I noticed there was a pressure gauge on the unit facing the operator, looks like you can adjust what you are doing according to what kind of pressure you currently have on the hydro system. The blades are kind of stubby, swivel on a very large and very heavy flywheel, stores a lot of energy. Once it's spinning there is pretty much nothing that is going to slow it down much.
pcdubya it’s close. It would be a good thing to have if the property was mostly brush. If was over grown with a mix of sampling and small trees the forestry mulcher would be a much better option. I would bring both to a job.
I'm almost 95% sure with the way he is mulching with that head and how big that tree was, that unit will develop problems over time. That is not a true mulching cutter and as such I cringed a bit when he came down on top of those trees at 1:23 and 2:13. That 2nd tree is debatable as being too thick for that cutter, though it is hard to tell from the video. Either way, that's a good way to wreck your spindle, crack your carrier, and/or crack your deck. There is no cutting edge on the underside of the carrier of the deck so you are bludgeoning the trees with the metal plate and hardware that holds the carrier to the deck. If you want to do that kind of stuff you need to get a true disc mulcher with teeth on the bottom of the carrier.
You must have went hard on your resurch bc I haven't seen a video yet that the machine and mulcher work together at all mulcher always to much for machine. This your just cruising threw stuff big stuff great job
Much lower maint. cost, no expensive teeth to replace[ drum- 32-40, big disc - ?, but many! If this is what i think it is it only has 3 or 4 blades, sharp on both sides, which can counter rotate when you want. a much more sensible set up for sure !!! does a kick ass job for much lowar and simpler maint. upkeep! 🎯💯🥳🤠
Incredible!! The Kubota skid machine must have a huge power take off the front to handle this heavy brush cutter. Does a remarkable job of knocking bush/weeds down. Have seen pros use a zero turn mower for similar work, but this skid machine/brush hog does it better.
Hey guys I had something interesting happen today, every year I rent a T-650 Bobcat with a Diamond 72" brush cutter to work on CRP land every year I get the same Diamond cutter but this year since they are a Bobcat dealer they were going to give me a BrushCat instead? OK I know nothing about the BrushCat but was sure willing to give it a try. Well as it turned out the only Brush cutter they had that I could use was the old Diamond, I could see it hadn't been used for awhile I am guessing since they are pushing Bobcat products ie. BrushCat. So I was at the dealership signing the rental papers and I commented on how much I love running the Diamond cutter and what a great job it has done for me over the years, I then asked the sales fellow how the BrushCat stacks up against the Diamond and his answer surprised me greatly, he stated that the Diamond was in a completely different class of cutter limited to 3" MAXIMUM diameter brush and your pushing it with that and the Diamond is darned near ready to cut down trees! I wont tell anymore because this is a great dealer and I use them for a lot of services but with THAT said I am sure glad I ended up with old reliable, I have 15 acres of heavy brush to get rid of tomorrow!!!
Ya knowing your job and the tool you need is everything. You can get away with a 3" cutting diameter for that BrushCat depending on the job. Diamond doesn't make anything that small though. They make units that are more versatile than the BrushCat would be. That's basically only good for mowing grass and thicket, but Bobcat really has only dipped their toes into that market because they have other larger markets to build products for.
We we recently bought this cutter but I was wonder where do y’all connect the safety chain to the machine? Or if y’all even use it at all. I’ve read different opinions on using a the chain in several forums.
@@charlesthorpe3179 You bet, here's a video of the Blue Diamond extreme duty (standard flow) ua-cam.com/video/IBOCJ-3uEJI/v-deo.html We would also direct you to watch our video of the Skid Pro extreme duty (standard flow) ua-cam.com/video/K4yPPanzQlI/v-deo.html
I actually run a low flow extreme duty. I've been very pleased with the results and reliability. I'm considering a new skidsteer (high flow) and the severe duty. I appreciate the information.
MZARIMI well from my understanding you can’t use a brush cutter on large trees 8-12 inch diameter trees that is. If they are around the 3-6 maybe, this is great for heavy brush and likes but can’t handle what mulcher heads do. I’ve seen the drum style on skid steers take on 8-10 inch trees I would never think to even attempt that with a brush cutter.
The Blue Diamond brush cutter looks like a beast! Swift Fox Industries always showcasing impressive gear. Can't wait to see it in action!
Man, that skid loader is pushing some serious horsepower and flow rate, too! That thing would make trailbuilding and maintenance so darn easy!
Hey sweetie I’m gonna I wanna I was wondering what you gonna have w I we will work on with ya tomorrow night and get it home and I will
sorry for your getting out to your moms phone call me

Killer setup, that thing looks like it equals a mulching head. Love to have it for a weekend.

Yes and I have wanted a Lynx full length coat 2x my size for all my life…( to the first comment) 🤣Love this guy and his giant boy toys 🥰👍

I know one thing I'm buying when I hit the lotto!!
Good luck bro
Amazing machine
That's an amazing cutter....
I like this machine!
I'm starting to look for a rental
This is a beast of a bush cutter! This will save us hours of manual work in our farms in Africa :) How much does it cost to buy this machine, please ?
It sells for about $1,200 before inflation

High and low flow hydro hookups on the arm. Low flow for actuating arms and clamps etc, high flow for running things that spin up fast.
a zero turn mower lmfao , your a clown
I loved mine.
How is it with barbed wire and metal fence posts?
Looks like a armoured samurai with a katana🔥🔥🔥
Great machine but did someone have to go through the site and make sure there was no rocks or metal objects laying around the site?
Love watching this!! Cool!
Great equipment, but could have shown the cutting blade.
Thanks for posting!
Nice machine. 👍👍👍
Very impressive machine.
The 120 ASV with a FECON head still looks like the best to me!
Booker Uzzell not even the same comparison. Also, Cimaf is superior to fecon in the mulching head game.
That is one fantastic machine
Nice demo but does the manufacturer tell you the cost of maintenance on these things. I know the answer. Do you?
RIP for the trees, how many carbon release
As a brit I'm impressed with that machine

You did win the war in Vietnam, it was the politicians that lost it. Thank you for your service.

If Andrew Camarata saw this, he would have one next week, especially when you consider what he does with the one he has.
