    Nick is one of the best drummers I've ever seen. Nick is WAAAAAAY more talented than he shows here, but the Unearth fans get the goodness for their ears! Excellent work like always!

      I used to sit in a band shed 25 miles north of Seattle and watch him play with Culling The Weak... You have no idea, unless you watch his old videos, insanity on brass and skins.

    Traditional grip was for marching drums before they had technology to make a balanced and centered drum. It makes no sense to use it today.

    • @quintmasta14
      @quintmasta14 5 років тому +6

      Kurt Stoffer it does if that’s how you’re comfortable playing, same reason some drummers put their cymbals, pedals, tilt their drums a certain way, and why some drummers play open handed. Personal preference. Let the man drum.

    • @ljoe7038
      @ljoe7038 5 років тому

      agree with you, with traditional grip you cant hit hard enough fir rock misic, traditional grip is for marching and jazz

    • @jazzhole8208
      @jazzhole8208 5 років тому

      it depends on your feel. steve smith said that trad grip feels like a cradle. while matched grip feels like a drop . . . i think trad grip is kind of a tribute to tradition. and both brain sides are more separated from each other thru the different approach . . . could be helpfull or not. maybe it's good to handle both . . . ✌
