Did you come here after Hou won the 2019 China National Championships? For some reason, Hou was completely under the radar for me. I've watched his matches the last few days. He could really hang with the best.
Watched a lot of Hou Yingchou's games but never realised how much crazy sidespin he generates until I watched it from this angle. Timo is truly amazing he was playing it with ease.
I feel like Hou's style is between Joo Se Hyuk and Koji Matsushita, but with crazy side spin added. Very tough to play against this style, event if you have master your own attacking game. Great match!
They both lost clearly to Hou in the Chinese championships I think 2020 or so. They both lacked a good game against Hous chopping, looping and sidespin.

i missed out also all these years. He is one smart and creative player, and with some hilarious facial expressions.
Timo Boll has some of the best sportsmanship I've ever seen in table tennis players. He's truly admirable.
