- Qomotop 10 person Tent Setup and Review
After several camping trips with this tent, I decided to make a video showing just how easy it is to setup for 1 person and also just how big this thing is. It easily accommodates our queen size air mattress with plenty of room to add another for when we bring the kids along. Plenty of space and plenty of ventilation has made this our go to tent even with just 2 people. Thanks for watching and please subscribe to the channel here www.youtube.co...

"Who wants to go camping and sit inside and watch TV?" Yes, exactly! You gained a new subscriber with that one sentence.
Thanks so much for the comment and sub! ❤️⛰🔥
Great review. I've been looking at getting my first tent all year but I'm so indecisive. Planning my first camping trip ever and I really like this tent. I'll be bringing my dog. Wasn't sure if I can handle a tent this size but you made it look easy.
I just purchased this tent and my son and I put it up in the yard in about 3 minutes and we even got it to fit in the bag once we took it down!
Awesome! That’s great to hear. Getting it back in the bag just takes a little patience bc the tent is so huge you have to get the air out. We love this tent! We didn’t take it this weekend bc we were trying out the new much smaller tent for motorcycle camping and while the new tent worked as it should, we definitely missed the “blue mansion” and all the space it provides. Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback! 🏕
I must admit I bought it even though I have a much better white duck bell tent, this is a good back up. Thanks for sharing.. the old man in the mountains camping..
It worked so well for us this past season, we’re moto camping this year and I know it’s going to be a cherished luxury!!
@@cullinthemost keep on going what is good for you, enjoy the camping thing the best you can, the old man said that..
Those ratchets look like a great idea! I'm definitely buying some.
You will thank me I promise, I use them all the time but they’re a true gem for camping and tying off. I keep a bunch of them in a small tote in my truck at all times. Thanks for watching!
Thank you. I read reviews it gets soaked inside during the rain but those were in 2020 and a lot of design changes can happen since then. Gotta see y'all in camping action with this tent if there is such a video.
ours has stayed completely dry in the rain but in a storm with high winds i could see some possible problem areas but i do believe if everything is guyed out properly then there shouldn't be an issue. I have been in some substantial 15-25 mph wind with it and it is a very large tent so it catches the wind. I only had the top guyed out in 2 spots, one to a nearby tree and the other to a tent stake. I only used one on the bottom and anchored it to the hitch on my truck. It flexed in the wind but had no issues. In those situations if rain were present I would have guyed out all the points on the tent.
@@cullinthemost, thank you for responding and so quickly! Oh, I do understand. Thank you so much. This is very useful information to me. May the Lord bless you and yours for this.
This one says it’s waterproof but time will tell!
Everyone does a setup video, I’d like to see one on fitting the tent back into the bag, it is a struggle every time for us, not sure if I’m folding something wrong or what
We don’t have any issues but I use the ratcheting ropes, 4 or 5 of them to get all the air out and tighten them sequentially. Without them it would take a bit more finessing for sure.
We are going on year 3 with this tent and still love it. It’s huge and has held up great for us in significant wind and rain.
Thanks for your video. It's missing takedown...
I’ll make one this weekend, we have a family camping trip scheduled for this weekend. It’s basically the same in reverse but I use the ratcheting tie downs to compress it once it’s folded back up. It can be done with one person but it’s much easier with an extra set of hands.
Thank you 😊
You’re welcome! Thanks for the comment!
Awesome video.. did the blue print come with it?
It did not come with the blue tarp underneath, I just always lay a tarp down to keep the bottom clean and help with longevity.
Great review! By chance do you have the link for the ratchet ties you used? They looked small on the video and couldn't see them. New to camping and would like to know more about these ratchet ties. Thanks!
I have them linked in the description but that listing is no longer available, you can still click on it and it will give you a bunch of listings from different sellers. They are a must for me, I use them daily.
Thanks for such a quick reply! Bummer. Couldn't click on it? Thanks anyway!

Thank you so much for this video! what size was that tarp you had under it?
I’m not completely certain, I looked back and tried to find my harbor freight receipt but couldn’t locate it. Based on what they show currently available I would choose the 11’4”x17’6”.
Where did you order that blue tarp for the bottom?
I bought it at harbor freight
How is it with the rain?
We actually camped this past weekend and it rained on us overnight. I had a very large tarp down as a groundsheet and wasn’t expecting the rain so I didn’t pay much mind to the grade when we’re setting up. It wasn’t a very heavy rain but it was steady for a couple of hours in the middle of the night. No drips whatsoever made it in from the top or sides but what’s really amazing is because of my poor choice of site and the tarp being down, there was a ton of water pooled under the center of the tent the next morning and the tub of the tent kept every bit out. We’ve been camping a lot with the smaller tent we bought this year and I’ve made the same mistake with it and we had 2 inches of water inside the tent from the ground. I’ve said before, I don’t know how the qomotop will perform in an extremely windy rain but so far it it continues to be the best tent I have personally ever owned.
Do u recommend this tent? Thinking of getting the 8 man one
Absolutely, we have camped about 10 times in it this year and we love it. It will make your life a lot easier to get some sort of strap on it for getting it back on the bag, I use the ratcheting tie downs listed in the video description, they’re great for all kinds of uses as well. I keep several in my truck at all times.
@@cullinthemost have u experienced how it holds up in the rain?
Yes, twice. In rain with light wind it does wonderful, i haven’t had it in a storm with high winds during rain but just rain it had no issues at all. I rarely use any of the guy lines but if it were to come a big storm I would definitely guy out the top. Once again those ratchet ropes make guying out or tying a breeze.
