Angelina is very Great Beautiful Brillant Amazing unbelievable low Tone how Elvis the same key for this age 11years young!! I loved it❤❤❤ good reaction Maria 👍👌👏have a great Week 👌❤️✌️Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭😇👣👸🎷🎺🎸🎼👋🏻🙋♂️
Just a 12 year old deciding she's going to cover the Elvis version of an iconic song and then singing it in the same key and register that the King sang it in.
Angelina sings any genre, any style, any song, any tempo, any key she wants. And she does so perfectly. One can criticize all one wants but her voice is perfection always.
Angelina has a masters level capability to pay homage to the original song yet add small changes that enhance and reform it into a new version while still maintaining the key elements of the original.
Wonderful reaction WAIR. Angelina brings me to those happy tears. No matter how many times. Of course watching her and listening to her makes it even more crazy. The guitarist is Ivan Mendez, Angelinas guitarist after moving to LA when she was 12. They have close to 10 songs together. Three you have to see are California dreaming Stay And Million years ago 😊❤❤❤
Maria, no question this is the lowest register any of us have heard Angelina sing in. The song was recorded by Elvis Presley amongst others, and as a 13-year-old girl, she is singing in the same low register as Elvis! It would have been interesting to play a minute of eldest version before playing Angelina's. In fact you may want to go back and listen to Elvis version on your own. This is just another one of Angelina's voices, confirming the name, The barefoot princess of 1,000 voices. Great comments as always and we'll see you in the next one. Peace and love
Thank you for a wonderful reaction to Angelina's singing of this beautiful, truthful old hymn! Angelina's range is incredible, her tone is exquisite, and her Elvisesque vibrato is second to none!
Angelina demonstrating that by staying soft and low rather than going big and high you get even more expression, because she draws you in to her world, and you are feeling it with her. That second "Now sings my soul" is absolutely divine.
She holds this sustained low, low register far longer while singing than Elvis and that is insane. Females are not supposed to be able to do this and especially a girl this young. Also, she does it in effortless fashion.
Hi Maria 👋. Wonderful reaction to 12 Angelina. A 12 yr old girl singing this in the same key as Elvis all the way through, is amazing. It hard enough for professional female singers to get down to a B2-C3, but to maintain the same key through this song would be mind blowing 🤯 and she does it at 12. Back in Norway she used to sometimes sing at her church during Christmas shows etc. They would attend a nondenominational protestant belief based church (kind of like Jack Hibbs church). The family is very private about their beliefs but you can see they live what Jesus wants Christians to do and the is to reflect him. So we don't give out info of what church they go to etc. Again thank you for your wonderful reaction and God bless you Maria and your family 🙏 ✝️❤ 🙂👍. (PS Maria, will you please react to Laura Bretan's cover of "Adagio". She’s not well known outside her circle cause of her genre's but her voice and character are also amazing and she's also a Prodigy ❤.)
Thanks for another great reaction to & appreciation of another great performance by Angelina. I agree that Angelina's voice really shines through when only accompanied by a guitar. And what's truly amazing about this performance is that Angelina sang it in the same style - & key - as Elvis. Some of Angelina's other great acoustic performances include: Every time We Say Goodbye, California Dreaming, A Million Years Ago, Stay & Wake Me Up (Angelina's personal tribute to her friend Avicii). Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless Angelina Jordan.
Angelina was 12 or 13 here. But regardless of age, to reach a register THIS low is extremely impressive by ANY female singer. Also most male singers to be fair..LOL And she was able to sustain those low notes, without cracking up even the slightest. Great reaction! Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
True, you see the vocal technique used is of course a chest voice with a deeply lowered larynx. The only way for her to maintain that low of a tone is to consciously slow down her vibrato and lean into it. As she sings with an inverse vibrato anyway. The higher tone of a persons vibrato as the natural placement is the second fourth 6th so that the tone in the vibrato is lower, higher lower higher lower higher, she sings her vibrato inverse her darker tones are 2nd 4th 6th higher lower higher lower higher lower something you can be trained to do, though difficult, I believe I read hers is naturally inverse, which adds to her sound being so often described as 50's 60's because they did that a lot in that time period, anyway she slows the vibrato way down. Go back and listen its more like the beginning of tarzans yell than the end, and with her darker tone being second and slowed down she is able to keep her pitch just outside of breaking and keep it in elvis's key. That is a tremendous amount of cpaching and practice, to pay tribute to the king. I expect no less than the entire olympics worth of vocal gymnastics from the barefoot chameleon queen of music. I mean she is a female human being there are limits physically to what a human can do with the voice they are given, you cant play an f sharp on a b flat clarinet, but if there is a way, Angelina would find it. That is where I take issue with those who say this just flows out of her, that she just opens her mouth and thats what falls out. It is evident that she studies and practices incessantly to do what she does, and to say it is effortless bemoans that hard work. Singers however, in one of their few consistent acts of humility, find appearing effortless even though quite difficult to be the highest pf praise, so they will never tell pf those difficulties and long hours of practice and study. Ive no doubt that AJ will be taught as a graduate level course in music in decades to come. I could write a doctoral thesis (PhD paper) on this performance.
@@johnhurtme Thanks for the great comment. And I definitely agree that what we hear is the result of immense training, to the extent where it SOUNDS effortless. That being said, she was most definitely born with something extremely special, it just goes to show in her very earliest videos. The leap from age 5 to age 6 is crazy 😉
Maria, I enjoy your reactions to Angelina. The choices she makes for her arrangements and vocals are remarkable. Maria, I do hope you find a way, on each video, to encourage viewers to support both your channel and that of the artist, by watching the entire video (reaction and original), giving it a like and posting a comment. Sad but true, advertising works. I am a proud patreon for Angelina Jordan and for one other young artist (band), The Warning, who are 3 sisters from Mexico and now my favorite rock band. Here is a link to the first video I ever watched for one of their 40 or so originals "Survive". ua-cam.com/video/E62SVvLw9FI/v-deo.html
This is Angelina's first song that I did not like when I listened to it the first time. It is such an unusual arrangement (very low and very slow) that I really had to hear it a few times. And yes, it is so, so beautiful. But again: I had to give it a few chances.
She’s singing this in the key Elvis sang it, and she sounds the most like him during the chorus! I think I read that the background scenes were fan made. No one seems to understand the divers, though.
She is just a music machine ,enjoyed your reaction, thanks

The most beautiful voice this side of Eternity !!!
Btw, she took the song on in the same key as Elvis did 🙂
This song being sung in this low of a key impresses me greatly!!! This is my favorite cover of this song.
Absolutely phenomenal and beautiful.
Angelina sings any genre, any style, any song, any tempo, any key she wants. And she does so perfectly. One can criticize all one wants but her voice is perfection always.
This is where I truely could not help marvelling how low a female pre-teen child could sing...still maintaining a rich deep vibrato.
Angelina has a masters level capability to pay homage to the original song yet add small changes that enhance and reform it into a new version while still maintaining the key elements of the original.
She is the only singer I can listen to 100s and 100s of times and it never gets old.
Just as impressive as the first time.

very calming.
Awesome reaction and she is in same key as Elvis at 12, God Bless!

one of her best, yours too
The Guitarist was Ivan Mendez.
Rob I not surprised you know that you have seen the original video too.
The always humble Angelina singing this song with such grace and reverence. No need to show off on such a song, her abilities speak for themselves 🙏

Lol, I'm usually smiling. Ms. Mittens does what she wants. Lol But, a lot of people are asking for her. So stay tuned....a post is coming. 😉

New Zealand's Howard Morrison does an even better version, back in the day.
