I totally agree with this and it just feels so empty when there is no commitment. Unfortunately for me I was a virgin until I was 19 and then I was raped by 3 strangers...it was a devastating event in my life because I wanted to be a virgin until I was married...this spiralled my life into low self esteem and a series of abusive relationships that felt so empty. The problem was the people I was having sex with. I thought I was building a relationship and all they were doing was hitting it...I've been celibate for nearly ten years. Best ten years of my life! I didn't stop for religion or to benefit a better partner. I removed a lot of users and liars from my life. Life is so much easier now.

Though all her points are good, I must really push the one about comparison to others. It has also brought a heap of healing to my life People may think its strange to be' committed to waiting but I want you to be' encouraged and know its possible. I fell once after my little one was born, after I finished college because of a lot of personal reasons and trying to handle it all on my own, without seeking Godly counsel. I got stuck for a few months in a relationship that was verbally/emotionally abusive and that man attempted to kill me when he realized I was trying to end it after discovering he had an entire other woman.🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ For me, the fact that God allowed me to walk away alive I am grateful. I will never be' in the arms of another man, not without marriage and knowing within me that he is the one for me. I am in no rush. The book came a year after I repented and completely submitted my will for his. I will stay faithful to God because I know the enemy sees what I could not see/what I cannot entirely grasp. I am devoted to allowing God to use every gift that He has blessed me with for His glory. God loves you and I so much, He wants the best for us and our children. I've noticed that certain talk show hosts and celebs blatantly SHAME adult virgins, and say things that are the complete opposite of what God's word says. What bothers me is that these people have a huge platform and are using it to send such dangerous messages. I have decided to tune their voices out, because it's the enemy using them to shake my self esteem and make me feel bad for being a virgin. For me, the fact that God allowed me to walk away alive I am grateful. I will never be' in the arms of another man, not without marriage and knowing within me that he is the one for me. I am in no rush.
The book came a year after I repented and completely submitted my will for his. I will stay faithful to God because I know the enemy sees what I could not see/what I cannot entirely grasp. I am devoted to allowing God to use every gift that He has blessed me with for His glory.
God loves you and I so much, He wants the best for us and our children. Stay faithful and committed to Him and His Word. It will be' worth the wait. It is a daily faith walk and temptation will come but surround yourself with sisters in Christ that will be your support when times seem tougher than normal.
