before they start cutting and soldering, young electricians should be very, very careful when modifying SMPS... there are many manufacturers, PWM controllers and too many unknowns to pay attention to before they decide to burn down the house they live in.
First thing.. by removing the cover, they should be aware that the primary large capacitor has the potential to kill them even when the power supply is not connected to the mains, that is, to shock them nicely, then they should search according to the schematic model or do reverse engineering to be aware for performance, then secondary capacitors in this case should be min 40v, etc
where TL494 is used, VCC (pin 12) must be checked, which should be within the range of 7 to 41v as Absolute max! In the case of my old AT power supply on pin12 of the TL494 I have 26v which it receives from the secondary coils through 2 diodes of 5v and 12v, so after modification the TL494 will burn immediately if instead of 12v a voltage of 24v appears at the output
anyway... i need to limit the voltage to 35v to pin 12 of the TL494...

I hope you tell more details about removed components and soldering point of modified wiring specially points holes for resistors you added
From this Video. i don't think i could do the modification.also the complete diagram before and after modifications i don't even understand the pins of coil you left on that ring which one must removed and which one must remain. Thank u.your modification is more perfect and safer than others in the you tube. Please help me

Sir bisa membuat kan schematic mana yg harus di lepas dan mana yang harus tetap, karena atx sangat berbahaya jika capasitor meledak @@electronicshaverightstolive

Current regulation wasn't clear, what was the current regulating potentiometer connected to?
Also, on a side note, something I've seen in another video, if you connect another double diode (half bridge of opposite polarity) in parallel with the existing half bridge at the main transformer output, you will also get a mirror of the existing voltage of opposite (negative) polarity.
So, if you have 12v, you will also get -12v.
Connecting accros the -12v point and +12v point will give you 24v output, basically, double of whatever voltage you have there.

I'd kindly ask for your sources on Google, found one guide from instructables that's really similar to this video but is missing the current limiting part, mind giving a hand here?

@@drinkintea1572 I will try. It would be better to use messenger or mail for that.

Well, after trying the mod and removing most stuff that's not from 12v rail (i had to ground pin3 from supervisor IC to make the PSU start) and at some point in the component removal made my primary side transistors die on me 😂
