I have the white called "Backlight" and the pink called "Opalescence" , no mildew and no browning of leaves and they bloom forever it seems. Hello from Canada zone 6
Hello from Massachusetts. I don’t know those cultivars so I will check them out. Sadly we’ve had mildew inducing weather and even my mildew resistant plants are suffering. Plus, with my health I can’t tend them. 😞But some are soldiering on. Happy gardening 🌻

Make sure you check out the brand new tall phlox that are on the market this year and many of them are powdery mildew resistant. Happy 🪴
Hi, great question. First and foremost, I cut the plant back, if it's not flowering. Phlox will rebound nicely. Don't compost the remnants, dispose of them I. Your trash. Don't let them get near other plants. If you're wearing gloves, wash them before touching other plants and wipe the clipping where's with an alcohol wipe. If you're able to cut off all the mildew, great. If not you'll have to treat the remains parts but before doing that remove about one inch of the soil and dispose of it with cuttings. Getting rod of as many spores is vital. For an herbicide treatment I use neem oil. Mix 1 oz powdered milk to 2 liters of water. Milk doesn't burn the plant like some other treatments. If I only have a small area to treat I spy it by cotton balls. Reapply every two weeks and apply late in the day. Don't drown the plant. You can also spray the plant, avoid any flower heads or buds. Make sure you coat all sides of the leaves. If your plants are crowded thin them out in the spring when you see new growth and remember to water at the roots. Good luck and keep me posted.
