in pokemon legends: arceus its heavily implied that the whole thing about drifloons stealing kids is just a rumor that started from a misunderstanding. basically a child kept running away from village to play together with a drifloon, and one night the drifloon didnt want to let the kid go home because they wanted to keep playing with the kid, and didnt understand that it was not appropriate behavior. adults in the villagers assumed that the drifloon was trying to capture the kid, even though the kid made it very clear that the drifloon had no ill intentions, and simply wanted to play all night.
Drifloons just like playing with children, maybe some of them try to take children away, but yeah maybe it is mostly just people not understanding this pokémon.
My favourite pokemon is Mimikyu, funnily enough specifically because of the pokedex entry that says it dresses up because it just wants people to like it. I've always incorporated the pokedex entries and lore into how I feel about pokemon lol but I love Drifloon. I like the funky little cry that Drifblim makes too.
I just got tired of every time I tell people I like Drifloon having them go "oh you mean that Pokemon who does all these bad things" when I think of it as a lil balloon cutie lol. That is fair though, Mimikyu's Pokedex entry is actually very relatable and cute :)
I also have a lot of empathy for inanimate objects, I call it spiritual animism, like personifying the rock you kick down the road, making sure It ends up with other rocks so it's not alone, but mostly it expresses in personifying stuffed toys and the like
I'm of the opinion that no matter the pokemon, they can be dangerous but also can be your best friend. (Let's not forget ash's Pikachu who spent a good chunk of the first episode shocking the poor kid) just a little love can go a long way and I think that's my favorite thing about pokemon. That potential of connection and the stories that can come from it.
i love this video because i personally have gone on multiple 15 to 20 minute rants explaining why hypno isnt a "child kidnapped" and is innocent from that one pokedex entry
Drifloon used to be one of my favorite pokemon when I was younger for sure. I never played a pokemon game until sword but before that I used to always watch videos about pokemon and drifloon was a pretty special one to me, partially because of its pokedex entry. And it still is to some extent because of those times. Also, didnt expect such good pixel art animation, you did great on it!
I'm a Mew fan boy! Mostly because of the first Pokemon movie. I adore his design but his carefree joyful personality is something I resonate with so much. He's my favorite little goofball and I wish to be as friendly and lovable as him!
i love the expressions and animations in this (especially the pixel part!!) my favorite pokémon is sableye, i love them because it's a common belief that they can steal a persons soul with their eyes and therefore most people in pokémon treat them poorly / avoid them, and that's so sad!! they're small, cute, funny and energetic. definitely under appreciated
omg yeah I had seen that sableye also had some of the “evil” pokédex entries. Poor little ghostie pokemon. I should make sure to get one next time I play!
I haven't played a pokemon game in years, but even still I watched this since I enjoyed your other videos so much, and I'm glad I did! You made this story entertaining, and your animation is so charming, I love the little Cy still talking in the thumbnail when you showed an open UA-cam page
I love specifically aloan Raichu because my favorite before them was pikachu, just because I was introduced to the franchise by the anime, and soon I saw that the explanation in sun and moon for Aloan Raichu’s differences was liking pancakes. I thought that was adorable and it made them my favorite Pokémon… I don’t even like pancakes XD
My favourite pokemon is Gyrados. Everyone thinks Magikarp is useless, and Gyrados dangerous and ill-tempered, but if you just take the time to get to know them, they're actually one of the best, most loving Pokemon ever. They might not be automatically cute, but for the trainers that are willing to put in the work, they're worth it. I was a Gen 1 player, and my Gyrados, along with my Charizard, were the cornerstones of my team every time. I always saved my Bubblebeam TM especially for Gyrados.
My favorite pokémon is Oddish. It was one of the first pokémon I captured and I loved it. It stayed in my team for the rest of the game, so I have a special love for it
I agree that the memories you have with a pokemon tend to be part of the reason why you like them. For example i’d always treated chimecho as some random throaway pokemon until i used it in this weird pokemon battle royale thing on a discord server (its hard to describe) at first I picked it because it had some good traits but since this was an event that took place over like 2 weeks and i was on vacation at the time visiting my home country, chimecho slowly started to grow on me and eventually became my fav pokemon of all time and I will not tolerate any chimecho slander, I even bought some clay and made a chimecho keychain which i now carry with me on my schoolbag, also when they hosted the event again I used clodsire and now I carry them with me on my bag too! I also recently got the idea of making a drifblim or drifloon keychain since I’ve always really liked them and i think this video has convinced me that I have to make a drifloon one. Also this video was fire, its always a good day when i find yet another underrated animator with awesome videos
Have you shiny or mark hunted with a drifloon or drifblim? They can stop wild pokémon fainting themselves with a right moveset. I started to like these two even more when I discovered this when playing Shield.
I really like this video! It's really calming and well edited! My favorite pokemon is probably Mismagius, it's spooky and it has a cool witch hat which makes it like so much cooler
Drifloon is also my favorite. It was my first daily event pokemon. I played Platinum and it was one of my two favorite pokemon in my first team. He and Machoke were so special to be because I loved leveling them up. And I LOVED seeing the overworld sprite.
Man I'm so excited. Congratulations on you first full-length animation. I would say that my special Pokémon would be Roserade. I liked how delicate yet deadly it was. If you didn't know the Pokémon entry used for Sword (I think) stated that Roserade lures prey with her sweet aroma from her flower hands, then paralyze them as they get close. This was sort of a shock to me but I strangely liked it more because of that. I've grown fond of Roserade over the last few games and iI still love it to this day. Again I'm so glad you were able to make your first animation I'll be rooting for you throughout your journey.
Thank you for patiently waiting for my animation to come out! I hope to improve a lot this year, and your support helps me do that! And Roserade is an excellent pick ✨
I love the Togepi evolution line. Soul Silver was my first Pokémon game, and I’ve always had very strong nurturing instincts. I cared for and watched my Togepi grow and evolve, and it was super fun and interesting! I also like Slowpoke, because when I was really little, my brother collected Pokémon cards and I begged and begged him to let me have one and he gave me Slowpoke and told me that he was the most powerful Pokémon of all because he is pink. I believed him for years.
Sorry for long time away reply, but Slowpokes evolutions are quite strong in singles. Also i did have a fun eviolite team with regenerative trick room teleport slowpoke. He and the buddies were doing well enough. But sometimes it was harder, not that my opponents or I were poké masters.
Petition to start the Drifloon Appreciation Club! I've only used a Drifloon twice to any real capacity. Once when I was racing my friend through Pokémon Diamond to see who could get the farthest in the game within a short amount of time, and the other in Legends Arceus, which I evolved into Drifblim and named Blustella before eventually keeping her in the box because I already had another very reliable Ghost Type on my team. Still, a very awesome Pokémon.
Drifloon and drifblim are nice pokémon I like. Tho drifloon is more cute, but both of them are good at mark and shiny hunting pokémon that may faint themselves.
This reminds me, my sister got employee of the month at her workplace and got a balloon. She offered it to me and then went outside and let go to try to sadden me, but I was able to get the balloon before it went away and had a balloon for awhile. I still have it, it just lost all the light gas in it.
Balloons drifting away definitely caused trauma to me as a child. I've always had more empathy for inanimate objects than living creatures. On a happier note, my favourite Pokémon is Mawile. It's duality and cuteness really align with me, and it's relative unpopularity for years made me feel like it was special. I feky weird about its Mega Evolution, but overjoyed at how strong it became.
Having empathy for inanimate objects is definitely an interesting thing. I can cry when my stapler falls. Mawile used to scare me when I was younger, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve really started to appreciate it more; it’s a great pick 💕
@@Cypopps Yeah, it might be a common neurodivergent thing. I always get upset and apologise profusely if I accidentally bump something. And when I was very small, my favourite was Magneton, which I still really love. I've always been drawn to non-humanoid, inorganic critters, and I love magnets and electricity.
My favorite Pokémon has to be Gardevoir even though the only Pokémon game I’ve actually played was Shield. Your video was definitely great though, including the pixel animation segment with Drifloon. I love to see where you go with this Cy.
My love towards vanillite came to me for one reason: I simply felt bad for it, it’s just a silly icicle that came to life because it didn’t want to melt but people hated it for being “lazy”. When we have Pokémon like klang.
My favourite Pokémon is an extremely specific one: Team Rocket’s Mimikyu. I was scrolling through UA-cam one day, and I found a clip of the Sun/Moon anime where Ash first meets Mimikyu. I wasn’t a fan of Pikachu at all because of how much I saw him in anything Pokémon related, so seeing Mimikyu try to beat him to a pulp on sight made me instantly like him. And seeing him willingly join Team Rocket just because they were Pikachu’s enemies was the icing on the cake. To this day, any time I add a Mimikyu to my team, I always name him/her “Anti-Pikachu”.
Glaceon is always my favourite. I can’t remember what game made me love her. But the awoo she makes and how I can only remember her carrying me through the elite four of some Pokémon game. Just got her in Pokémon sword and I’m so happy
Drifloon is also my favourite Pokemon. My blog header used to be "Balloons become stars when they die" because the thought of them drifting forever up the sky made me too sad lol
It's SUPER hard to pick a favorite, especially with how many there are now. But I'd have to say Sableye is up at the top for me. I first encountered them while playing Pokemon Colosseum. When it got hit, it would step back and do this little slappy motion like it was trying to get whatever hit it away from them. But once it recovered, it turned it's head forward, formed it's signature sharp, toothy smile, and waddled forward. It was so creepy and cute, and I fell in love with it immediately. Now, whenever I get one, I name it after Max from Sam and Max, because they've got that same smile (as well as being small and cute, but mischievous). Another favorite is Banette. I like the zippers, and it looks super cool. Plus it was my main with the contests in gen 3. That guy swept the floor with the other pokemon, especially in the smartness contests. I guess I end up liking a lot of ghost type designs. Also, I agree, Drifloon gets a bad rep over rumors. I think a lot of Pokedex entries are based off of rumors or inaccurate info. Someone's theory was that they were written by the children the professors get to fill out the Pokedexes. That's why there are weird descriptions like "Magcargo is hotter than the sun" or "A psychic kid woke up one day as a Kadabra". They make no sense, even in an alternate universe like the Pokemon world. I wonder what prompts the creators to write them?
One of the most wholesome stories i've heard in a time, i love this. Never played with drifloon but if i ever play diamond or pearl again they are going in the main rotation. Might even take them back home before the end 😀.
My favorite Pokémon is Weezing, mainly because of looks. Probably because I have asthma too 😆. I loved when the Galarian version was introduced with a cute top hat!
I found a shiny drifblim in Legends Arceus whe i was flying around and heard the sound. It was 13.1.2023. Tho Pokémon isnt translated to my language I can still name my pokémon with fun names that may mean something in my native language, I did same with the drifblim. He is lax nature and chilling in Pokémon Home now. I also do shiny and mark hunt with two marked drifloons I did catch in Shield. They are so cute and good at hunting for my favourite pokémon koffing. Because koffing knows memento and explosion as two of their last lv up moves.
This is kinda old, but I thought I would share anyway. I personally adore Chespin. I’m one who likes rooting for the underdogs. He’s just so cute and I love how he’s a little rascal in the anime. So glad I got him in Violet.
Not gonna give a long explanation but I love Zorua and Zoruark, mainly due to the games they come from and the story with N. I never got the special event so I had to wait till BW2 to actually get one legitimately that was not hacked or from a wifi trade
One of my favorites is Froslass, which is another Sinnoh Ghost. I’m not sure what liking her says about me, but I do like her design, origins, typing, and that she’s a fellow glass canon.
To me, Stuffl is the ultimate underdog Pokemon. Abandoned as an unwanted toy, I wanted to do what I could for the first one I caught. Bewear is cool, but I kept Stuffl in his pre-evolution form. I ended up beating Pokemon Sun's Elite 4 with him as the party head, and no other Pokemon ever entering battle. I believe his level was somewhere in the range of 60 and his moveset consisted of Superpower, Double Edge, Ice Punch, and Thunder Punch.
For me, Haunter will always be favourite Pokemon without a doubt. From it's cool and charming design to its speed that got me out of tricky situations, Haunter has remaneded my favourite Pokemon for all these years. It's a shame that its overshadowed by its evo Gengar and I wish it got more attention.
My favorite from Pokémon Pearl was Drifloon, too! But I took the pokédex entry in stride and had her as my best friend anyway lol We spent forever in that area where you can walk around with a cute pokémon and explore these abandoned structures. Such a weird combo, right?
i have 3 pokemon that i really love froakie gyarados and gengar gengar is a perfect mixture of cute cool badass silly and a bit of edge froakie is just cute and he evolves to greeninja one of the coolest pokemons ever design and theme wise gyarados is just very badass considering that he came from the weakest pokemon to be one of the strongest it's a very cool underdog story if you stick to the flacid fish and insist on leveling him up for his true potential you will be rewarded with an amazing guardian
I love drifloon and also valley windworks because I used to get stuck there and through floaroma town because I couldn't beat mars as a kid, but for that same reason I have a huge love for buizel and grotle because they were massive contributors to that fight, I basically overlevelled my grotle while I got buizel to take out the zubat and saved grotle for the purugly, I also used that grotle into torterra and trained it in the elite 4 until it was level 97 when my game broke, I lost him but at least I have fond memories of him, floatzel was one of my first shinies I have ever gotten which was really cool for me
One of my favorite Pokémon is Bewear and I can’t stop thinking about that one Pokédex entry that says it can accidentally kill its trainer by hugging them too hard and breaking there spine. I’m not sure whether that makes me love them more or less…😅I also really like Mimikyu and that’s another Pokémon that has some creepy Pokédex entries. I’m pretty sure my love for these two came from watching the Pokémon sun and moon anime and then when I got Pokémon shield I went hunting for them. (It’s been a couple days of setting the date to June 1st and still haven’t gotten a Mimikyu 😔). By the way! There is this one Pokédex entry that says drifloon tries to drag children away but usually ends up being the one getting dragged around and I find that adorable. Lil baby ghost type tryna be scary and failing 🥺💕
My favorite pokemon is Gengar. They're just a purple spooky fella! Their comical grin is funny to me and I love that they enjoy scaring other people and pokemon.
Gengar is really cute. Now I’m thinking like… if they were real, and I saw them, I’d jump out of my own skin 😆 they’re super cool in the game though! I love them ^_^
my favorite is corsola! They're the perfect amount of cuteness.... but seeing realistic depictions of them, like in Pokemon Snap, made me realize they have no knees, which makes me sad :( I'm sure seeing them wobbling back and forth would please other people, but it just reminds me of how easily Mareanie must catch them :((
I had Platinum and if I remember correctly you could only get drifloon after 6pm on a friday or something dumb like that so I also likened it to a legendary. Also not sure if this was made before or after your IG post about facial expressions in your animations but the expressions were on point here!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that! I thought he was one of the tiny lil legendaries like Celebi / Mew / Shaymin. And this is from before my expression work! The next video on this channel is from before it as well. It’ll take me a while to update the model. Hopefully in the next few months :)
A great video defending a pokémon that seems to only be remembered for its creepy dex entry, which most people probably don’t read. It is very cute & future depictions have shown it is mostly kind, helpful & cute. My favorite is a tie between Flygon and Giratina. I love dragon types & their lore, plus Giratina was the first pokémon to actually defeat a villain before you do. And Flygon was robbed of a mega, it needs help for battles. Maybe an ability change or stat boost.
Aaa yeah I have no idea what to do with audio stuff!! If you know any tips, or can tell me where in the video you notice the cracks, I will be sure to work on it!
Im really late to this video but I only just found your channel so apologies for the 2 month late comment, but thats actually such a sweet story and after hearing the pokedex entries I was a bit creeped out when I was a kid - but I appreciate you showing driftloon in a new way! I was definitely too quick to judge lol. Also as a side note I'd definitely say my favourite pokemon is jolteon, they're really cool!!
Amazing job with this! I never got to play Pokemon as a kid since my mother didn't allow me and my siblings to play it because they're "Pocket monsters" so they were evil and from the devil. Also because it was anime. (She's less apprehensive about anime now at least as long as it's PG enough) It however didn't keep me from observing from afar and being slightly fascinated. I don't know much about Pokemon myself, but I want to learn once I have the time to buy one of the games and sit down and play it.
My favorite pokémon is Mimikyu. It's just like a cute lil' dedicated Pikachu cosplayer. And the poor thing only wants love and affection and can't help that its true form kills people from shock and horror. In some ways, I relate to Mimikyu. Wanting to connect with people, but struggle to do so. I will say, Hattrem is starting to give Mimikyu a run for its money as my favorite pokémon, though. Hattrem is basically my personality as a pokémon + being a living vibe check. I love them both equally. Both Hattrem and Mimikyu are also absolutely adorable to me
My favorites are Xatu, Giratina, Mimikyu, Darkrai, and Absol. I guess with Xatu what that says about me is that I'm obsessed with my past and my potential future, even though I can't see either of them particularly clearly. What favoriting Giratina says about me is that I'm obsessed with order (and tbh I kind of am) and could probably get REALLY destructive if I ever unleashed my anger at the world in full. What favoriting Mimikyu says about me is that I can get very cranky (to be fair favoriting Giratina also says this about me, that cranky Dracolich LMAO!!), that I at least used to be able to bend my body pretty thoroughly, and that I'm willing to (rather poorly IRL, and it doesn't last long online) disguise my worst and/or "more annoying" traits to avoid conflict or make friends. What Darkrai says about me is likely that I Do Not Like my space being violated, that if I have any dreams I remember they're probably nightmares, that I prefer to stay away from other people IRL, and that I probably watch too many shows where I love my world-destroying villains LOL!! And what Absol says about me is that no matter how majestic I may or may not look to myself or other people, my communication skills are so absurdly poor that they're absolutely disastrous XDDD!!
I just found this channel and I really like this content and my favorite pokemon is Mimikyu but I also love Zorua just as much, both a little bit dark pokemon but I still like them
My favorite is Mewtwo, because I'm a sucker for characters with a tragic backstory, or have something else that make it difficult for them in life. Like Darkrai with its uncontrollable ability to cause nightmares to those around it, or Mimikyu who's true appearance is so horrific that people die when they see it.
Even as a kid, my favorite Pokémon actually was a legendary: Ho-Oh! Its design was very unique for a bird, it can make rainbows simply by flying, AND it breathed FIRE! So, as nice as the other legendaries are, Ho-Oh will forever be my favorite😄
that is a valid opinion, my favourite is mimikyu, I just wish I could cuddle it because it deserves love (also the fact it's actual eyes are in the torso implies it's smaller that want the sprite shows and that makes me love it more, I wanna dress one up in cute outfits and repair it's Pikachu outfit if it got damaged and let it wear something else while I fix it, like how Jessie gave hers a paper bag, I would treat it like a human child. also if balloons in the pokemon universe look like drifloon, i'd buy it one)
I have that inanimate object empathy too. Complete with the sadness seeing a balloon float away. It's really bad because it took me so long to learn to throw things away.
Love this! I spent a good part of my childhood feeling like inanimate objects had feelings. I wonder if that is common for people on the spectrum- I bet it is ❤️ Also, I’m going to show this to my daughter- Drifloon is her favorite, too! Corsola is my Drifloon 😉
Did you know the drifloon line is one of the only Pokémon one could recreate in real life? All you need is a purple balloon, some yellow tape, thread, and a black sharpie boom Pokémon
Just when you said that place was for you nostalgic, i remembered the first village if Minecraft I've been in... Now mice on Venus but EXTRA nostalgic is playing in my head
My favorite Pokémon is Pyukumuku, because it doesn’t need to attack an opponent to beat them, and because it can easily survive almost any hit. It’s a tanky little guy, and it doesn’t care what you do to try and take it down lol. It just keeps sitting there, tiny, yet unfazed.
I love drifloon its cute :3 but gengar is my favorite :) I love how playful it is and it just make me smile and happy and it looks big and soft :3 I also find the design very apealing in general and made plushies with it before :3
My favourite pokemon is gengar, i love it because it just looks like a cute big purple guy, i love how its portrayed in the anime too, its just a funny ghost who loves to prank people, however ive seen some people take its pokedex entries way seriously than they should and think its a bad pokemon because it "steals people's souls", but honestly, pokedex entries are always messed up and dont make sense, especially since in the pokemon moon entry it says that it appereantly wishes for a traveling companion since it was once human itself. I just dont think people should take these entries too seriously lmao.
I also treat innanimate objects as they have feelings, like I've always keeped the gifted Pokémons in my team no matter what as for my favorite Pokémon is Lucario mainly because it has one of the coolest designs ever
My favorite Pokemon is Tyranitar, because I haven't given that much thought about what Pokemon I like since I was in middle school. ...having given it a bit more thought, I might be able to think of some competitors. Ferrothorn is effective, Raltz is cute, and Grapploct and Malamar are neat. But it's harder to pick "a favorite" without defining additional parameters.
My favorite pokemon is Lucario, (Yes I do realize its popularity), but the reason why was due to my young viewing of a youtuber called TheAuraGuardian who's mascot was a Lucario. This was my reason up until I replayed Pokemon X and used the Mega Lucario given to you, ever since then I would always check if I could find Riolu early in any Pokémon game I played just so I could use Lucario again.
Oh yeah, this is my kind of video (Pokémon is my main special interest)! To answer the question, my favorite Pokémon is also from the Sinnoh region (which is my favorite region btw). That Pokémon is Infernape! I always loved its design, and Chimchar's story arc in the anime is one of the best I've ever seen for a Pokémon in terms of character development and relatability (even though I was unaware of the unfortunate relatability at the time, but there was always a voice in the back of my head telling me that Chimchar was somehow similar to me, even though my kid brain (I was only like, 10 at the time) didn't have the mental capacity to understand exactly why at the time). Ash vs Paul at the Sinnoh League will forever be my favorite battle in the entire anime because of how awesome it felt to see Infernape finally beat its former Trainer! Even as a 10 year old kid who didn't understand why I related to Infernape, it still felt like a weight lifted off my own shoulders as I watched Paul's Electivire finally go down after the heavy tension during the stare-down after the final attacks. I now understand why I related to Infernape so much, making rewatching its story arc a bit more difficult but the end result of its arc much more satisfying. I also love using Infernape (and the Chimchar line in general) in the games as well, it's super fun to use and suits my play style extremely well! Definitely my favorite of the Fire/Fighting starters and I don't think it'll ever be dethroned from its spot as my favorite Pokémon of all-time!
Hypno is the scaryer. Driftloon get's draged around by those it try's to kidnap, where as Hypno is the pokemon equivlent of a guy in a white van with "free candy" spray-painted on the side!
in pokemon legends: arceus its heavily implied that the whole thing about drifloons stealing kids is just a rumor that started from a misunderstanding. basically a child kept running away from village to play together with a drifloon, and one night the drifloon didnt want to let the kid go home because they wanted to keep playing with the kid, and didnt understand that it was not appropriate behavior. adults in the villagers assumed that the drifloon was trying to capture the kid, even though the kid made it very clear that the drifloon had no ill intentions, and simply wanted to play all night.
OH MY GOD I LOVE THAT! ITS ACTUALLY SO CUTE & WHOLESOME :D
make sense most pokemon don't understand or forget how easy freaked out people can be
certified undertale asriel moment
nah I prefer the whole 'Driftloon attempts kidnapping but is too weak to do anything'
That is fair though, Mimikyu's Pokedex entry is actually very relatable and cute :)
me too honestly. I just adore mimkyu because those tiny eyes in the costumes torso implies it's actually much tinier and I just wanna cuddle it
I also love Mimikyu but I think Yamask might be my favourite
is that your way of saying that you're a crossdresser
FELLOW MIMIKYU ENJOYER
I also have a lot of empathy for inanimate objects, I call it spiritual animism, like personifying the rock you kick down the road, making sure It ends up with other rocks so it's not alone, but mostly it expresses in personifying stuffed toys and the like
That thing with taking drifloon back everyday was really sweet to me
I'm of the opinion that no matter the pokemon, they can be dangerous but also can be your best friend. (Let's not forget ash's Pikachu who spent a good chunk of the first episode shocking the poor kid) just a little love can go a long way and I think that's my favorite thing about pokemon. That potential of connection and the stories that can come from it.
aww yes so true :> good point!
This story's relatable af, hearing your memories about first meeting with Drifloon was honestly touching! 🎈
i love this video because i personally have gone on multiple 15 to 20 minute rants explaining why hypno isnt a "child kidnapped" and is innocent from that one pokedex entry
Marshadow is a great one for me.
Not only because he can control other pokemons, but because he is a ghastly, grim and ancient boi.
Drifloon used to be one of my favorite pokemon when I was younger for sure. I never played a pokemon game until sword but before that I used to always watch videos about pokemon and drifloon was a pretty special one to me, partially because of its pokedex entry. And it still is to some extent because of those times. Also, didnt expect such good pixel art animation, you did great on it!
tysm!!! :D
I should make sure to get one next time I play!
oh also tysm for liking my video!! 💕
Sableye is also my favourite Pokemon!
A masterful essay on how autistic people can actually have a great deal of empathy and also why the balloon is cool I guess
Tysm! Yep I have a lot of empathy for inanimate things. Like when my stapler breaks, it feels like a friend is hurt!
I haven't played a pokemon game in years, but even still I watched this since I enjoyed your other videos so much, and I'm glad I did! You made this story entertaining, and your animation is so charming, I love the little Cy still talking in the thumbnail when you showed an open UA-cam page
aw ty!! ❤️ ❤️ i’m glad you appreciated the details :>
I started to like these two even more when I discovered this when playing Shield.
imagining a chaotic good drifloon who steals away kids in abusive homes to raise them in a nurturing environment
I really like this video! It's really calming and well edited! My favorite pokemon is probably Mismagius, it's spooky and it has a cool witch hat which makes it like so much cooler
Aw tysm!! I really appreciate hearing that bc i am still sort of a beginner :> and Mismagius is awesome!! 💜
Drifloon is also my favorite. It was my first daily event pokemon. I played Platinum and it was one of my two favorite pokemon in my first team. He and Machoke were so special to be because I loved leveling them up. And I LOVED seeing the overworld sprite.
This video was amazing!!! Also the description of the soul bursting out from Pokémon moon is crazy
tysm!!! And yes that was horrifying to read lol 😵💫
And Roserade is an excellent pick ✨
my first pokemon game was diamond and i had roserade
Drifloon is amazing oh my god I love this saga this is amazing
I love a lot of Pokemon so it's hard to pick a favorite but I really like vaporeon, absol, espurr, delcatty and noivern
That is a club I would join!! 🎈
Such a cute story! Leafeon, because I like nature and the leaf ears are adorable. It also has great defense and I like that over strong offense.
Aw Leafeon is great! I remember having to evolve them at that mossy rock place 🪨
The pixelated art is so cuuuute!!
Aw tysm!! I’m happy to hear that!
Aaaah this story is so cute
My favorite Pokémon has to be Gardevoir even though the only Pokémon game I’ve actually played was Shield. Your video was definitely great though, including the pixel animation segment with Drifloon. I love to see where you go with this Cy.
Thank you for all the support Storm!! I love the Gardevoir line, especially lil Ralts :)
My love towards vanillite came to me for one reason: I simply felt bad for it, it’s just a silly icicle that came to life because it didn’t want to melt but people hated it for being “lazy”. When we have Pokémon like klang.
I always felt empathy for inanimate objects too. My parents told me it was because I was autistic-
My favourite Pokémon is an extremely specific one: Team Rocket’s Mimikyu.
NOOO THATS SO SAD (but also poetic)
I love your videos :]
Drifloon is 100% underrated, got a shiny one recently in LoA and I will treasure that little yellow ballon forever 😁😁😁
OMG I am jealous! :0 Gold / Yellow drifloon is a cutie!
Yes, Drifloon has an amazing shiny! Congratulations!
Drifloon And Drifblim Are My 2nd Fav Pokemon As A Tie
This is kinda old, but I thought I would share anyway. I personally adore Chespin. I’m one who likes rooting for the underdogs. He’s just so cute and I love how he’s a little rascal in the anime. So glad I got him in Violet.
Chespin was my first Pokemon ever! Chespin is cute! Chespin is the best Starter! EVER!!!
@@nichtwirklichpaul FACTS
Stufful is so cute and has such a sad backstory!! I also think that’s the Pokémon with the little tag on their backside? I love their design as well!
This is a really good video dude. Enjoy the content alot.
thanks, that means a lot! i’m still a beginner!
I want to pat young you, you were so adorable, feeling bad cause you thought the pokemon would feel homesick is just very adorable to me
This is so wholesome. My favorite Pokemon is Hypno and I have a very similar relationship to him like you and Drifloon.
Such a cute story!!!
thanks!
My favorite from Pokémon Pearl was Drifloon, too! But I took the pokédex entry in stride and had her as my best friend anyway lol
We spent forever in that area where you can walk around with a cute pokémon and explore these abandoned structures.
Such a weird combo, right?
Drifloon buddies!! Your Drifloon sounds like she had an amazing time with you :) 🎈
My favourite part must be the detailed pixelart part! Drifloon does look very cute!
Aw tysm!! I appreciate it Sami!
i have 3 pokemon that i really love froakie gyarados and gengar
gengar is a perfect mixture of cute cool badass silly and a bit of edge
froakie is just cute and he evolves to greeninja one of the coolest pokemons ever design and theme wise
gyarados is just very badass considering that he came from the weakest pokemon to be one of the strongest it's a very cool underdog story if you stick to the flacid fish and insist on leveling him up for his true potential you will be rewarded with an amazing guardian
I love drifloon and also valley windworks because I used to get stuck there and through floaroma town because I couldn't beat mars as a kid, but for that same reason I have a huge love for buizel and grotle because they were massive contributors to that fight, I basically overlevelled my grotle while I got buizel to take out the zubat and saved grotle for the purugly, I also used that grotle into torterra and trained it in the elite 4 until it was level 97 when my game broke, I lost him but at least I have fond memories of him, floatzel was one of my first shinies I have ever gotten which was really cool for me
I love how you started with garchomp and hit the nail on the head 🤣 love garchomp!
I’ve met some Garchomp fans haha!
@@Cypopps Fair lol
I do not care about the morality of Drifloon's actions. He is adorable, and that is all that matters.
They're the perfect amount of cuteness.... but seeing realistic depictions of them, like in Pokemon Snap, made me realize they have no knees, which makes me sad :(
I'm sure seeing them wobbling back and forth would please other people, but it just reminds me of how easily Mareanie must catch them :((
I had Platinum and if I remember correctly you could only get drifloon after 6pm on a friday or something dumb like that so I also likened it to a legendary.
Maybe an ability change or stat boost.
this was a great video! awesome animation, and the voice reading was great and engaging as well
Thank you so much! It's very kind of you to leave a comment to me, I really appreciate it as a beginner animator!!
Not sure if it was noticed, but I hear a crack during your dialogue in the video. Little mixing goes a long way, and I'm excited to see more!
Also as a side note I'd definitely say my favourite pokemon is jolteon, they're really cool!!
ooo I’m glad you found my channel! I appreciate you being here :D how did you find me btw?
@@Cypopps Thank you! Also I found your channel after following you on instagram, after one of your autism awareness month posts :)
@@Alex-rx7nd Oh cool! Ty for letting me know :D
@@Cypopps No problem!
Oh yeah you should! The games are fun :>
My favorite Pokémon is wobbuffet it just seemed like I needed a friend and a partner to have fun with
My favourite is the Clefairy line because of the Mt. Moon episode being my favorite episode.
Both Hattrem and Mimikyu are also absolutely adorable to me
Yes!! Another drifloon fan!
Awesome, mines dragonite
Like Darkrai with its uncontrollable ability to cause nightmares to those around it, or Mimikyu who's true appearance is so horrific that people die when they see it.
my parents never let me play pokemon as a kid, but i relate a lot to having a lot of empathy for inanimate objects
Inanimate objects deserve love!
I have so many favourites tbh but Drifloon is easily one of them and is on my team in Diamond and Platinum.
Such a cute lil' spooper! 🥰🥰😍😍🥰🥰
I really like Squirtle myself, Drifloon's cool too
I have that inanimate object empathy too.
FINALLY! I found another Drifloon lover! This is my fav too!
Drifloon is so cute! My favorite Pokémon is the Alolan Vulpix, with Sylveon in second.
Did you know the drifloon line is one of the only Pokémon one could recreate in real life?
All you need is a purple balloon, some yellow tape, thread, and a black sharpie boom Pokémon
Lovely video. My favourite is Bulbasaur. I was a kid whenn the original 150 were first released.
Just when you said that place was for you nostalgic, i remembered the first village if Minecraft I've been in... Now mice on Venus but EXTRA nostalgic is playing in my head
Virtual places can be nostalgic, and I think that’s really neat!
I love drifloon its cute :3 but gengar is my favorite :)
I love how playful it is and it just make me smile and happy and it looks big and soft :3
I also find the design very apealing in general and made plushies with it before :3
My favourite pokemon is gengar, i love it because it just looks like a cute big purple guy, i love how its portrayed in the anime too, its just a funny ghost who loves to prank people, however ive seen some people take its pokedex entries way seriously than they should and think its a bad pokemon because it "steals people's souls", but honestly, pokedex entries are always messed up and dont make sense, especially since in the pokemon moon entry it says that it appereantly wishes for a traveling companion since it was once human itself. I just dont think people should take these entries too seriously lmao.
I also treat innanimate objects as they have feelings, like I've always keeped the gifted Pokémons in my team no matter what as for my favorite Pokémon is Lucario mainly because it has one of the coolest designs ever
I love that everyone who plays Pokémon plays it a different way like that! I remember watching the Lucario movie, good times!
Incinaroar because sun and moon were the first Pokémon games I beat and I used an incinaroar
Also in Shining Pearl it says that it tries to drag kids away but, being a ballon, it’s not strong enough and it gets dragged around instead.
What's a cute round and fluffy Pokemon? That's my favourite.
BEST POKEMON:CHILD KIDNAPPING BIOLOGICAL BALOON
Hypno is the scaryer.
Driftloon get's draged around by those it try's to kidnap, where as Hypno is the pokemon equivlent of a guy in a white van with "free candy" spray-painted on the side!
Omg yes drifloon is adorable!!!
Drifloon is so underrated I feel!
My favorite Pokemon is Dunsparce. Once upon a Time, i decided too look for one in White2 and it ended up being the MVP of multiple battles.
