I've been getting back into dream pop stuff like Cocteau Twins and this pedal would be perfect to build those lush layers. The synth layering was fantastic too, very evocative ambient sound. Think I'm gonna have to carve out part of the budget for this one. Thanks for such a thorough and musical review.
I was just about to purchase a polymoon and was curious about how a Hedra would mate with a Bass… sounds like I need to reconsider my need for another delay. 😆. Thanks for all the wonderful sonic samples.
I've got a Digitech Timebender, which covers basically the whole Hedra territory and much more, but it's extremely power hungry and can't process anything lower than an A (on my bass VI). Maybe I'll trade it for a Hedra.
Hi Zach, nice demo. I have a question, did you used the Meris with your bass in active mode? I am curious to find out because I just bought a Polymoon and two of my basses are active only and I'm concerned that the pedal might not like the extra gain sent to it. Thanks...
Pedals like this are what lead to my comment on the last video - this is a wonderful pedal (as was the CxM), but $300 seems far more reasonable to me than $900 and this unit seems studier for pedal board duty without the motorized sliders. Obviously, they are entirely different pedals, but I do wonder if they couldn't have worked to get the price of the CxM down from $900. I get the appeal of the CxM, but the cost just throws me!
@@ZacharyRizer totally agree - sounded amazing. And funny that you'd say that about the Mercury 7 - I was literally on the Sweetwater page looking at the Mercury 7 this exact moment. Would _love_ to see a review! Thanks for shooting these videos. I need some convincing to spend money on pedals. Truthfully, my Cali76 CB is about as expensive as I'd normally go for something I'd step on, but I'm willing to pay for quality. Can't imagine it's cheap to shoot these videos, but they do help me justify spending $$$ on nice pedals :)
We clearly love the name.. :)
As an LVX owner, it would be interesting to see some of these techniques programmed on an LVX.
This is number one on my G.A.S. list. Can't wait to get home and watch this. Love your videos
The Hedra is one of my favorite pedals I own, I love what you did with it!

Another awesome video Zach. Glad I got to see you check this one out.
I like to see a comparison of the Hedra & LVX.
Thanks man. I cherish every video you make. I love the format. So well put together.
The detuned synth sound got me. Great demo
Hey man, awesome demo! Thanks for putting it together.
Very cool demo, Zach! Hope to see you demo more Meris pedals!

Dang! That's all I got. This is my first time listening to this pedal.
Been on the fence about this, especially with a good expression pedal but now I want one! Reminds me of the fmeron
Awesome do more!
Love the thoroughness and the combinations. I would really like to see your take on the Enzo and the Ottobit Jr as well.
Thanks for doing what you do.
Ottobit jr is dope when you use it after an envelope filter, just smash the sample rate knob!
@@steffengotsch I will give this a shot tonight.
Is there any chance that you have more meris pedals in the queue? Especially Ottobit jr.
Great content !
Great video as always. Meris has interesting pedals but with so many options 16 presets ara a bit of a downer.
I'm a guitarist but your demos have been extremely helpful in deciding what pedal to invest in , but most importantly which ones to avoid. Thank you.

12:47 sounds like a distorted wulitzer electric piano
@zach so the the hedra here couldn't replace the hog2?

My GAS thanks you relentlessly! My family's budget - not so much...
