Makes me mad cause branded has so many cool plays but I refuse to play it until they remove that cheat button

Melodious is a consistant T2 deck in the OCG, and they have only 1 Herald of the Orange Light + the deck is awful under Maxx C. Sure I don't see it becoming the best deck in the TCG but saying that it probably won't do anything competitively is a reach.
I expect Melodious to do a little better in the TCG. It has a good matchup against Pure Snake-Eyes, but a poor one against the likes of Tenpai. And in a format where Tenpai will be around but less good than in the OCG due to the lack of Kaiser Colosseum, and with the absence of the bug, I expect it to perform better.
It was already a mid-to-high end rogue deck in the OCG anyway, but whether people preferred pure or the Supreme King variant seems to vary week by week
I don't think that Melodious has a bad matchup against Tenpai. Just bounce back Tenpai monsters at the start of the BP with Etoile and they're done. Also, you can set up Aria+Elegy+Etoile+Schuberta (or Bloom Diva), all in defense and Tenpai can attack all they want (no destruction). That can be done even though handtraps which Tenpai runs quite a lot but so does Melodious (a little bit less but still a lot)
They have a good matchup too Tenpai. Just setup bloom and etoile and
Bounce the etoile so they only have the bloom to attack into.
Lightsworn Lets goooo! I bought the core from Battles of Legends Chapter 1 and picked up Punishment as well
Lightsworns may be a top competitor in the TCG (depending on banlist) or at least a solid option. But odds are high that Punishment gets reprinted just like you said.
What does samurai do? The "forced to attack" and damage reflection are continuous effects of Nightmare Pain iirc, so
negates the yubel monsters and destroys them in battle and they cant float
It tops in the OCG, that’s what it does
Melodious being slept on. I’ve had good testing against most of the current meta decks. Deck can play a ton of non engine, we get 3 orange light, has multiple one card starters, can play through a lot of the most impactful hand traps, and grind super well.
1st Movement also has a megatin reprint, but it's still expensive. IMO Melodious support will be like TG, very high rarity.
one ScR max (Bacha or Etoile) and it wouldn't be the expensive one. not many people would care. the same thing happened to Raidraptors because Strangle Lanius price went up to approximately the same level
Melodious being low rarity would be a treat, it being a pet deck of mine lol. Feel the key fusion will be ultra at least. Punishment being that high and utter trash really, is so bleh but the fusion is win more though hella strong if you can get it set up. Kit might in time come back this way, Colossus no, they are on Floodgate patrol.
Punishment has been bad because it has historically been really hard to fulfil its summoning condition (post snow ban). Partly because there was no good/reliable way to banish LS from the grave and partly because there have not even been 4 good LS monsters overall. Both of those change with the support.
The effect itself is simialr to the ishizu shufflers that also can potentially serve as an extender (by returning garnets to the deck) and by being a lv 8 body for xyz plays. I'd say in today's format PD is actually the better of the 2 dragons.
The fusion is incredibly win more i agree. If you get enough resources into the grave and/or your minerva athena does not get negated you are basically winning anyway.

samurai destroyer just seems like a worse odd eyes meteorburst dragon
(edit): yugioh player cant read shocker, so it doesnt stop yubel sure but its not a dragon so its still just not worth to run in tenpai
Meteorburst doesn't stop Yubel or continuous effects
It also has basically the Ancient Gear effect of no cards/effects can be activated once the battle has started. This includes spells/traps, while Metorburst just stops monsters.
(And what the other person said about actually negating the attack target's effects, rather than just stopping them from activating any.)
If there comes a format where the activated effects of monsters in the battle phase matter more than continuous effects/effects in general and there's no threat of backrow, then yeah in that case Samurai Destroyer is worse, but right now Samurai is better. Though I'm not sure how meta relevant since you still need to enter battle with it, just to beat over 1 monster with equal or less than 2600 attack.
as always Yugioh players cannot read for some reason, its so easy to see samurai destroyer being far superior...

If you think MST.TV team members don't use clickbait words, you might be detached from reality.
But even if you weren't detached from reality, Kitkallos is at 1 in Master Duel and Tear is not the powerhouse it used to be.
TCG banned Kitkallos b/c they needed to sell the newer stuff. Along with playerbase not hitting up locals, making things bad for YGO. Once Tear gets power crept, TCG will probs put Kitkallos to 1.
