Burcol you were the one who got me into dbxv2 5 or 6 years ago I remember watching dbs in 2017 the goku black ark and I honestly wanted a dragon ball game to play and when I first saw your videos I was like dayum he’s good but when I watched your videos it’s like I subconsciously analyzed them to get better at the game I’m honestly thankful for you helping me get better at this game over the years and now I’m lvl 120
"You would be surprised how many people want me to teach them how to play" Nope. I wouldn't. Heck, was tempted to ask that myself a few times, but always abstained because I figured it would be a bother with your uploading schedules and such. Your fighting prowess really is that good in this game.
I know it's contrary to the better judgement in this video, but I still wanna mention the "Jack of all trades" quote is usually cut short in a way that reverses the meaning of the original. The full quote is: "Jack of all trades, Master of none, Better than a master of One." It's meant to mean versatility can often outpace over-specialization. Now, I do also acknowledge that "picking a main" is still crucial, because for one, that's not quite "over" specialization, it's more like what Burcol said earlier about "don't run before you can walk". Main is your go-to specialty, but not necessarily the ONLY thing you play. Again, I still agree that you do need a main before you should worry about practicing on what MtG players might call "sideboard" characters for special scenarios.
I started XV2 in August '24 and have so much left to learn. Almost to the end of the story, did the original 100 PQs and Elite Raids with my brother. I love watching Burkol's vids and this one really helps. Didn't know about Just Guard -> Throw as a true combo. Hoping to see more of these!
I play on Xbox, and I have done EVERYTHING! From soloing all expert mission (and z rank), Z rank every parallel quest from 1 to 128, done all timelines, and maxed every trainer...but I just somehow feel like I lack something in actual pvp. I know it can be fun and chaotic, or sad and toxic, but in the end I jut want to improve and there isn't much out there for vide, so I'm glad even seeing the title of this. I'm hoping I can learn something here
11:40 Tip for tips giving: Never use the Jack of All Trades quote unless your favoring the jack, as the full phrase goes something like this: "A Jack of all Trades is a master of none, But is better than the master of one." Which in this case is not the point your trying to make.
I've learned how to parry pretty consistently, but i always forget that's something everyone can do and not something only the player can, so when i parry, attack and then they parry and attack i always forget that's a thing and never parry that 18:05 bro pulled the art of the silent fist from ninjago And then bro became goku with that last one
I still remember when I was unable to beat Mira with Bardock to unlock Future Super Saiyan and had to SPAM regular ki blasts to sorta exploit the AI to win. (This includes Future Gohan battle against androids too) Those fights certainly have humbled me when I was starting out back in August 2022 and I was relying too much on certain types of supers like Sudden Storm. Nowadays, its fun to play as different character in the story. Wish they make some kind of fun challenges/missions where you have to play as this character and preset and beat enemies under these conditions. (Just like in the olden days of fighting games.)
I've just returned to Xenoverse 2 after being away for quite some time (the level cap was 99 when I stopped). Coming back to the game, I have found that I have lost a lot of the skill that I once had while playing. I can't remember not clearing a mission (with an S or Z rank) on a first attempt. However, I am not nearly as good as I used to be on high-level PQs. Thank you for this video. I needed to hear the advice in this video. I'm looking forward to any other videos that you create for this topic. Cheers.
Ngl with ki canceling it feels unintentional but because it became part of the meta so they decided to lean into it because otherwise the pvp playerbase would be pissed
17:43 I play the online mode of a mobile Dragonball inspired game and I can confirm, some people dash in the air a lot, others prefer more ground based combat tactics using special skills, and some people just spam the electric wizard attack and the full power energy wave because they know very well the devs don't know what the world Balanced means and plops arbitrary stats on the moves and makes whatever is popular at the time do the most damage and cancel other attacks which is why I'm finally getting into online Xenoverse so I can abandon that hell behind forever.
If there´s gonna be a series about Coach Burcol I highly recommend Burcol wearing fitting clothes for that: Piccolo´s whole set ( I think he´s one of the best mentors in all of Dragonball since he trained the most characters like Gohan´s basic skills and mastering Beast offscreen, Goten and Trunks when they had to learn the fusion, Trunks to teach him the Evil Containment wave in DBS and his youngest student being Pan ) King Kai´s full set or maybe if there´s anytime soon gonna be a set of Whis or Vados oc THEIR whole set. Just to get into the mood yk.
I’ve learned so much from this man. Proper grammar , tips in Xenoverse 1 and 2. I know you’re probably not gonna read this but thank you , you’ve changed my life man !
14:35 2 Ki blasts then a full wave, if the second blast doesn't hit it doesn't matter if the first did, it won't use the energy wave. Didn't know that one... I usually read the attacks, but I never know those secrets cause they're not written.... Though in hindsight I may have used crush streams back hit on accident a few times...
Perfect block into grab is actually NOT a guarantee. Here's 2 separate reasons: 1 - If your opponent has any of a few specific types of super armor the grab simply will not connect. 2 - When a characters normal attack has been perfect blocked it allows them to guard immediately. Even if the move normally does not allow guard canceling, they can guard for a tiny fraction of a second and still have time to do anything else. Actually, it doesn't have to be a guard cancel; could go for a smash attack instead(i.e. up + light attack, or up + heavy attack) I've actually seen a bot hit me with Serious Bomb right after I perfect blocked them, I was flabbergasted.
Something I've been told a lot is Don't throw out random supers/ultimates..or Alternatively Don't spam the supers/ultimates (both of which...I still admittedly do)
2:29 okay 😅 I'll be back after i beat it. Those 1v3 AI fights gang up on me badly. I have to dog on one by one in hopes to win and whole time they flank me while I'm comboing. P.s I am going to elder ki for advance training 😅
I honestly hope they fix the skill gacha system cause yes it’s pretty much a gacha system there is no reason you shouldn’t auto gain a skill if you perfectly beat the match
Another giant piece of information that all should abide by is stop jumping targets in PQs, one person per target so multiple people are not attacking one person at the same time constantly missing attacks and messing up eachother’s combos, PLEASE!!!!!!
Actually, it isn't that difficult. It just takes practice. I am not the best at DBXV2 pvp but my perfect blocking is really good. What I am lacking is focusing and patience.
BTW, a Quality of Life (maybe) update I would want is to have a pet for our CACs, and no I’m not talking about a CC Mascot or anything like that I’m talking about actual animals in game, like dogs, cats, maybe even dragons, etc., we don’t see many pet owners in the Dragon Ball Franchise, or even in the games, there’s no reason why Xenoverse 2 shouldn’t do this
Games okay most of the time. Has a lot of content which is cool, but the battles suck imo. There's nothing fun about button mashing and getting stunning locked. And the surprise encounters after you just fought through 4 or 5 different enemies is bs too
If you decide to make a playlist of these, the title should be “How to Get Good”, that title specifically is for giggles
It was for noobs actually

Jack of all trades is a master of none, but still often better than a master of one. Is the FULL quote

I do read Skill and Super Soul Descriptions, but you can also test them out if you’re not entirely sure if it’s right for you
Yay, I can finally get good at this game, thank you
11:40 that’s not the full version, the rest of it is “but better than a master of one” but what your getting at makes sense. Much love though bro❤

He spams that trick.

Whenever I try to perfect block an ult I usually act like it's a rhythm game to help myself time it.
Ngl I'm still surprised this game is still alive lol. After I did story and some PQ I stopped playing lol. But nice video. :)
Like 800k or so players monthly still

Can you make a video which ultimate is good for each race
It was bound to happen
Hey burcol I was wondering could you make a video of all your custom presets of partners?
I’m 35-0 in online matches I think I’m doing great
Have you unlocked festival hercule ?
They should have a little video instead of just saying ki blast or strike
Should I use type a or type c
What do I do when the opponent spams vanishing step to back up when he uses vanish
I’m at lvl 86 I started over because sparkling zero not xenoverse I like the game and the creativity I’m staying on xenoverse 2

Bro, I got your point but I wanna be a player who just guards any attack, how can you help me!?

@Pokéfan1388 I could definitely learn but I just hate doing it, it's cheesy af.

Hi
Advice about the perfect block don't use it against Perfect Kamehameha it can't be blocked or perfect blocked
Nobody would have the gall to do a raw Perfect Kamehameha in the first place 🙂
