I love this video it helped me in my school work
I really appreciate my Irish table linens like I never had before.
Thanks for the comment Thomas
Fascinating.

Thank God for modern technology.
Bullshit*
I think the opposite is the case. Modern technology has reduced and in many cases totally eliminated the need for rural communities to come together. That has created negative knock-on effects for people's mental and physical health. These kind of activities were an opportunity to have a laugh together, help each other out, and to make people feel part of their local community, not to mention the kids clearly had fun too, being out in the fresh air, instead of hanging on their phones.
Wonderful!
I so enjoyed your video!
Thank you for posting it...

Thanks for the positive feedback, glad you are enjoying our videos
Thank you for this video. My grandparents grew flax - during WWII there was a requirement for farmers in Northern Ireland to grow a certain amount of flax. I don’t know if this applied only to farms in particular areas or to farms over a certain size. My mother and her sisters made the rush bands for tying up the flax. The smell of the retting dam was disgusting, she said! But she loved the blue flowers in the fields.
Would love to see the processing all the way through to cloth.
Great video- thanks for posting!
Thank you!
I hope these traditions never pass away
Alas, we’re too late. It’s all but gone now.
