    That finish just from clear without a buff or polish is unbelievable.
    I would be happy with just that if I had done the job.

    Kandy man love your videos... that's not a thick clearcoat we all know it. At the end you said it best, to buy more clear than you need because it doesn't go that far AKA thin clearcoat medium solids at best... that clear is ppg shopline private label so good luck with Florida's sun...😅

    As a painter it feels so good when you have such a nice booth to really lay down a nice job and see our work shine . Night and day from a subpar booth we all used for years . That dual car booth kicks ass !

      Been at same shop past 20 years, total crap booth. 6 lights 2 have been out for a while. When it rains it came in through ceiling filters. Getting new booth. Just tore old one down. Not sorry to see go. Finally something to look forward to.

    He took his time on that front bumper because its one of the most valuable parts of that car. GXP bumpers are hard to find and expensive when you do!!!

    Very nice, do the collision part of this business haven't painted since the 90s. Going to paint a truck i bought so been looking l around for tips and products on UA-cam . You are one of the best on here . Like how you walk down the car withthe paint gun. reminds me of the stripe custom vans of the 80s that's how we did it

    You definitely don't get the same gloss finish as the more expensive clears but for a high volume workshop it's okay does the job

    Beautiful finish from the Eastwood clearcoat Candy Man, I think it's difficult to get all the Eastwood products here but I know some are available but I haven't tried them. My paint scheme is solvent which I prefer in my little homemade booth, I have tried water based but I find it difficult to get a good finish plus drying it can be a problem, looking forward to the next one🙏👍John UK

    Quite right, unfamiliarity (not reading the product sheet making the paint too thick or thin) combined with too hot or cold have been the causes of problems in my experience. Great video as always Kandyman!

    In the booth, the metallic made it look like a graphite, but in the shop, it's a deep black. Nice job! You didn't hit Mike over the head for that front bumper, guess he done good. Eastwood, move over PPG and House of Kolor

    It came out lovely and should look the business after a cut and buff , i'm painting an old Daimler Double Six tommorrow in my small unit. I've based it up today with 2 coats and going too nib it down and more base tommorrow then clear . 20 odd years painting LOL i've been at it 47 and still learning . 👍👍👍👍

      Didn't bake it but the next day it was still very glossy

    on my 95 Civic, I am debating if I should have the quarter glass removed for respray. The concern I have is the moldings are no longer available so if something breaks I may be screwed. Your professional thoughts / recommendation?

      I would check with the glass it a much better job when removed

    should the drop coat not be done immediately after the 2nd base coat? I thought it still needed to be wet since youre holding the gun further away now? thanks

      I let mine dry then apply the drop coat

    Bad ass sir, quick question whats the maximum amount of clear coats that should be applied? If you going to block sand the clears coat, the clear coat is cromax g2 7779s

      3 coats is what I do. if looking for more sand then reapply 2 more, known as a flow coat

    Im painting a truck in my garage with metalic single stage. Its getting to be a high of 55°-58° out. Its got a heater vent but i expect it will be about 60ish with ventilation and some space heaters. Should i stick with medium activator or use the slow since its a bigger job?

    I thought you never want to go higher than 400 grit when painting a car for adhesion purposes?

      Depends the jobs blends 800 .fully painted panels 400 -600
