I love to see you still enjoying the hobby and am always envious of your gorgeous flying site. The shot of the plane landing with the victorious bird flying off in the distance is priceless. 😊
Excellent, well proven mods! Nice slow flyer. Amazing video of magpie at 8:31 with perfect focus and detail. Can see where nesting at 8:42. Great filming, had all the right camera angles tuned in. ♥
That's what i did with My RMRC StratoSurfer. I moved the motor out and higher using the Small Parts CNC aluminum motor mount relocation kit to fit a much bigger prop and lower KV motor Went form 6 inch prop to a 9-inch prop. My flight times went from 15 minutes to over 30 minutes. It is also so much quieter. The small prop with high rpm was really hard to be stealthy and would always get spotted. Andrew, you should check out Small Parts CNC they make all kinds of motor mounts for many of the popular pusher Fpv planes and trainers out there. Very high-quality machined aluminum adjustable motor mounts.
Great Mod Review Thanks ~ With 40 years under my belt with Sport RC the T1400 can certainly take some thrashing about in the sky. I missed which slope you're flying at Andrew???
Hi Andrew, this T1400 reminds me of the Skysurfer, must be its brother 😂😂, i just ordered another one from BG, PNP for 64 bucks, i will be doing the same mods as you did plus the rudder/wing for easy transporting, i looked on your thingiverse page for the motor mount but couldn't fine it? i was hoping it would come in handy for the SkySurfer motor mod?, anyway Sport have a great week-end with your lovely family, cheers 🤗🙏🤝🐱
Hi Andrew. I just had a FX707s glider arrive from Temu, on line shopping. It was very cheap cost at £14.15. Delivered. Wingspan is 120cm. I am very surprised how good the kit is. The plane is actually very well moulded and there are two carbon bars in the kit as well. There are also four places to fit the four small servos. I bought it because I just want a very cheap glider to learn to slope with. So if I bash it or lose it, it does not matter. Please can you have a look at this FX707s kit on Temu, Andrew and see what you think? I would be very very interested to see what you could do with this model, before I start to build mine! Because if anyone, can make a great cheap sloping glider and i am also thinking a wing top removable power pod, out of a really cheap glider kit, its Andrew Newton. Thanks Andrew. Keith,. UK 🇬🇧
@@tonytruelove3576 Yes the is one at that price, on Temu UK. But if you scroll down, the is also one at £14.01. Just scroll down till you find the best price. Keith. UK 🇬🇧
Andrew, fantastic flying! I just purchased this exact same model except I am an absolute raw beginner. Can you help here....while playing around with the model in my garage I think I accidentally put the ESC into programming mode, though i didnt know such a mode even existed at that time. Anyway, I was so confused as what all the beeps meant i fiddled with different radio controls to figure out what was going on and i think I have inadvertently made some unknown program mode changes!!!! The doco that comes with the model sheds zero light on programming and the beep sequence for the ESC. I have been researching a lot and learnt heaps since then to understand how the whole model's hardware and software works. But I have found nothing specific to the Top T1400 and its ESC, it's specific programming, or other components Can you point me in the right direction please Andrew? I am afraid i may have for example inadvertently turned off the low voltage engine cutoff amongst other things.
Hi, I have a problem with the voltage sensor in my Speedybee F405Wing The value in INAV is up and down 13v~20v (I use 4S battery) I have changed the battery but the problem still occurs I am really furstate because I really like long range flight Do you know what component that I need to check? (It seems I broke that during soldering the cable) Is there any external Voltage Sensor available that can be sent through our Remote? Would it be possible for us to parallely connect the Receiver (Matek R24D) to Flight Control and CRSF to PWM converter The idea behind that because I heard we can get Vbat tellemetry to my remote using CRSF to PWM converter But at the same time I stil need OSD and Waypoint capability from Flight Controller
Yep. Sort of. Having the servos up front harks back to the Dark Ages when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and servos were the size of a brick; you had to install them on the C of G. I still mount even today's tiny servos under the wing and use closed-loop control lines, mainly because the sub-250g models I make are too slender to accommodate rearward radio gear.
@@EleanorPeterson Yep. For the littlies, keeping most of the mass near to the CoG and using thread rigging is certainly the way to go. Except when the old shaky mitts ain't up to the dexterity required any more. 😢

It's a bit rough but a great area. That magpie followed the script perfectly.
Always love your enthusiasm and seeing the mods you make to these models. Looks like that magpie just missed ya!
Couldn't have scripted it better!
How exciting #1. Always great to see your mods.
Thanks 👍
Good job Andrew....The usual mods, your so called Winter is looking nice and calm.....🤔😏😀🇬🇧
Ta. Too windy to fly for about a week now dammit.
@@AndrewNewton You should try living here ...8 months of it and grey skies....🤔😳😮
Good stuff. Always nice to see the flying area you are in.
Thanks 👍
That's One Angry Bird ;-) Nice MODs you performed on that plane to make it even better. Well done!

Hello my friend, which motor and battery did you use ?
I have used Small Parts CNC mount for a Bixler
Bom dia meu amigo Andrew,eu gosto muito desses tipo de planador são muito bom de voar, Deus abençoe Andrew!

UNA TRASFORMAZIONE RIUSCITA COMPLIMENTI
Thanks it has made the T1400 quieter and more useful
Barrel roll? Wasn't that more of an Immelman turn? 😉
Woah! Glad that wasn't a front prop or Maggie might have copped it! Good final clip though!
Failed loop that turned in to a roll maybe
Thanks Andrew. That Maggie sure didn't like that plane of yours!
Cheers 👍💪✌
Yes, very protective of their nest.

Easiest solution would be to swap the ESC for a known brand that has instructions. Otherwise just fly and keep an eye on battery voltage.
Are you doing a video on the Penguin, or is it just along because you enjoy flying it?
Review of a new Walksnail camera on the Penguin, but I had problems with out of sync motors.
Bummer!

I always move tail servos to the tail. Just doesn't make sense to have them in the front.
