I know this never happened but this looks 100% like it could have. The dialogue is the only thing that sort of gives it away, but even then the conversation feels like they could really be talking with one another. The way Neil just sorta interrupts what Johns saying just to repeat him and then derail the conversation is perfect. The way John wants to talk about himself but then has to uncomfortably sit through Neil talking is perfect. This is like a pingtrip edit but even more real. Neil: What if everybody lined up at the green pump?! John: ...yeah I was gonna go DO that...
Neil's so freaking awesome, swear to god man..I've always loved how he gets right to the point doesn't waste time or screw around beating around the bush verbally, just says what he means, and means what he says. I wish more people were that way. I had to laugh during this conversation with John Mayer, he appears a bit surprised by Neil's straightforwardness, but by the end of the video Mayer is agreeing with Neil and accepting his views. Lol. It's like the young understudy talking with the professional. I cracked up watching Neil's response to Mayer making sounds with his mouth " ting, ting " high and low sounds, Neil kind of shook his head with a slight wry smile. There's zo much intrigue in this interview , subtle nuances. Very funny. As you can see, doesn't take much to entertain me. Lol.

I knew who he was but at the time at my young age did not appreciate his talent/music. I was listening to Bobby Brown and Young MC. I don't really remember any conversation we just hung out and smoked. 20 years later, I had much more respect and interest in his writing and music and even more so today. The one thing besides cigarettes we did have in common was music and environment. If I still smoked now and crossed his path again, I would have lots to say and would love to hear his interests if he was willing to share. Life is funny. Do you know who your standing next to?

I've read Neil follows his muse no matter what the consequence. That's both magical and inconsiderate at the same time. Stills, Nash have both said it. Success an money allow for it to be. As a musician myself, early on I've HAD to have "day jobs" to address my responsibilities , until I was able to make a living with just my music career.
“Love” that’s the message. I don’t know if love is right or wrong. I just know when I feel love and feel loved. When in doubt, Love is the international language. Everyone knows what love is. Why is John looking clueless? He is so irresistible in his innocence. Then again, there’s Neil who knows when to change the channel. Some moments are just meant to be.
The new generation is saying, „look at what I do“ and the wise old man is saying „cool, what can you do for others now?“ Neil is young, and beautiful still…I love you, man.
