- Louise Treacy passed away on Monday 11th May 2020. These clips of Louise were shot during the last 3 years while documenting Art in the Open in Wexford, Ireland. She was jovial, candid, wise and was always the life at any party. Thank you for being a friend! You will be remembered! :)

Thanks for this lovely little tribute, Louise was a dear friend and inspiration. She convinced me to go back to art college and pursue my ambition to be an artist, she was a friend to our family and a font of positivity and practical wisdom. I miss the chats and the odd pint at the Island Bar. GBNF

Aww so sad to see/read this news. I could feel through your footage this lady was very special because of her way of life and not going along with the mainstream of life and people. Doing her thing the way she preferred, sitting down on the pavement, having a cigarette, driving around in her van. Truly a remarkable lady and thank you for this tribute you have made Alvin. This is what kindred art spirits do for each other
She was one of my first friends at Art in the Open when I met her in 2016. when you meet her, you’lll never forget her.
@@AlvinMarkArt I understand completely what you mean. In our country people like her are called birds of paradise. Meaning a totally unique colorful way of life you will not find so easily elsewhere. As you know I watch a lot of your videos and it is the passion of capturing your environment that bonds people together. Good to see you treasure those moments Alvin.
