nice review, worthed to watch until the end. I have TAD fastpack litespeed cordura version, yes indeed its a tough backpack. I compared the GR1, 511, CP24, and DSPTCH backpack and decided to purchase this because its modular (they also sells various attachments for fastpack series like control panel, sleeve, pouches - which tooks me 6 month to complete all of them), made in USA, and looks great. Use it on my EDC with laptop inside, sometimes 2-3 day trip, and even though its 22 litres only, there still plenty of space inside.
Definitely. It's one of my favourites in this space. I find it to be very comfortable as well. I would love to try some other TAD guy but it's not easy to get in Korea. Glad I at least have this one though! I'd like to get the laptop pouch at some point although the TB one from the video works perfect. The only thing I wish this bag had was some padding at the bottom. For guys like me that carry around cameras a lot.. even with a camera cube I'd love the feeling of their being padding at the bottom like the GR1 / DSPTCH / CP24.
Thank you SO MUCH for the tidbit on using a Cache in bags like this. I have a similar pack to this (5.11 AMP 10) that has no laptop/tablet section. The Cache works PERFECTLY and allows you to pull the sleeve out easily because of the rails it uses for hook-up. If I ever allow myself to splurge more on the TAD Fastpack, the Cache will work just as well. THANK YOU!
Dude, you got me with the comment your wife made. “The kinda guy that carries a bag like this, is the kind of guy you want to take home one time.” Haha, that was great. I would agree though, the bag really is cool looking. Way better than the GR1 and The Rush. I just can’t do the super technical/military look. I like it, I wish I could do it, but I just don’t think it’s me. Thanks for the in depth look and commentary. The long pauses you keep in your final cuts are great. Those moments of awkward pondering... good stuff.
Thanks for stopping by dude. I know you're a MW fan, so I just wanted to let you know I have been testing a Rhake for a couple of weeks and it should appear here soon ;)
@@jtinseoul7041 of course man, I’m glad to be a part of what you have going on. I did hear you say you have a Rhake video coming. I’ll be really interested to hear your thoughts. I almost bought one of those things so many times. Still might, someday. Just doesn’t really fit as well with my work attire and that’s really when I do a majority of my carrying. I also heard you say you have a pouch video coming. Definitely looking forward to that one as well.
The pouch video should be soon. I'm waiting on a couple to show up first before getting that one out. The Rhake video should be in the next week or so. I have a review of the Recycled Firefighter Chief coming first and then either will be the Rhake or the TBB Conceal. The pouches could slot in there if I get the others on time haha.
I’m probably going to echo a ton of other comments (I don’t spend time reading them) but your channel is a godsend. Your reviews are top notch. Perfect mix of history/detailed breakdown/comparison/education. I’ve tried to find content like this many times but all the channels I come across are spend too much time on dorky junk and idk they’re going after too broad an audience so I don’t relate to 90% of it. I’ve been turned onto so many brands based on your reviews. I’ve been looking for exactly this kind of stuff for years and assumed it didn’t really exist
@@jtinseoul7041 Excellent news! Please examine the depth of the main compartment - some say that it's overly shallow for an open-clam backpack (can't stuff it with bulky items). Thanks!
Yeah I think there’s a few things about it that would annoy me, but it just looks so nice (I guess I could say the same about the LS). But this review reassures me a little, especially your great tip about the cache.
Good friend video, the wife thing was sensational, for your analysis the TRIPLEAUGHTDESIGN is better than the GORUCK, it was between these two bags, in quality the GORUCK does not seem better to you since it has a greater guarantee
$400 for a bag that does not really provide anything from a functional standpoint that can't be had in cheaper bags and has so much molle on it that the average person will never actually utilize it. But I guess of someone wants to pay that much to "look" cool...
Gotta be me, and I like to talk. Apologies. I do do videos where I don't talk at all and just load the bags though there hasn't been for this one. Understand I do this in my free time to talk about my hobby while juggling kids and two full time jobs.
Love to rewatch these older vids… this was awesome. I use to have the M81 fast pack and would love to get one again.

The “spoiler alert” killed me 😂 excellent video man, thank you for putting this out

Doing the Armory thing. I'm hoping it's a more capable Bullet. :)

Hey Brother…all your reviews are on point…so thank you for that! 🤩👌 On the Cache, would that comfortably fit a 15inch laptop? Seems like it might…
What size is that Cache? I have. MP pro 14. I don't want to buy for the laptop size but rather the bag size. Thanks!
Hi JT, can I check if you’ve experienced any pilling on the back mesh?
Carry wise, is this carry more comfortably than goruck GR1?
And are the straps different from the axiom 24?
Awesome mod What size Tom binh cache is that?
Enjoy brother
Nice review and a quirky sense of humour! You missed the hydration port in the review.
Appreciate it! Not something I tend to ever use myself so I didn't think about it whilst filming. I normally try to mention them even so. Apologies.
Any chance you'll review the Triple Aught Design Axiom 24? I've given up on the unicorn so I'm looking at the Axiom 24 as an alternative. TIA
Funny you should mention that.. literally one shipped out this afternoon in MCB to arrive in a couple of weeks!
@@jtinseoul7041 Now this is a stream that listens to its viewers! Bravo!
@@mindbendernine Should be here this week so maybe first look in a couple of weeks? Coming with the Parallax.

Is that a movado esq watch? Just got mine back from them for a new batt!
It's actually a very basic Seiko 5, Japan ;)
There’s multiple different cache sizes. What size are you referring to?
There are, but the rails are located in the same spot so any of them would 'work.' The one in the video is for the 13inch MacBook Air M1.
Have you tried the Scout?
I've not, but it seems a bit small for my EDC. Would like to give one a go at some point though.

The cache completely changed this bag for me. It literally feels like it was made for this bag.
Yeah it looks clean! Thanks for the feedback. You’ve been on a roll lately 🤙
And you could make a GORUCK GR2 video
Stay tuned ;)

For me, while I think both are built very well my money would be on a GORUCK if I had to to pick in terms of build quality.
@@jtinseoul7041 I think equal GORUCK is of better quality the TRIPLEAUGHTDESIGN looks prettier, but for quality the GORUCK
Hmm. Depends really for me. I like the 26L GR1 Heritage quite a bit ;) A pretty one, for sure.
I love my TAD VX42 🙏🙏🙏
Quite like mine too. Although, truth be told, until I bent the frame sheet I wasn't a huge fan.

Was interested in seeing the bag. For future reviews: More bag, less speech/person views.

The ego on you is laughable
I really hope you're joking about the magazine if so not even funny pretty dumb
