I LOVE this style of parodying a song! You don't just sing about how bad the original singer of the song is, or about how much you hate them, or whatever, you just do a good old fashioned parody where you change the lyrics and sing about something interesting and don't bash the singer! I feel like most parodies nowadays just complain and make fun of the singer or songwriter. I'm so glad someone finally doesn't do that! I also love your other parodies too!
The funny thing is ...those lyrics are way better than some of the songs on the radio. Love your channel!!

any suggestions as to what would make this more inviting? why wouldn't you open this? I just try to title my videos as truthfully as possible, which is important. But i'm open to suggestions! I can change the title once it's up.

In my life I've tweeted just one tweet -- a carefully-written tweet about something bigger than little Me. It was about Los Angeles. This clever satire convinces me to stay away from Tweet Space. If I ever weaken and feel I might like to tweet and receive tweets I'll just listen to this again. It will keep me strong.
There are just so many things I love about this parody! I'm totally glued to Twitter so this gave me a huge laugh. Also a huge No Doubt fan so this couldn't be any more perfect for me. :B
aw thanks! I agree, too many parodies rely on trashing the artist, and frankly I think it's not only mean but kinda lazy. plus, No Doubt was one of my favorite bands growing up, so there's no way I could bash them. aaand, they were my first concert!

I started laughing once I saw the title and the thumbnail until the very end. Very funny!
that was the original plan, but i had trouble putting the clips together with my concept so i scrapped the whole thing and just did it in one take video instead. this week has been really meh for me, so Nic and I were going to do a video while he was here and didn't, so I'm trying to plan a trip back to NJ so we can make videos soon

thanks! i wrote and recorded the song over the course of a day. so really not long at all. my "trick" is I open a google doc and make two columns, one with the original lyrics on one side and the parody lyrics on the other so I can write line by line. it makes it a lot easier to match the original cadence of the song that way ;)

well, in reality all social media could be described as "pointless". it's more a matter of what your goal is. some use Twitter to stay in touch with friends/family, others use it to network and promote themselves or their business. I don't follow personal Twitter feeds unless I actually know the person, because I really don't care what some random person had for lunch lol but I think it's a good rule of thumb to try and tweet things that are valuable ie, interesting, funny, newsworthy
