I’ve been watching your content now for about three months and frankly, it has changed the way I view working out. I want to partake in a Natural Competition in 2027. It's my goal to bring something to the stage that I'm proud of and give it all I can. If that results in any kind of win is not up to me. It's up to the judges, and to who else turns up on that day. A bunch of people who are just as dedicated as I am and are no less deserving.
      It doesn't matter. If you love the process and it's your dream to be up on stage, do it! Let go of results. The dice will fall as they will.

      Well... The pro card isn't for everyone. You need to tolerate what the drying will do to your body - and it'll suck - and you kinda need to be genetically very good in the exactly right places. That's rare, and expensive. Just going for general fitness is fine. Besides the attempt will shave a few years of life down the road.
      Train more, see if you have the prerequisites in the future.

    Nice to see you guys address erector thickness as opposed to just lats. This is why guys who deadlift always have the thickest erectors. These flexion rows basically mimic a heavy deadlift with some flexion while not giving near as much systemic or axial fatigue. I’m a powerlifter but if I ever do bodybuilding focused training I’d do these every back day to maintain my entire back. Not just lats. Whenever I see bodybuilders talk about back it’s almost like they don’t even realize lats aren’t the only muscle in the back. Far from it.

    "I see you got a pump..."
    No you didn't. The man looks like he is in a constant flex. There is little to no fat and literally more muscle on his frame than I have seen in my lifetime. Ronny would be impressed!!
    Damn I wish I had seen this yesterday before my Back/Bicep workout. Next week it is ON!!

    Dear grandmaster Dr. Mike, could you make a video, how you would structure a week, if you go to the gym (4 times in even weeks, 5 times in uneven weeks) and another sport (KravMaga, 3 times a week)? KravMaga is always in the evening. If I go to the gym in the morning, I can still be smoked from the previous evening. If go to the gym during lunchtime, the rest until evening is shortened. Or would you freeze the time slots and reduce volume? Or should I reach out to Mr. Goggins and stop crying? Btw, I do this because I can .. and love it.

    The warm-up gets blood flowing into the muscles. Makes them less prone to tearing imo.

    Love Cobra Gripps. Have versas too. Cobras are my big boy Gripps when pulling deads. Cobras secure differently and have more leather/material “surface area”.

    Help with Adaptive Hypertrophic exercises!
    How do you increase muscle in the quads without being able to do squats and missing the muscle connections between ankle-calf-quad. Im a below knee amputee and my quad muscles have atrophied to almost nothing and I can't figure out what exercise is best. I don't feel any activation when doing squats probably because the calf muscles aren't activating cause they arent attached to the ankle. How can I bypass this? Im 2inches in diameter smaller on my right side and I am concerned I won't be able to build it back up.

    Flexion Rows are my favorite after T Bar Rows. They help my erectors and I feel that SSS Tier stretch. And I don’t have to go heavy. It’s all about that stretch. And it improves my assisted pull-ups as well as my back pain.

    Should we always start with compound exercises, or can we start with isolation exercises and move to compound? Some trainers say it's better to make your muscles feel more fatigue in advance
    Sorry for the offtop but I can't find the answer anywhere. Really hope you will help me guys.

    Newbie here. Id love a video on why people end up getting injured. Is it almost always lifting too heavy? Is it purely a form issue? Is it from doing bad form over a long time? All of the above? I’m terrified of getting injured.

    • @VeteranVandal
      @VeteranVandal Місяць тому +1

      Injuries are complicated. A lot of times big loads are the issue, but not the only issue. Other issues are: not sleeping, poor technique, cold therapy, trying to do explosive versions of exercises, not having spotters, poor exercise selection, ignoring muscle recovery, not eating enough, etc. Not sure Mike covers all of those in one video, but he mentions this here and there.
