I've ridden all these roads on many different bikes. Totally incredible scenery. My buddy and I bought a couple 2022 Royal Enfield Himalayans last year, and now have been travailing BC on the forest roads. Different kind of riding, but I've been loving it.
Ride safe Rod and thanks for the video. I really want to get up there one of these days to ride BC and Alberta. The ice road between Jasper and Banff is on my bucket list. Riding days are coming! I can feel it.
Thanks for the view & feedback Bogus M. I have road the glacier highway many times from Banff to Jasper & back. I suggest doing it before July and August since the tourist traffic in this section is brutal and watch out for the Big Horn Sheep and Elk they are huge in this park! 🦌
Did the Whistler to Vancouver ride before as well as the one to Oamk, WA. Need to do Hwy 20 someday soon. Been binging on your videos the last few day while I am racked up in bed with the flu. Like the humor and knowledge you impart. Going to sub and keep up with your latest vids when they come out. Looking forward to them, eh! (That's my attempt at Canadian speak). LOL!!!
Great vid, man! I've had the pleasure of the Sea To Sky many times, as you know, and it is stunning. The run from Pemberton to Lytton is a personal favorite! Highway #20 is on my list for this year. It looks great! Thanks for the added inspiration.
Thanks Guy, I think we should go east this year to Montana and ride the Going to the Sun Road back and do HWY 20 together. Make a 2-3 day trip and enjoy the ride - 👍 😎
Ugh…I was thinking ahead of time it’d be a miracle if either of the roads were in New England and within my reach , but maybe I can ind time to ride out into the country (USA)some ….then I see you’re in Canada ,and showing some beautiful scenic rides
All those New England forest roads, Highway 1 to Boston, North to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia hospitality plus driving distance to Sherbrook Poutine... I'm jealous 🤔Thanks for the feedback & view Vic!
I live in BC and often have enjoyed the roads out here. However, I spent a couple of summers in NH and had aDucati Monster to explore the fabulous backroads. Having ridden both I’d be hard pressed to say which is more spectacular. I have to admit I have very fond memories of the tight twisty and roller coast roads of backwoods NH, nothing out here comes close. Cheers
your channel is so under-rated. just bought a vfr800fi. ive done your snorkel removal etc. would you advise changing stock exhaust. or is it not a big difference. its 1999. so non cat version.😀
Hi Roy and thanks for the feedback & view! The non cat version of the VFR800FI would gain less power than the 2000/2001 version (like mine) by a slip-on change. However you can probably save about 10-15lbs of weight by changing out the factory exhaust to an aftermarket. After that it is personal preference based on noise level appreciation and riding style. Since you've done the flapper valve and snorkel I would assume noise is not a big factor for you so it is probably worth doing the exhaust. Any time the engine breaths better (air in, exhaust out) the bike will make more power and run better! - Good Luck 👍
Hello Rod, Really enjoying your videos ~ Thank you! My two favourites are Iron Mountain Road (16A) South of Mt Rushmore. Think lots of switch backs, tunnels, bridges and 270º corners! Second on is the Million Dollar Highway, Ourway (just south of Portland) to Durango Colorado ~ lots of switch back and elevation gains/loses. Cheers John
Depends on the bike but I typically get 8-10K km's with heavier machines. Went through a couple sets on my K1300S at that mileage. Just replaced the front tire on this VFR1200 but when with a battleax since the rear is still about 60% and that is what was in the rear. The bridgestone tires fade much quicker I find, about 2-3000km less but they are cheaper.
Hey Rod how has the stator held up on the VFR. Trying to decide between Electrosport like what you installed into the VFR or Ricks Motorsport Electric. One 134 and Ricks for 166.
Hello Alejandro, The stator is fine, I have now gone back to the manufacturer and found it available through this link for even less $$$ rebrand.ly/iqkvr4i
Thanks for the view. It probably feels light because the previous tire was cupped. Aside from that; are the treads the same front to back, same tire? Check tire pressure with a second gauge to confirm the first reading isn't off. Good Luck!

Sometimes a little different than what you've been doing is a great thing... Thanks for the feedback & view.

So much nice on road riding, and so much nice offroad riding all over bc
Thanks Keith!
And I'm sure a lot of fun on the VR1200. I have one as well and absolutely love it. Awesome machine!
Thanks for the feedback & the view! For a big bike it handles like a smaller one for sure.👍
VFR1200F..... excuse the mistake!

@@RodRidesWrenches - It's a plan, mate. Let's see if we can make it happen, eh.
I NEED to ride these....😥 Insert gunfire, AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!
Definitely not your Worst Nightmare! Thanks for the view & feedback!

Love my VFR1200f and the roads of Alberta and BC. Have you done the high wood pass in Alberta?
Hi Clint, thanks for the view & recommendation. I have ridden over most of the Province but not that road and will check it out this summer.
How's the Gold Wing coming along Rod???🇬🇧😁👍
Parts are on order... 🙄spent all my money to fix the beasty.... Videos should be out this spring!
Great video Rod, you should definitely do more of these! Being from the UK, I always enjoy seeing the amazing scenery you guys have over there.👍🏻
Thanks Trevor!

Excellent video sir! Great suggestions and editing, particularly the Rambo clips. Your VFR exhaust peaks through at just the right level as well
Thanks for the feedback & view!

Man those roads are great.
Hey how many miles do you get out of your Metzlers?

It is a great guide

Great video.... A friend of mine recently replaced his front tyre, but so some reason the front end feels light now.... Any advice?
