If the vehicle is water resistant, then definitely no harm in rinsing them. If you've already gotten it muddy, a rinse is really the best way to clean it. If I rinse my rc, I will usually do my best to blow dry them.

Agree that is what I do, I have not recorded but I will go with air compressor and blow them dry. Thanks for watching and for the recommendation. I have multiple videos about this RCs.

I have been getting more brave with cleaning in this fashion. I burnt out two steering servo’s hitting puddles but that was with battery in and power on with h16bm. I used 17g king Val replacement

Very unlucky, this servos should be at least water resistant, meaning puddles of water should not be a problem. Thanks for sharing !

That's a really good easy way to clean them gets them nice and clean. But I don't know if I trust doing it to my car or not. I paid a lot of money for them and I don't want to screw them up. I just wished it was 100% safe to do because then that will save a lot of time cleaning them. It would be nice to see like a year follow up on these cars from you washing them all the time. Just to see what went wrong within a year's time.

Andrew, thank for you comments, it is not recommended but it is safe if you let it dry very well before next use. I will do this from time to time and let you know what is going on with the cars. I don’t want to destroy them either o like the hobby and like you said they are expensive!

100%. I spray mine off with our pressure washer on low, completely soak it in foaming Simple Green. Scrub. Rinse again. Dry.
    Easy!

Great tip! I did pressure washer before but that is more dangerous for the car in my opinion, but low pressure my be the way to go. thanks for watching.

Keep putting out good stuff, I'll keep watching!
But yeah, we have an adjustable collar on our wand. It can spray with a fine mist or a powerful jet :)

I have a soft bristle paint brush and a soft sponge and just using clean water In a bucket I will dip the brush just to get the brush damp and brush the electronics to break loose the dirt then use the dampened sponge to wipe it off clean then dry with a soft microfiber towel after blowing the excess ( if any ) off with my air compressor . I am sure it takes longer but I have the peace of mind that I am not going to damage hundreds of dollars worth of equipment . And they look great when I am done !

Thank you for the detailed explanation, definitely takes longer, but like you said peace of mind worth the effort. I also use a air compressor I did not recorded that, but it is important to take water out. I also give it a day or two before plugging the battery back.
