i totally agree with you! but in the animated version, the prince didn't know she was a kind person, and noticed her because of her looks. they did a great job fixing that part of the storyline in the live - action movie! :>

She showed up wearing a gown, hairdo, and accessories made with MAGIC designed to complement her to a T. Moreover, you're kidding yourself if you think physical attraction doesn't play some kind of a role, and there isn't anything shallow about that. My guy suspected I was "the one" from the first time he saw me. He knew I was the one on the next date. Physical attraction to appearance, body language, and facial expressions gets your foot in the door, but character is what lasts.

Depending on the time of year, they may have had a few hours together to talk about their values and priorities in life, not just dance, but it's a children's movie. Kids don't want to watch adults just talk. Lol That being said, he was being forced by his father into getting married, and quite soon, so he would see grandchildren before passing. And in those days, often people of the court didn't know their spouse very well, or at all, before getting married. Not most, but certainly a sizable portion. There's a lot to unpack when it comes to social, cultural, and political norms of the time and how they differ from today. The concept of marrying someone because you love them is a relatively modern concept, hence you see it so often in fairytales as something people dream of. Laymen used to be more apt to marry for survival, because you needed more than just one person to run the family farm and keep food on the table. Thanks for the complement on my username, by the way.

I do not even know if that beautiful slipper will fit. But, if it does, will you take me as I am? An honest country girl who loves you." "I forgive you." Lily James portrayed the character really well. She gave Cinderella more character that young women can admire. Also, the love story here became more realistic than just being a plain love at first sight. ♥ It reminds me of Ever After. But both movies hold their own charm. ^_^

I think this film owes alot of it's success to Kenneth Branagh. He is excellent at casting a film and really plans out his films ahead of time to the last detail. Because he himself is a great actor he gets great performances from his cast and crew! The only live action movie I have liked so far. Excellent job!

What meant the most to me seeing this film with a little girl very dear to me, is the lesson of forgiveness Cinderella extended to her stepmother. Cinderella's mother instilled that in her and it stayed within her heart to keep her heart soft and receptive. I wish more people thought this way.

It is. This is only a fairytale. In reality, no one could be like her. Everyone has her/his darkside. Even the kindest person in the world. So what we have to do is control ourself, don't show the evil side of us, and be a good person, even not perfect like cinderella.

Cinderella's dress made from magic so it looks magical and unreal but Belle is a simple girl, so her dress is simple and minimalistic yet elegant. And the dress was horrible, for the simple fact it wasn't so amazing as it should be. Belle's dress has to be simple enough to look like get from a closet, but beautiful enough to look like get from a closet in a PRINCE's castle. But no, they made it poorly. Belle was supposed to be strong but not rude or the type of person who screams with people all the time. THAT'S why Emma was a terrible choice, she ruined Belle and I will never forgive her for that.

J'ai découvert cette chanson dans le film de Noël 🎄 🎅 "A royal winter" sorti en 2017. Après l'avoir vainement cherché sur UA-cam je la retrouve aujourd'hui par hasard. C'est une chanson interprétée par des enfants pour servir de berceuse à des enfants plus petits. Très belle musique au piano, très belles paroles et aussi très bonne diction. Comme c'est chanté doucement c'est plus facile de suivre en même temps pour tous ceux et celles qui ne parlent pas anglais dès la naissance.

Actually both are beautiful really so don't say one is better and the other it's not because all princesses dress are beautiful like Princess Jasmine so yeah
I like both tbh. Both represented the princesses well. Cinderella's dress made from magic so it looks magical and unreal but Belle is a simple girl, so her dress is simple and minimalistic yet elegant. And i have to agree with Emma that a corset, even though looks stunning, represents unrealistic shape of women.
@@primcasiha. "Unrealistic shape of women"???? What??? That was something between the 18th and the 19th century. A corset was THEIR reallity. We cannot change that. And the dress was horrible, for the simple fact it wasn't so amazing as it should be. Belle's dress has to be simple enough to look like get from a closet, but beautiful enough to look like get from a closet in a PRINCE's castle. But no, they made it poorly. Belle was supposed to be strong but not rude or the type of person who screams with people all the time. THAT'S why Emma was a terrible choice, she ruined Belle and I will never forgive her for that.

J'ai découvert cette chanson dans le film de Noël 🎄 🎅 "A royal winter" sorti en 2017. Après l'avoir vainement cherché sur UA-cam je la retrouve aujourd'hui par hasard. C'est une chanson interprétée par des enfants pour servir de berceuse à des enfants plus petits. Très belle musique au piano, très belles paroles et aussi très bonne diction. Comme c'est chanté doucement c'est plus facile de suivre en même temps pour tous ceux et celles qui ne parlent pas anglais dès la naissance.
