Okay, so Blade Runner was my favorite movie ever. I saw it in the theater as a kid and even bought the Laser Disc Criterion Collection version. Note that I have never owned a Laser Disc player. So, when we bid for and got the rights to do the Blade Runner video game at Westwood, I told Louis, one of the co-founder and my boss, that there was no way I wasn't going to work on it. Things happened though, and after we wrapped up Lion King I kind of accidentally snuck on to and took over as lead of the in game art team of Command and Conquer. Thing is though, I did do some stuff for Blade Runner in the beginning, but as the project went on more and more of the stuff I did was cut. Finally, the only thing left was the Windows Icon for the game. It was the classic silhouette of Deckard that sometimes was printed between Blade and Runner on the title. That's the perfect Windows icon iconography for Blade Runner right? They won't cut that, right? And besides, why redo something that is already done. They redid it at the last minute so nothing I did on the Blade Runner game made it into the game. I'm still upset about that and I really needed to get it off my chest after all these years.

Amazing director AI for its time. Every play unique with the game randomly deciding who was a replicant and clues, timing of events all being important along with speech options. Played it 17 times and only managed 9 different endings. Love this game. The story rivals the film .

If this movie score isnt pur synth, Im gonna blow a gasket. Blade runner made the synth score so beautiful, but they just HAD to go and change something about it because if Im hearing the score online(im hoping its all fake) then its shit.

I played this game before actually seeing the movie. I was a big Westwood fan so every game they made I bought.
I played this before seeing the film too - I was really confused by all the references to people I was supposed to know about somehow, but it made it special when I finally watched the film.
Westwood was great - I was really hard for Lands of Lore 2.
One of my favourite games ever from when I was a young man. It's still in my collection in the original box.
Some time ago I started playing this game again and loved it. Until it froze and corrupted my savegame, so much for playing that game.

You NEED to play Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve 2 back to back. It's not p&c adventures, but...IDK it has the same athmosphere while traversing the city and trying to understand who's the killer (at least in first game, 'cause the sequel is translating from turn-based jrpg with horror story into real-time action sci-fi game with the elements of rpg).
This was how i got introduced to Blade Runner, because a huge fan of both the game and movie.

I won this in a competition at a 'Gaming Cafe' which is how you used to play video games against your friends before the internet was a thing. I'd never seen the film so I got stuck forever in the Hotel, not realizing that I was supposed to turn a cabinet into a ladder & climb out through the roof because why would I? Beautiful game though.
