My father (retired now) used to do the engineering calculations behind bridges. As a kid, I used to marvel at them whenever we drove over bridges that "do their job" based on his calculations. I think about the millions of trips taken by drivers over the years across the bridges that he made sure were safe and structurally sound. All those people whose lives he positively impacted are unaware of his contributions. We all impact one another, in many untold ways...it is our responsibility to move through this life with benevolence and virtue!

@@DaGr8Depression Ignore or do nothing. Or maybe take a beat to realize that the road you drive on, the car your drive, the building you work in, elevator you ride to your office and much more rely upon the conscientiousness and personal integrity of those who were charge to manufacture, deliver, assemble and finish the work of constructing them and others to check on their soundness and properness for use as intended (and maybe a little beyond that). And perhaps you can appreciate how good will and virtue play an oh so significant role in our lives.

Please do some research before you say something as ignorant as "bridges are only needed because of our use of cars"

Like underwater but without the water. The area they have has air but coming to fast messes their bodies up. Kinda like scuba diving deep and coming up too fast. Some jobs that result in air chambers have to stay down their longer so their bodies can return to normal. Too fast of a resurface results in a um, messy death.

So they pile in soil/rock to creat temporary islands with shallow builds. But for super deeper water locations, they just get giant poles, ram them in till they get near the surface? Then start pouring concrete on top? Or pour it straight into the water on the poles? Then use floating vessels to help haul machines and other bridge sections into place like lego?
