Little fun fact about those Sunbuggy rental buggies: David Hasselhoff rented one and wrecked into a fence and sued because he said they were too fast. So the owner had to govern them way back, so now they barely have enough power to make it up the dunes. You have to go at a sideways angle or they just wont make it. Thanks, David! lol The buggies DO have reverse but the owner doesnt allow them to use it because it entails them switching it at the engine. So, they have it but arent told how to use it. (I know, its the same as not having) At 4:59, the right side of the screen, Orange Ford, is out local "celebrity" in the offroad world. The founder of Freedom Ropes and the offroad group, Jerk Pirates. They started the group because the tow company charges a minimum of $300 to come to the beach to pull someone out and everyone in the Jerk Pirate group pulls everyone for free to help stop the price gouging from the tow company
Pismo dunes are so much fun. Sadly I moved to Oregon so haven’t been there in years. But the one thing I learned my first trip out to Pismo is 90 % of the people out there are willing to help others in need. My last trip a guy in a 30ft motor home got stuck I helped him get unstuck and back to the pavement. Thanks for all you do to help others
You are a patient person. 🙏 it's not always easy to keep saying the same thing over and over and over dealing with the same characters. My hat is off to you. Rhino USA getting it done out there. Keep up the good work, brother!
I’ve been in that group for years, Danny and Lea are good people. Hung out with them many times, I have a video from about two years ago doing a night ride with them
Kenetic ropes are awesome. I’m 49. Grew up driving on the beach. Always used high quality nylon rope, it does the trick. Now they named them kinetic. But it’s the results that count. Keep it up
Wes you are a true hero my brother you always get people out and you are very patient when people don't always listen. I look forward to your videos every week
I learned from this video that leaving the hood open is a good safety precaution. I will be buying some rhino recovery gear thanks to you. Thanks for the 10% off.
Long time since going to Pismo, we like the mountains and desert more, less sand! Have the back of my truck loaded with Rhino recovery gear and currently setting up a portable winch (front & back). I see these videos and am amazed (maybe not so much) that so many people have no common sense or experience. Back in the 60's my friends & I did a lot of desert & had a mining claim. All 2WD pickups BUT plenty of recovery gear and you'd be surprised how many 4WD (no experience) people we pulled out. They'd put it in 4WD and bury it!
Here is something positive brother, thank you for not doing the EV bs. It’s so nice seeing the real vehicles fight! We do this all the time in Florida!
Always good times there. I used a Bubba Rope and my 2015 Tacoma several years ago to pull out a bunch of trucks with camper trailers attached. It’s a blast. I like the video, great content as usual.
Never ventured west that much, Pismo looks like a lot of fun! Wife and I both have 4x4's, have converted most of our recovery over to Rhino, could definitely use 2nd kinetic rope to keep one in each vehicle.
She almost buried that red sxs lol. Looks like you had a good time overall. Hopefully you were still out of town for the hurricane and didn’t get any damage.
Great video. But did we go back in time? Pretty sure saw some footage of Pismo last week with the sticker on the stop sign? 🤷 Maybe covid hit me too hard!! 🤣
I just meet the guys at Rino at the pomona 4x4 show . Grabbed a tool bag . My boy grabbed a yank Rope they even through in a a soft shackles. Good dudes
The rentals have maybe 10 hp, belt driven, no power, and they rape you with fees if you're a few minutes late. My rental broke down. I called them to advise I can't make the scheduled return time. They said everything was fine, they sent out their own worker to haul me back in. I was charged like $500 for being back late. Wtf.
Up here in Idaho we dont have a lot of sand like down south. But it sure is fun to watch. I sure would like to win that gift card. Right now I run Gear America, been wanting to try out Rino products. For a comparison.
Saw your comment on the other video. You’re all good, was just wondering if you won something yet. It’s hard to remember all the names, I appreciate the support and comments on each video. You never know, you could win twice!
Most people that get stuck at Pismo don't belong there in the first place. I grew up there in the 60's back when it was a totally different area. We rescued more people than you can imagine there. There were a few outfits that had old militarys that would charge upwards of $700 for a tow. We had an old Land Cruiser, took the Mud and Snow tires off it had the wheels widened and put a set of tires on it off the Cadillac balloned them out. Never had to air down again. We kept a Sand Anchor on the back bumper for emergencies. Even then we ran into people with trucks stuck in the Surf up to the doors. Hope your getting paid for your effort. People didn't park their trailers and campers so close to the water back in the 60's they knew better. Most of these people will drive home and park their rigs. Not even thinking about what the salty sand will do to destroy their $150k rigs..
I was going to take a shot of tequila every time you said the full name of your rope 😅 instead of just calling it a rope do the sponsors make you say that

I read Oregon has 3 awesome beaches to offroad on? Have you been on them? If yes, how do they compare to Pismo/Oceano?
You are a patient person. 🙏 it's not always easy to keep saying the same thing over and over and over dealing with the same characters. My hat is off to you. Rhino USA getting it done out there. Keep up the good work, brother!
Sand I no joke, kinetic ropes are amazing Wes. What I like is u educate stuck customers and the viewers👍🏻🇺🇸
We have a recovery group here called Jerk Pirates. We stay busy all day and everyday helping people at the Pismo Dunes for free. Great group !
I’ve been in that group for years, Danny and Lea are good people. Hung out with them many times, I have a video from about two years ago doing a night ride with them
Allways good to see the Rhino USA crew! Caught you all in Pomona... Picked up a shovel, and the big Tire Repair Kit! Thanks for the Key Ring!
Kenetic ropes are awesome. I’m 49. Grew up driving on the beach. Always used high quality nylon rope, it does the trick. Now they named them kinetic. But it’s the results that count. Keep it up

Nice work and I applaud your patiences and kindness. Keep on sending it

This video was great!! Plenty of fun!! Thanks for the hood tip!!!
I got my Rhino rope for the Minnesota winters can't wait to pull my buddies out of a snow bank on a frozen lake!!
She almost buried that red sxs lol. Looks like you had a good time overall. Hopefully you were still out of town for the hurricane and didn’t get any damage.
Wes, thanks for the nuances of rescuing in sand. As usual informative and entertaining.
I appreciate how you show your rigging, I learn a lot from your channel.

I just meet the guys at Rino at the pomona 4x4 show . Grabbed a tool bag . My boy grabbed a yank Rope they even through in a a soft shackles. Good dudes
Pismo is a blast. My open-diffed 1st gen Xterra did great aired down, but I didn't even THINK of hitting any of those bowls. "It's a trap!"😀
Pismo Beach is my backyard. Because I live local I don’t go to the beach on busy weekends, but looks like you had some fun with the sand bowls.
good stuff bro.... keep up the good work..
Looks like a good place to go and check out them rental buggy sound like lawn mowers LOL good times good times

Like watching your videos. I always learn something every time. Thanks.
On my wish list of places to visit.
The one side by side in the bowl need two tow vehicles..., because its almost dead weight downward🙂
It’s hot and I’m fat and that’s hilarious!😂
True story
Up here in Idaho we dont have a lot of sand like down south. But it sure is fun to watch. I sure would like to win that gift card. Right now I run Gear America, been wanting to try out Rino products. For a comparison.
Great video!!
Man that's alot of sand! Good job!
Nicely done!
All that sand looks like a blast.
I live in Arroyo Grande which is less than 30 mins from Pismo ❤❤❤❤
That looks like a lot of fun!
Good work in the sand 👏
Is a truck really a truck if it doesn’t have tow points on the front😂👍👍
Pismo is always fun !
the rhino jeep exhaust sounds good.
All I’m saying is they need to send you some chapstick lol
Good luck everyone on winning the gift card
Saw your comment on the other video. You’re all good, was just wondering if you won something yet. It’s hard to remember all the names, I appreciate the support and comments on each video. You never know, you could win twice!

Love your videos
They were happy when I told them I was stuck past post 25 in this exact buggy lol
Open diffs
U rock😎😎😎😎
I'd love to get 1 of your ropes to use up here in New England in the snow but $$$
Are there bowls at these dunes like glamis or is it just a bunch of hills?
@12:56 I felt that! Lol
The sand is a different animal it allows nice to help others out
Positive!
Wes do you have any plans on putting lockers in the Jeep ?
I don’t want to put lockers in the stock front axle, I’ve been waiting to find a deal on a D44 or eventually I’ll get some super duty axles.
@@4x4rescue74 I gotcha ! Good video man, enjoyed it as always.
Good stuff
I understand his frustration 12:56 . I was getting irritated myself
Many years ago we got stuck in the “salad bowl”, remember that ya boomers!😊
the sand is crazy! how is your plant doing?
It made it!
When I tell folks something like everyone needs to get out and they don’t I just walk away

Great job once again. Do these people air down in the deep sand? It’s one hell of a learning experience.
Most do, some don’t until they bury it
Is it OK to use a axle strap like you use a tree saver??
You definitely can, just depends on how much weight they’re holding, and if they fit.
@@4x4rescue74
What kind of MPG did you see on your long drive?
Use the brakes to make the mother tire spin got me out many times
Great recoveries except that 1 girl that was in the whatever it is sand rail did not listen , Is drove me crazy
Good job
Just curious, but why the open diffs?
Jeep cost too much to keep running. Every time I want to upgrade it, I got to spend the money on something else..lol
those sun buggy dont have the power to get out of their own way.
I was going to take a shot of tequila every time you said the full name of your rope 😅 instead of just calling it a rope do the sponsors make you say that
Ive never been stuck in Pismo beach or dunes.... been going sense 1994 spring break. so no not everyone gets stuck
