At its heart, Hedra is a super advanced pitch-shifter, which lets you create unique 3-voice tap-tempo synchronized harmonies and arpeggios. Now add chromatic and diatonic key driven harmonies with 6 different selectable scales, momentary auto-swell, detuning, unique pitch-glide effects, 4 different delay line routing methods and wild on-the-fly parameter changes via either an expression pedal or MIDI, and you have a truly transcending creation.

Both channels have their strengths and both bring out the best of these pedals. I found this channel after watching a bunch of knobs and I love them both. I especially love when they both feature the same pedal because I get a larger idea of what it's capable of.

I was waiting all day for Meris to make the announcement and when I saw the video on their website I thought "eh... it's cool, but I don't need it." I bought a Hedra because I wanted a pitch shifter and saw it at the UK Guitar Show a few weeks ago. Your demo unlocks stuff that I didn't find in the manual, which is very short and not very clear. Your demo, on the other hand, is very clear. It made me realise that I need an expression pedal at the very least. Along with a ton of other stuff... It is a hugely powerful pedal. Thank you!
I found that to get the Midi interface working, you need to get the Meris Midi I/O box. The expression pedal connection is pretty interesting.

I’m always amazed at what you can do with pedals, & this is no exception. I think if most of us sat down with this we’d walk away going, “okay that does some cool weird things, but there’s no practical use for it.” You really show how things like this can be used in a real musical way.

Amazing. The Meris feature video didn't sell this to me at all. But your creative and musical practice has really created some amazingly beautiful and compositions and soundscapes. Now i'm sold! Not sure I'll ever use it for anything other than just floating away on my own, but that may just be enough!

Cheers, buddy! Trust me, something like this is amazing in a band/song-context (especially in stereo). Can really make melodies stand out. I used a Digitech TimeBender a lot in my old band, and I greatly enjoyed that pedal, but Hedra is something else. Just tracks and sounds a trillion times better.
Even though you’re clearly gushing with praise for the pedal 99% of the time, thank you for mentioning its polyphonic limitations there at the end. Important information for some people to have for sure. Also thank you for a beautiful review both sonically and visually.

I've been watching youtube video demos of this pedal all day. I'm a keyboardist (not a guitarist) but I think I really want this pedal. I can imagine doing so many cool things with it.
I honestly think this pedal truly shines on keys. The synth piece in my demo is personally my favorite part and a segment I had a blast filming. You should definitely get it if you’re a jays player 👍

This kind of pedals sometimes get over the players that try to show them to other people. Here you are in control and that’s great from a listener/watcher point of view.
I feel like adding my Levitation Reverb + a Digitech whammy pedal to completely let those frequencies fly out of control. Maybe an enzo (if i had one...) to completely stretch out the idea of what a guitar is supossed to sound like. After all these years in my music journey im still astonished by the infinite possibilities that 12 notes can provide. Been a subscriber since years and this channel is still the best when it comes to pedal demos.

This is the best video I've seen so far on how to use the Hedra. I just got one a few days ago and I'm amazed at the level(s) of complexity lurking beneath those six simple-looking knobs. You do an excellent job of peeling back the layers of the onion so it's easy to see what's in there. Thanks for this video.
