I love that tuning. It can be done on Ukulele and even guitar (although the low string is so low it is about useless lol.) It is useful and common in Indian Carnatic music which got me wondering in my head how that might be applicable to the CBG. Something to ponder... Also, I been to your website a couple times. Is your online store going to be opening soon as in the next month or two?
Hi Mike! I found it interesting that you mentioned Carnatic music. Recently, two people have told me that my cigar box guitars have a unique sound that is not typical of Western string instruments. I believe that it is because of my choice of a metal bridge/saddle that is perfectly horizontal, which creates the resonances and tuning idiosyncrasies that make my builds sound the way they do. I agree with you, and I will look into this further.
I want to thank you for visiting my website. I was planning to launch my store this month, but I ran into a massive roadblock. I thought that I had worked out shipping details with a local carrier business, but when I shipped my first out-of-state CBG order, I was blindsided by unexpected shipping costs.
