- Join me on a 4K walking tour of the beautiful town of Cadaques on Spain's Costa Brava. I walk along the town's seafront, passing beaches such as Platja Port d'Alguer and Platja Gran.
I also wandered into the historic area of town to the church of Santa Maria de Cadaqués, which has stunning views over Cadaques and its coastline.

CADAQUES
Cadaqués is a coastal town located in the Alt Empordà comarca, in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. Situated on the eastern side of the Cap de Creus peninsula, it is one of the most easterly towns on the Iberian Peninsula.
The town faces the Mediterranean Sea and is approximately 30 kilometres from the French border, making it easily accessible to visitors from Spain and France.
Cadaqués is famous for its breathtaking natural landscapes, featuring rocky cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and unspoiled beaches. The town is also known for its whitewashed buildings, narrow winding streets, and traditional Mediterranean architecture.
This picturesque setting has attracted artists for decades, most notably Salvador Dalí, who spent much of his childhood in Cadaqués and later had a home in nearby Portlligat. The Dalí House-Museum in Portlligat is a major draw for visitors, offering insight into the artist's life and work.
Cadaqués has a mild Mediterranean climate, typical of the Costa Brava, with hot summers and mild winters, making it a pleasant destination year-round.
The local cuisine is a highlight, strongly emphasizing fresh seafood and traditional Catalan dishes. Numerous restaurants and cafes line the waterfront, providing scenic dining options.
The town's small size and remote location contribute to its relaxed atmosphere. It has a population of around 2,800 residents, which swells during the tourist season. Despite its popularity, Cadaqués has retained its charm and authenticity, avoiding the overdevelopment seen in other coastal areas.
