $15 for a scotch egg??!!
Hi! Just found your channel and I love it! QQ are you allergic to mayo or just a preference? Was curious haha
Beach Club is our main hotel but that bar is only busy during a conference or wedding in Ariels next door. It is a grandpa escape room hahaha .Rose and Crown is good for firework views too the food looks eh.
A Harp & fish and chips at R&C with some fireworks! The best !!
Great review! Maybe you can try LeCellier next.
Le Cellier is my fave & they do have a new menu 👀
You’re from colonia ever tried Ferraris pizza about 2 miles from me lo park mall on fords aveor Pete and eldas in Neptune or marucas in seaside and don’t forget delorenzos I I think it’s Mankiller they move from Trenton you ever try a windmill hotdog I had awindmill go 45 years
We had an inside table at Rose and Crown, it was so noisy with the music blaring that we asked to be moved to outside. Fortunately it was a nice day, not too hot.
Warsh it down? Bolth?
I was wishing this restaurant was better. I guess you go there for Ale instead of food, Thank you for posting. How is Canada? Maybe next?
I like Ketchup on my fish too.
I love Scottish eggs
They used to have a Scottish Salmon which was very good and a Trifle for dessert that was just ok.
I love ketchup on fish and chips.
"Martha's Graveyard" as reffered by Josh and Taylor from one of Nates old videos
That is an accurate nickname
Do an entire video on fish and chips! I love your reviews.
The way you're roasting Martha's Vineyard. Lol. You weren't wrong! I would love to see what you think of La Hacienda de San Angel.
I have done San Angel, but not La Hacienda yet. That will be coming up soon for sure!
I am 76 yrs old and I have always eaten ketchup on my fish😊
Oh I love their bangers and mash. I wish there was a plant based bangers and mash.
I eat my fish and chips with ketchup and will stand by that choice till the day I die 🫡
Always enjoy your vlogs thanks so much for them. BUT also Disney seem to be a bit confused. QUICK FACT - Shepards Pie should contain Lamb Mince, it is in fact Cottage pie that contains Ground Beef. They have it listed wrong on the menu. (see time 4.45min into Vlog)
"Limited menu", that's uk cuisine for you! We like what we know 😂 The scotch egg price is scandalous, same as ketchup up on fish n' chips 🇬🇧
Kristen - we love the fish and chips at R&C. That is our go to entree AND the fish is divine with KETCHUP and tartar sauce. Food preference is subjective. Recommend Via Napoli and Nine Dragons for your other dining experiences at EPCOT!
I have done both of them already. Check my page!
From the uk 🙋🏻♀️ agree with the lemon wedge but never ever had ketchup on my fish … going to try it next time though 🤣
hahaa let me know what you think about the ketchup!
I'd take a good mayo sandwich any day
I support your ketchup use!! I mean- cocktail sauce is basically ketchup and horseradish, and people use that on fish and chips. 🤷♀ But now i feel like I need to verify with my Welsh brother in law next time i see him! 🤣 I say try for Spice Road Table next!
True! Lots of votes for Spice Road. May have to go there next
If you haven't already, you should visit Dollywood in Pigeon Forge TN. It's a beautiful park and the food is much better than Disney food. In my opinion.
Dying to visit there
If you ever get a chance, definitely try to visit in fall. The Smokies are beautiful that time of year.
Scotch eggs are always formed in advance and then fried to order.
Spice Road Table next. The Martha's Vineyard review-😂. Fish and chips reminds me of Lent as a kid. We always got that from Captain D's on Fridays.
Another vote for Spice Road!
Almost seems like the menu is moving to a prefix with those limited options. I went there on a trip in 2017 and it had a much larger menu!
They definitely used to have a few more menu items. I have no idea what happened
Absolutely Ketchup on fish and chips!!! Maybe its a northern thing? From central NY and its definitely a normal thing here
I love ketchup on everything!! :)
Rose & Crown has the best fish @ chips!
The limited menu is surprising. I wonder if their data told them that most people are ordering the fish & chips, bangers & mash, or shepherd's (cottage) pie anyway and it didn't make sense to support too many more options? Back in the day, I remember they had a burger with Irish cheddar that was good. I'm also always suspicious of dishes coming super quickly out of the kitchen, but I suppose they can't make mashed potatoes to order. And, to your point, probably a lot of guests are wanting to get back to the park quickly. Side of chips at Yorkshire is one of my go-to snacks -- and they have mobile ordering! The birds there are aggressive!
Fish and catchup is not ok. Lol
We always have ketchup and mayo with our fish and chips
Good review of the Martha's Vineyard Bar. Maybe Disney will listen and do something. #dangitBob
I also like ketchup oon my fish 😊
Is it as good as Raglan Road?
As a whole the food at Raglan Road is significantly better
The Outer Rim was a really good seafood restaurant back in the 70's and 80's.
Oh no way! I didn't know that. Sad what it has become now
#teamketchup on fish and chips!!!
Hi there. Need to come to cape cod. So much better food here. I live a 2hr boat ride from Martha's Vinyard
I use ketchup on my fried fish too 😋
Tomato sauce, we call it in Australia.
Yes, we love it with fish.💯
