This is one of the most underrated cinematic scores of all time. The music in this film was just tremendous.

This soundtrack was amazing, so evocative it transcends much of the film, which was itself also brilliant. Ridley Scott picks good composers for every movie.

When I was 13, I watched this movie at the theater with my mom and my biological dad 8 years ago. Would never forget that memory. It was like the best movie of 2010. Time flies!
When I listen to this I feel as if I'm a war aged soldier riding on his trusty stead with only a handful of old companions riding towards their impending doom as arrows fly towards them, they ride into their last fight facing off a whole army to protect what they hold most dear and die heroically on the battlefeild

I always imagine the following while listening to this song..
On a tall and green cliff on a far away land,The sun is coming down and with it the warmth and labour of a hard long day. The cliff is very high and down below its majestic white walls a troubled sea rages on. Spumed and cold white waters are waiting for its next victims just as a ferocious wolf would as an unpreoccupied bunny rabbit leaves the security of its hole.
The grass is as green as an emerald,and still warm as it receives with gladness the last rays of sun.
The air smells like fresh grass.
The sky above is alive with colours. Orange and purple are so beautifully mixed that it almost looks like they are old lovers who have met after a long time of solitude and longing for each other’s embrace.
In the cliff below,everything seems to stop and watch as a majestic white horse runs as fast as the wind on a stormy night.
He runs as if nothing else in the whole world matters but this moment. He is ready and this is what he has been waiting for.
He does not know where he’s going but that doesn’t seem to bother him!
Leading the horse with the obstinacy of a thousand warriors a beautiful young woman sits holding her legs tight around the horse’s side. She holds the reins as someone would hold a sword.
Her bright and long red hair flows as the night wind blows intensely towards her.
There has never been a mightiest moment. She has a little smirk on her lips.
The only thing one can see if not too distracted by her beauty is that in both her wrists she has the word “Cruor” tattooed in deep black ink and in her neck she has a jasper bead necklace.

This Robin Hood not becoming a sensation, came down to how the movie was cut. The theatrical release made the movie feel rushed.

Ok, Imma be honest. I have heard hollywood scores until I became tired of them. In "period-setting" movies I prefer listening to more authentic scores, played with instruments belonging to the time (like a bagpipe, or a mandolin, or a hurdy-gurdy) rather than big bombastic orchestral covers of brass sections and violins. But this one... this one is different. It makes a perfectly balanced blend between authentic and bombastic, and it encapsulates what the story is about PERFECTLY. Robin hood, a folks hero, going through his journey and legend.
When I think back to the Afghan days, my brothers all lined up, crouched down heads down waiting for that chinook to land, apache providing cover and the sound of those engines over head. Dust flying, smiles appear let’s get the f**k out of here

Robin Hood of the Ballads say King was Edward. a Prioress of Kirkly..here we go.. a Prioress is a woman in charge of nuns.. and Kirkly in 1400s England during reign of King Edward means "Church Fields".. later on, that place Kirkly was renamed the Benefice of Lower Wensleydale.. there are 6 churches there that make a face.. Look at St. Marys Church.. just about 350 yards east is Hornby Castle.. Home of the Conyers at one time.. Sir John Conyers Jr was the Robin Hood of the Ballads aka Robin of Redesdale.. just not the first to use name... he was leader of the York Knights.. Sir Robert Hulderne was Robin of Holderness..he was Captain of the York Rebels.. there is only one record of a man using name Friar Tuck in 1417 and 1429.. Sir John Conyers was in mid 20s age when he met Friar Tuck age mid 50s : )
