Cog Hill Farm & Homestead
Guy’s, I actually cried when I saw the boys coming out of the trailer!! Welcome home, boys!!💝
I thought I was the only one, I cried tears of happiness 🙂💗
Good morning from Central Pennsylvania! I have been praying for your EASY move to the 40. I have been ready to see this move for days. 👍👍👍👍
❤@🙏 🙋
It’s amazingly wonderful grass and no more dirt to live in anymore. This is one of the best parts of the move. Space for the animal families! ❤️
The best part of my day is checking in to see if you’ve posted a new video, the let down I feel when there’s nothing new is almost as high as my excitement when y’all post a new video. Y’all have the best video’s of all farms/homesteads on UA-cam and Facebook! I absolutely am in love with Cog Hill Farm and eagerly await the next animal move! Please do a video on all moves animal and your moving too. I think I speak for all us fans, “we don’t want to miss anything” and are so HAPPY for y’all❣️😍
I agree! Best family and best videos. I love watching and have seen every video I think. So happy for the Cog Hill Family!
I don't know about any body else. But, I didn't want this vedio to end. I wanted to see all the animals come home to the new forever home. Bountiful Blessing to you guys. Keep an eye on the weather. I hear their is going to be a whole string of storms headed across the country. Heard it on "Weatherman Plus" today. High winds in some places, and SNOW.
I agree! I want the videos to just keep going too! Like reading a great book and the end is a chapter away I start getting sad. Then once the book ends I get very sad & the let down is real. I love book series. My only complaint about Cog Hill is I need more videos❣️😩😂🥰
@@teresagauntt-timberlake3193 You mean books in the series, right? (Grin)
@@teresagauntt-timberlake3193 WE WANT MORE, WE WANT MORE. WE WANT TO SEE ALL THE ANIMALS COME HOME TO THE NEW FARM AND BE ☺ HAPPY.
I was surprised that the only moved was the boys. It seemed like there was plenty of daylight left to go get the girls or some individual chicken coops of birds.
Yes had the same thought felt the door shut on us at the end .... haha but so thankful they took the time to show us the move . We miss them lately.... dont know how they found the time to upload this video, so kind of them. .
But yes wish we were there with them hahah
Make sure to give them baking soda so they can adjust their rumen PH to all that fresh grass that they aren't used to having that much of.
Yall are just the sweetest and kindess family . So happy the boys behaved and i think they gonna love there forever home , it's so nice .
Love it !!!!!!! ……. They seem confused but happy give them a couple days and there picnic table and spools they’ll be fine
I feel the love ❤️. Cog Hill 40 WOOOOO HOOOOO
I love the way Brook is just giggling about her happy boys 😊 those are some loved goats
I am so excited, I could watch you all day moving the animals.
Mary Carl’s laugh is infectious, she’s got to be the sweetest, best natured and intelligent girl… my goodness what a blessing she is☺️
Home Depot and auto parts stores usually sell paper suits, which are one piece zip up jumpers for when you are going to be working with something you don't want to get on you. When you are done with your messy job you can just throw them out.
They might need that for the chicken move
I can’t help but it here with a smile on my face watching the goats learning their new habitat. Love it.
Oh my goodness!!! Brooke and her boys are son funny!!!!! 😂😂😂
This is absolutely the best video ever!!! Hugging goats!!!
I have been getting up every morning and looking for this video, I couldn’t wait to see what you guys were moving. The boys were happy to be in their new home. They love that pretty grass. I will be watching for the next one. God bless you as you continue to move.
I also keep looking for the next video with baited breath. Congratulations.
Me too ❤️
I also eagerly await ea one. Love being a part of their journey. Such a wonderful family. Love you guys.
Hah Me too! I felt like a stalker. Yes, I have a life. You guys are great examples of animal care givers. Plus we can do mini farming vicariously thru you lol
@@heatherclayton-callaghan4270 Farmers come in all shapes and sizes. My husband's family farm had about 20 acres and a few animals. You are a farmer if you have a tractor and a bush hog and everyone there knows how to drive them lol. I do love the new homesteaders popping up all around. They also come in all shapes and sizes.
It went well because they have complete trust in ya'll. All animal owners should be more like ya'll. It really is looking wonderful there! Great job! 🤗
I thought the same thing about the trust. I think the reason some people say they have a petting zoo and not a farm is because of the love they show to their animals. That’s what I love about this channel.
Near climbed out of my skin I was so excited...wait until they figure out how much room they really have lol...this is so awesome❣
Another Accomplishment on the Gog Hill Farm, You Truly Are Amazing, thank you for sharing, Wendy
I was laughing so hard when Jason was trying to get the second (his first) goat in. Then when Mrs. Coghill said, "Seriously, I need to get out!!" I couldn't catch my breath. Y'all are the best. I just love the white goat's beard. SO handsome. They couldnt believe all that space was for them. So happy for yall.
Jason, you are HILARIOUSLY FUNNY!!!! Somebody’s gonna smell like a buck! 😂
Moving the animals is starting to finalize everything. Y’all have done so good getting everything moved efficiently & safely.
It says so much about your relationship with your critters that when they were a little unsure, they just hung with you. You are definitely their safe place.
I was actually pretty emotional watching the goats in there new home what a palace you have given them .the love you show all your animals are the best .
Great Job thank you for bringing us along with the odor Jason.🐐🐐🐐
Just a little FYI inside the goats shelter you can put a pallet and one of the small rubber mats that Tractor Supply has and the goats will love it. It will keep them up off the ground if any water gets in and if it’s cold keeps them off the cold ground. My goats love the one I make them. They are going to love the new farm. And all the room they have and grass they will think they won the lottery. God bless I’m so happy for y’all. You can see excitement on your faces about getting moved to the new farm. I sure don’t blame you I would love to have that much land myself. 🎊🎉🌈😊👍🥳 it’s party time 😆 lol
This is a great idea! It's been a few years since we've had goats I know this grass isn't green and Lush like in springtime but do you think the goats should receive a CDT vaccine booster as a precaution to overeating disease? I am in the Northeast u.s., so I'm not familiar with the foliage in the south. I'm just thinking the goats had no grazing at all where they were, and now they have all they could want. I tend to be nervous Nellie... Thank you!
Terry...I live in NC and was curious about that as well...but l know Brooke & Jason are very proactive in regards to their animals...I would bet one or both have already researched. Hope you are well and warmest regards from Southern neighbor. 😊
Congratulations on a smooth move of the boys! I think they love the new place!!! You are coming along and I can only hope all the animals move to the 40 so easily! Great job
This is it. It is coming down to the finale and the New Cog Hill begins.
Joyful Day.Moving!
Wash hands with banking soda….and for clothes a little baking soda in the washer….to get the smell off….thank goodness it’s not all year ,just in the breeding time.
I wouldn't have even bothered cutting the grass, they're going to eat all that down eventually anyhow. They're not going to know what to do with all that grass, that may even cut down on your feeding costs. My grandfather kept a goat dairy, he had enough of a pasture and a small pond dug that he really didn't have to feed or water them much at all. He just gave them the good food when they came up to the milk barn, that way they'd always come up and be happy eating while they were being milked. One of my jobs as a little kid was to go through the goat pastures and pull up all the wild onions, since if they ate those it would flavor the milk. But I always had to watch his big mean buck, cause the minute you didn't have your eye on him he'd sneak up and buck you and knock you down.
I thought the same thing I wouldn’t worry about cutting the grass and they do have a lot to eat
Cleo (or anyone else who knows...) will it eventually look like the area they were in at the former place (no grass) ... It was fun seeing them them checking out their HUGE new area! 🐐🐐🐐
@@bearpawz_ it shouldn't ever get like their previous pen. Plus they have plans to rotate them to new pastures. I'm sure those will be put up at a later time. For now they are trying to get just what's needed to be able to move them.
@@BroqueCowgirlHomestead Oh, okay.. THANK you so much for that info!! It's exciting watching this big move. 🐐
@@bearpawz_ There's sort of a balance, in most small pens they will eventually eat the grass and the little nubs till the grass just gives up. But in a large enough area, they may graze one area, then move to another more lush area and the original area can recover. I know my grandfather had a fairly large goat pasture that always had grass, but he would sell off older goats if the pasture was being over-grazed. He said if it was below their knees it was too short, but if it was higher than their stomachs it was too tall. Sometimes goat farmers will fence of a couple of different areas and you let them graze one field for a while, then move them to another with taller grass. If you rotate them over different fields over the year it cuts down on parasites too. But if you can keep the grass going that can be over half their diet.
Welcome home boys! They will love all of that space! Thank you Jason, Brooke and MaryCarl for taking the time to bring all of us along during the busiest time of the big move, moving all the critters. 💖
Yes I agree,,,thanks to the ''Smith family and crew...
It’s a bit emotional watching this transition. I know they will have plenty to explore. 😊❤️🇨🇦 Everything has become so real now that the animals are on the move! This move went very well! 👍
So excited to see you guys from Ontario Canada
The animals are going to really love their new homes as u all will, love to u Brooke and Mary Carl have a great day
Great job moving the boys. That went pretty well and they seemed to really enjoy eating all the grass.
Now just need thier climbing toys and they will be all at home.
When you get settled on the 40, maybe put a scratching post in each goat pen to keep the fence safe?
This is so exciting!!! It’s funny now when I see you Jason without your glasses on I say to myself “Ut Oh where’s his glasses?” 😅 then the tape measure shows up outta the blue 🤣
The tape measure cracked me up! Gee I wonder who lost that! ❤️❤️❤️
I'm sure Brooke was chuckling inside and saying,"you see people what I'm talking about!"
I have tears of joy for you guys!! So exciting to see things coming together. Just love your family and the videos!! Can't wait for the next one!!
Hello and GOOD MORNING from Coastal Georgia!!! Can’t wait to see this!!!
Good Morning!
@@CogHillFarm Best video EVER!!!!!
Hey I missed you and cannot wait to see what you do at the Cog Hill 40. THANK YOU.
I love how all the boys are staying close to you all. They feel safe with you all. Y’all are the only thing familiar to them so they are staying close.
Yes! That is very precious! ❤️
I think the ducks will be the hardest to load up. Toppers going to be half green from the newly cut grass 🤗.
Well, that went well, I'm looking forward to seeing u loading the chickens.
The peacocks and emu are going to be the challenge. Chickens can get caught at night when they can't really see.
That went pretty smoothly. With one of the girls being in heat, and the bucks all wound up from that, I expected there to be more commotion.
I can't believe Jason got in the truck without changing his shirt first. That's where most of the smell would have been from wrangling Joe. Gonna need a BUNCH of air freshener trees in the truck.
Good job on the move. Now for the rest.
That's why they call them "work trucks "...you use them to get the dirty stuff done. Ya roll down the windows going back and forth between farms and that truck will air out in no time.
Pine sol or lestoil,,,key products. !
Happy boys there! They’re going to love it.
This was so exciting watching them exiting into their field. Their look of confusion and yet awe brought a tear. They are going to be so happy. They were sure enjoying the grass. Great job moving. It appears all went well. Now it is time to bring home the girls.
Well done, that wasn’t so hard. I think the peeing and head rubbing of the pole is a male goat’s way of marking their territory. They’re home!
Well that went pretty good its
almost done ya'll then you can relax a spell before the next job . Its wonderful seeing the chicken master I missed her lots of love to ya'll 😘😘😘💖💖💖💖
The boys don't know what to do with all that space! 😁
As soon as I saw your notification, I immediately stopped watching what I was watching. 😂
I am so excited for you all!
Yey been waiting
Good morning Cog Hill Family !
Morning!
Did you know that you can't let them eat cut grass that's been laying out fermenting? They are not used to fresh grass either. They need to be introduced to it slowly. I hope they don't get sick.
that is what I was thinking too
Might be a good idea to put out some baking soda for the goats to be able to eat just in case they have any potential bloat issues with all of the grass being added to their diet. I can't think of any other suggestions to give. I think all the animals are going to love the new place. Congratulations guys, I'm so happy for you all.
I thought about all that bloat as well. Don't they have a shot you can give goats for that change of diet like that?
could you hear me laughing from New Zealand when you wrapped your arms around Joe - that special smell will stick for days
Moving animals!! Been waiting for this to come .. 🙏🏽 All gets moved safely to their new home ..
Please hurry and show more !!!!! Please !!!! I’m so excited !!!!!!
I can’t believe it’s finally happening! Woohoo! Off to the new home 🏡❤️
I hope all this rain doesn't put more anxiety on you moving experience. I love that you are sharing you move with us and feel like I'm moving with you. I think Mary Carl is keeping both of your steps levels low, with her big smile and laughter. She is glowing from the excitement of this move.
What a wonderful day for the boys, all that land and grass. They will be so happy 😊. Can't wait to see Nugget and Peaches at the CHF2
Woot Woot, been waiting!
Well the first big animal move is over and in no time you will be settling in. All the boys need now are their toys. I am nervous for you but really happy too. Be safe and can’t wait to see the girls move next. ❤️
Seemed to go pretty smooth. Hoping it all goes that well. Update us on how their first night went! I’m so excited for you all!
Watching your male goats graze for the first time should make all the frustration stress worry and hard work worth the effort. They certainly seemed pleased with the large pasture. Congratulations on the start of your new adventure.
So exciting! I can’t wait to see all of the arrival on the 40! An you all too! Be blessed ❤️💜❤️
Oh my gosh, what a sweet sweet transition. It’s really happening
Jason, you all add so much joy to my day. I saw the article in Farmhouse Style magazine featuring Cog Hill Farm. It's great! I am as proud as if you were my younguns!!
Congratulations on a job well done.
Outstanding !!! Can't wait to see more animals on the 40.
Good Morning from Southern Indiana! I’ve been following for a long time and decided that it was time to say hi! I am an old retired guy who watches a lot of UA-cam and you guys are one of my favorites! It is really getting interesting now that you have started to move the animals! Always anxious to see your next video! Thanks for sharing! Good Luck in getting everybody and everything moved! God Bless!
morning,my new family. I LOVE seeing all of you. and Marycarl girl you have grown so much in the two years ive been watching .
Aw it went really well. Does anyone else not want the vlog to end. I love the relationship you all have with each other and with the animals.
Someone needs to make a soap that is just for removing buck stink. Stink off or something lol. I loved seeing the boys in their big ole space with all that grass and lots of space to run and play ! I feel so happy for them.
Topper is my favorite. They are all beautiful, topper is just a handsome young man. God bless ya'll.
I wonder why the thumbs down? This was great. Went very smooth. Can’t wait for the next update. I check multiple times a day to see if you have had time to upload anything new.
"Some people just ain't right" as my Mamaw would say! Lol! They probably hit it by accident and don't know they can change it by hitting it again. Don't worry. In UA-cam algorithms...up or down votes are the same. It shows activity and they help push the video for views. Its a way everyone can help the channel that is free.
You guys are getting it done and soon everyone will be on the 40 so excited for you & all the animals👍
The color of the metal reflects the heat off, it would be good for you to use this on your house it would save a lot of energy.
You all are great for taking care and time to move your goats and not just herded. Excellent job!!
Mary Carl's little giggle as Jason had to pick up Joe getting him in the trailer 😂❤️ Such a cutie!! I am so excited for the Cog hill gang!
It’s very impressive how Brooke maneuvers the truck & trailer!🙌🏻
The animals have a beautiful & spacious new home!☀️ 💗
Oh that smell - it take more than soap and water to get right of it. Oh that was so much to watch - they are going to love, love, love their new digs.
Dawn cuts the oil.
Dawn to shower in and pine sol for washing machine
Couldn’t help but laugh when you were loading the goats. Enjoyed that laugh. Lol
Me too.just live this family.
I like the pasture but keep an eye on the goats because if they are not used to eating grass they can have some very bad digestive issues.
Fantastic! This is the stress part but everyone will be good. This is the beginning of a new era. Soooo exciting.
Brooke begging to be let out 😂😂😂😂
How exciting! Finally getting the animals moved!!! I hope mom is happy!
Those boys stepped out of that trailer onto the 40 looking around like Doc getting out of the DeLorean! 😂 love it!
I'm so excited for yall moving to the 40..all the critters have lots of space ..cant wait to see Nugget running in his new habitat area, I'm excited for all the new adventures for all of you & us..God Bless & TY for sharing your lives. In these Videos..
Awe, I can't wait to see how they did overnight! Poor lil Tip he's got worse than a helicopter parent, friend, overlord... lol
Wow that went smoothly. I hope it all goes as smooth with the rest. Your doing a great job you guys are an amazing team. So much fun to watch y'all . Can't wait to see the rest of the babies in their new homes.
Hope you got that smell off !!! Glad things went pretty smooth
You all crack me up. MaryCarl was giggling so cute. What a wonderful new place for the boy's. God bless CogHill
Y’all are hilarious that’s why I love watching your channel God Bless all of you
I could sit and watch y'all all day, saying a special Pray for Peaches and Nugget.
Very entertaining and Mary Carl's laugh is the best. Thanks for the laugh 😂
It's finally happening . o by our final steps to a new beginning. I think they are going to be so happy. God bless you on your journey.
I haven't laughed this hard in a while! 🤣
Me, too!!! 😂🤣😅😂
“Seriously, I need to get out”
You guys are such a sweet couple.
I am so very happy for all of you, it's so exciting to see its finally here!
Can't wait to see the rest of the animals there. They are gonna love it. They are well behaved. You guys have done excellent with them...God bless.
I just love MaryCarl's laugh. Anxiously waiting until y'all get sitchiated.
Oh Brook you look so happy and proud on the new cog hill farm..
