This is Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. He wrote 19 of them.

Man, you ain't heard this tune before? You don't watch Tom and Jerry cartoons? This song is famous. One of the hardest tunes to play on the piano. Val is a monster! One of the greatest concert pianists in the world! She eats Liszt for breakfast!

I love the parts when he is like, "that's hard". he has no idea how hard it is. It's hard

you should react to all transcendental etudes from liszt. There he displayed the hardest piano techniques and great lyrical pictures. Every etude has a story, for example the last and 12th piece has the name „chasse neige“ which means snowstorm and that is pure pure art because he creates a visual image of a very beautiful but later heavy heavy tragic snowstorm which buries people and landscape. This transcendental set represents liszts absolute virtuosity and is a must for a musical intellectual like you. I enjoyed your thoughts and feelings and your reaction on this rhapsody very much. You should really react to more romantic piano music :) And especially liszt, because its not subjective to say that he mastered the virtuosity of piano composition and play

Wasn't anywhere near this good, but I played this piece in one of my last piano recitals. Absolutely loved this one. Wish I still played.

I was enjoying my old favourite Zappa songs, but the cat came to life for Liszt, I have to defer to his ears. What a great channel, can't wait to get to your videos. Thanks for your commentary.

Good Morning from Poland... You're such an expert on pianism as I am the violinist you pretend to be ! If you want to comment on the playing of this brilliant pianist, at least learn to pronounce her famous name: Lisica !

Just love when you refer to the greatest pianist of the 21 century as " Valentina something... I'm sure she's pretty good", yeah no shit she is. Go watch her third movement of Beethoven 27 , just to make sure. With over 60 million views it may as well be one of the most viewed piano videos on UA-cam, and surely the greatest ever performance of that particular piece❤

The piece was written with a LOT of dynamics (all the way from ppp to fff from what I recall). Her execution of it is the BEST I've seen on YT. Also the Tom & Jerry cartoon version of this song is AMAZING! Especially the cover that Yannie Tan does of it!

i agree. i dislike most of lisitsa's interpretations, but her HR2 is my favorite by far out of any performer.
