My name is David Fisher my father and I and my brother spent just about every camping trip we ever took was to Pismo Beach, Indio, California Mammoth wash or Glamis we were four-wheel-drive all the time and I had so many Home movies that got lost during my second marriage Treasured super eight film of camping trips. I’m so happy that you had this. It brings back so many memories. I made it to the top of devil slide once on foot we didn’t have a vehicle that would make it all the way up our 68 Kaiser CJ five with a flathead six and large sand tires Just didn’t have the guts to make it to the second part of Devils slide. We could make it to the first but not the second. Thanks again Gary keep them coming what great memories I have much love to you and yours from Kennewick Washington Washington state on the mighty Columbia river.

Thank you. It brought back great memories of riding in the dunes and down to the end of the beach to the Devil's slide. People are stunned when I tell them it was a 15-mile ride and you had to cross 3 creeks to get there.

I don’t know if you were were you at Pismo Beach in the 70s because there was a Toyota named hot sake that used to be involved in the hill climbs and the dragstrip he was a neighbor of ours when I grew up in Garden Grove California

Damn I remember Devils slide we went on toward the point once and almost drove off the cliff scared the shit out of. I had a Burro dune buggy made by Tiny in Santa Ana what a car. Devils just seemed to keep going up and up after a while it flattened out the it got steep again. Oh for the day

Pismo Beach doesn't have dunes like that. That's Oceano Beach.
