I’m sorry, but is this guy not the best 4WD you tuber in Oz? Father and son, self filmed, humble attitude, simple set up, great tips, awesome landscapes, phenomenal adventures and absolutely inspirational. Destination NSW or Tourism Australia should be sponsoring him for the way he reminds us of how stunning our country is if you get out amongst it. I’m signing up for Patreon to support him. Just awesome Tylz... PS How good was that cliffhanger of a conclusion! Can’t wait for episode 2!
Thank you! Really appreciate the feedback and support :). Would be good to get paid to go and do this by a company haha. Part two is already up on Patreon so hope you enjoyed it!
Some of the most underrated 4wd content on UA-cam. Easy watching and not over the top with 100k rigs and every camping accesssory known. Your boy is living the dream!
Yeah mate I had the same problem when I first started. I always wanted people to go with but either didn't have any or couldn't line up weekends off etc. So just went by myself all the time and learnt as I went haha
@@TylerThompson90 Yeah It's hard to get mates together to take time off at the same time. Usually we manage at least 2 trips a year and that's not enough. Maybe I should just bite the bullet, grow a pair and venture off myself. Throw myself in the deep end.
Yeah thats what I ended up doing, got stuck plenty of times and worked out how to get out haha once I had a winch I had much more confidence to take on tracks
One of your Best! Like what your eating definitely keep a regular guy regular ,thanks for sharing and for your hard work bringing these quality videos to us , Cheers
Another epic video Tyler, you should have at least 10 times more subscribers. Best 4wd channel on the UA-cams right here. When you upload a new vid, i bet the Nissan engineers all stop work and say that crazy Aussie is at it again haha!
Once a again im saying it, Brilliant film with heaps of good content from my local hood i mean i could have handed you a cuppa tea at one point, not many tallow's where you camped, more camphor's. Doing the horse shoe out off killa at night in the rain crazy. Top stuff looking forward to the next part. :)
i spent about 5 days on the never never river outside of belo. that river is absolutely stunning crystal clear (freazing cold) waters, and plenty of bass!
First vid of yours for me, subbed. Great chilled vibe, have started taking my two out a bit and they're enjoying it. Loved spotting your son in the swag with his book while you were making dinner, he's obviously very comfortable with the whole adventure. Can imagine the in-car convo on the tricky bits.. "wow are we sliding dad?" "Ah.. yeah... But it's... Fine." Haven't made any vids yet but dabbled with trying to record and appreciate how much effort you've put into capturing this.
Thanks mate, appreciate it! Great way to get out and spend time with the kids. Yep definitely takes a bit of effort with all the filming but worth it in the end
We do a lot of trail bike riding in that area and Coffs. Kilprotay in the wet is interesting and adds degrees of difficulty. Bellingen is best after a few days of sun as it never really dries out and there is lots of clay out there. Looking forward to the Coffs instalment.
Another awesome vid mate. Def tricky in the wet but some good technique shown. I agree with the simple camp set ups. I’m trying to go back to basics myself especially for short trips. Longer trips it’s nice to have a few creature comforts tho. Looking forward to Pt 2 mate.👍
Forgot to mention. I subscribed to your channel. It's refreshing to see rather than the all paid up other channels that are out there with huge sponsors and you going it alone. More real if that makes sense. Keep it up
Trying your Taco Recipe tonight Tyler Cheers mate, thank you for showing us (coming from a family that had a Mexican Restaurant for 15 years, Montezuma's in Burleigh Heads)
Mate, was a house favourite! I'd also made a Beef option in the slow cooker, but everyone loved your Mix, including me! So good... In fact, it was head and shoulders better than the beef. You don't even miss meat with a great mix like that
Tyler !! A Coopers ! Man after my own heart!! At 19.21 !! Oh Boy!! Great winch job !! Ever thought of doing a video on your vehicle and what you have done to it as I would love to upgrade my STX to do something like this...cooking skills are also excellent...there are a few vacancies on Master Chef at the moment !! @@TylerThompson90 Yes mate sort of. I'v never sussed it in detail but you can see from the map. Go in at station creek which is Barcoongere state forest, then heading north you hit the national park. A lot of it got pretty wild a few years back but it's since been repaired, no idea what happens further north but
Yep I've been through all that area before mate, great drive through there. I've got some vids on in it on youtube back from winter last year. There is a couple of different way through I think so might try a different one next time.
Hi mate. Just found your chanel a few days ago. Loving it. I was just wondering if you have had any dramas with the nav? Like breakages or items you would change out for aftermarket?
Hey mate, thank you! Theres been a few things here and there like any 4wd, never broken any driveline parts on the tracks. One repeated issue I'd suggest upgrading to is aftermarket intercooler hose pipes, standard ones are garbage
Really enjoyed this one! I get used to watching you wheel in near perfect conditions with the sun out. It's awesome seeing the Nav in action in a very different climate, almost rain-forest like. Has Nissan started paying you for all the advertising you're doin for them yet? : )
Hi tyler great trip as always , which swag do you prefer the ARB or the Crash pad , reason for asking , i need a new swag are you going to do a review on both ?? Cheers
Thanks mate! May do a review at some stage but need some more time in the Crashpad first. They are both really good swags to be honest, seem similar quality but going to need to test the Crashpad in some more weather/out in the rain and storms etc to make sure it holds up good
Belbrook locals have led me along this track on dirtbikes many times. They have said they are tired of having to help people who attempt this road in bad conditions, if it keeps raining then they are in trouble and no-one can help (you did not show the drop if you had not turned toward the tree I was told a police 4wd went off that trying to recover someone). These guys get called out, way too often to tell people, help will be with you soon, we know your here!. Because when its wet only a dirt bike can get close. Glad you and your son got though it, Insurance might pay for the whoopsies but think of the mostly volunteers that do rescue in these areas if you make mistakes I enjoy the vids the filming and effort you go to, but that was not good.
@@TylerThompson90 hahahah hey at least you made it onto the hilux fb page there's about 40 thousand members on it so you're getting exposure. Someone put that scene on it👍

Great upload mate, your set up shows that a simple set up is all you need to take the kids and get out there.

Love the cooking segments, so simple and easy and looks amazing, cant beat a good feed and camp after a long day on the trails.
