Elijah Wood, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan and Sean Astin, who play four Hobbits in the trilogy, have paid tribute to Bernard Hill at the event where they were headlining. Hill passed away Sunday morning aged 79, his agent Lou Coulson said.
He played the role of Captain Edward Smith in the 1997 Oscar-winning movie Titanic and King Théoden in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
I think we sometimes forget that LOTR came out 24 years ago. We have lost many of the older actors and crew since then and will continue to. It will never be easy but we will forever have them in the movie and our memories.
