We didn’t modify the cad .. It’s been series one looked . Closed headlamps and metal dash .. it’s been modified with heated screens electric windows etc . It drives really well and sounds amazing under load !
Yes , it’s had the arches flared to some extent.. along with a series 1 ish trim added bit with modern gauges .. I did drive the car around 20 miles and was really enjoyable , plenty of cabin space, power steering .. manual v12 with straight pipes .. what’s not to like !
If it were a drop head ?? With a hard top ? Not a huge fan of any 2+2 I like the fixed heads series 1 but the 2 plus 2 roof is huge!! Drivetrain wise , it’s awesome !!! It literally sounds like a lambo or v12 Ferrari , 600 v12 merc , but better when you drive it !
Yes , we didn’t do the work but it’s had series 1 metal dash installed , along with loads of modern buttons , air con etc.. and had closed headlamps fitted .. personally I prefer an original look v12 , but with steel wheels . I have a lilac one here convertible with steels .. I’ll do a vid on that car soon. Check out my other vids for E-types
it’s a customers car and they wanted the early series 1 look .. closed headlamp conversion, metal early 61-63 dash .. and the converted to a 5 speed manual box . It has power steering, even has a heated screen .. it’s a bit of a resto mod . We like it for a useable series 3 v12… but the purists hate it .
@@carsandstuff365 purists.. they tend to be those that know everything and own nothing.. I’ve owned many and still do my opinion is this was very well modified and suited the car well.. 👍
The elliptical original exhaust made a better whooshing noise, the bonnet doesn’t look correct, the V12 didn’t have glassed in head lights, that was an earlier model. Or is this a US car reimported and the right hand drive reinstated. These things you notice when you’ve spent time polishing the original.
It’s a series 3 with series one look a like headlamp conversion .. .. and a standard c12 is practically silent compared to this , Iv got 6 in my shop right now all standard
@@carsandstuff365 I'd have done the retro conversion on the headlights as well, looks much better (not so good in the dark when it's raining and they've steamed up, but i'm in England so i WOULD think that way!)
I’m a bit of an e type purist .. I also live in England .. I prefer original . But in the exception I had a series 1 coupe or OTS and I was making a racer if kit Dunlop alloys one
How did you fit the tremec transmission to the v12 ? did you use an aftermarket adapter-plate ? if yes, which ? beautiful e-type by the way, not a 100% original but it suits my taste..! nicely done !
It’s had an adapter plate .. it’s regularly available , Iv done tremec 5 speed (mustang box) and cosworth T-5 on 3.8 and 4.2 e type also .. I’ll get the company link who supplied the adapter and post on this thread for you mate .. it’s well worth the upgrade .. they drove so much better .. I once got a xk150 from the US with a 5 speed upgrade .. when I took the engine box out it had a 5 speed getrag (BMW 5 speed from e39 5 series 520-530i ) with a adaptor plate ..anything can be done if you want it .. My pal has a Mazda pickup truck with a Mercedes M606 straight 6 turbo diesel engine in it using the original Mazda/Ford 5 speed box .. we got the adaptor made for about £200
@@carsandstuff365 Point taken, but it's clearly not your car so therefore you don't drive it on a regular basis. And "had A/C" you say. Sorry to hear it's gone!
It’s a Uk car in England lol .. nothing American about it.. it’s the least desirable model a v12 coupe RHD .. converted to a 5 speed manual .. brought back from the dead .. I agree the series 1 headlamp covers , dash and other mods not to everyone’s taste , but the cars not that collectible .. it’s a Uk RHD 2 pus 2 v12 uk car .. ..
Ok, I have done some research on this one and after much investigation it would seem that apparently there is a gang of Romanian illegals who are hell bent on posting stuff on UA-cam when you are away from your pc. It would seem that according to my diary, when I was on You Tube at that precise time of the aforementioned post, that I was taking a dump. They quite obviously broke in at that very moment and posted this vile post on your site which is nothing to do with me then ran away to avoid capture. I am far too intelligent and mature to post wrong stuff on You Tube like that and if you knew me you would know that. Anytheoldhow, I will remember to put my PC on 'lock Screen' next time. I blame Brexit, so I do. :)
Beautiful interior. Front lights look great, everything in fact looks classy. Nice paint too. Excellent 😊

Candidate for the most beautiful car ever made!
For me it’s a series 1 roadster , in either opalescent silver blue or black
You cant use any V12 Jaguar because these engines are made fom material made in India and drop valve seats any 20.000 KM!!
What ?
thats a big problem, most V12 in Germany died on Autobahn due to dropped valve seats@@carsandstuff365
What a car. What a note it sings
Ferrari V-12 sounds way better.
@@hankwilliams5622 And Bizzarrini V12 better than Ferrari
Whoa! The redline tires look great!
I agree .. not seen them for ages one types .. most we have a wearing verdasteins
Great car amazing sounds, cannot be repeated
You should here it full throttle going down the road , it’s addictive
I like all the mods except the mesh front grille and the Union Jack on the rear
Bonita versión con los faros carenados. Y que bien suena.
Sounds like a Lambo when you’re flat out .. so addictive that v12 .. it’s heavily modified

My perfect car.
Excellent color for that model ! It looks as though the body has had a fair amount of subtle molding done to it -

Some nice backdating touches make the car look special, although I prefer the look of the standard rear silencer. Lovely car, Im envious.

Lovely job on that and the closed headlights are a nice touch whilst still retaining its S3 heritage.. very nice indeed 👍

Looks fiddly/a pain to drive. Like many old sports cars. Part of their charm...
Na it’s all good , power steering , loads of room inside as it’s a series 3 .. 12 with a manual box .. had A/C , far from a pain to drive .

An American E-Type. They spoiled this car, took away all of its class and subtlety. That is awful. Typical no taste Americans.
