Sukuna thinks whoever is the strongest is right he killed and maimed because he was the strongest and could do whatever he wanted so yuji being “stronger” makes it so the weak listens to the strong and he lost so he’s “weak” and must listen to the “strong” yuji.
What I didn't like about the final fight is how anticlimactic theme wise it was. It felt like "we defeated the villain" and not the culmination of many plot lines and ideals
I know Gege said he hated Gojo, but with everything I've seen...this man gotta have some deep hatred for Megumi. From the jump until the end, Megumi is just a tragic character.
Sukuna becoming sentimental in the afterlife never made sense and was kind of cheap since there was no set up and he literally refused to convert even in death's door.
Even in yuji's domain he said he understands love but I don't care😂and even in death's door he said "fuck you yuji"😂😂 and I thought that solidified that bro wasn't gonna get talk-no-jutsued.
IMO: The difference is, from what I could tell is that: For the first time in his life, he lost. He was defeated. His unbeatable mindset of Survival of the Fittest and shid was defeated along with him, and that gave him the clarity to admit he was wrong.

And as we saw when he did lose eventually he went out on his own terms, so that sentimental at the last chapter feels like a last ditch effort to give him character development that wasn't set up at all.

When you start writing an OP character without having them suffering from their own abilities, i.e. vows, then you end up writing yourself into a corner. Also, did we forget that Gege didn't like Gojo? I feel like having him dying and no one mourning him was gege throwing up the middle finger
Todo stated to Yuji, delving too much into a sorcerers death can defile their memory and can create curses within that. Nanami talks to Yuji about this too. That's Yuji's character development. He went from crying over not being able to save his friends but Todo and Nanami teach Yuji that true jujutsu sorcerers keep moving forward as death is a normal occurrence in their profession.

Jjk went from Could of been one of the animes of all time. Started well and slowly became mid as time went on. Still Love the series, but all the hype I was expecting when new chapters dropped just disappeared. Felt like I was reading new chapter to see what more bullshit was tossed to the side xD.

On its own, it really wasn't an objectively "bad" ending by any stretch of the imagination. If JJK had just been a story about the 3 main characters going around together finding, fighting, and exorcising curses like anime Scooby-Doo then this ending would of been perfect for that. Imo the biggest problem is that it was set-up to be something special but then so much of what made it special was ultimately pointless, then poof everyone's okay (except Gojo rip) and we live happily ever after. That being said, I'm ultimately fine with it. I was a hardcore Nobara coper, so I was of the minority who loved her coming back. JJK is just the "potential man" of manga, could've been something so wild but it just focused on the wrong things imo. It is what it is, and I still love it for what it is.

I don't think people remembered that during the Hidden Inventory and Shibuya arc the series told us then why there are no funerals. Think back how there was no funeral for Yuji, Nanami, Kugisaki, Hibara, not even get. Early on they tell you the life of a Jujutsu Sorcerer is essentially to exorcise and repeat, until you die. This was one of the facts that messed with Geto and even Nanami at one point left because of it. So it was normalized in their society and told to the reader

I was kinda disappointed with this ending, mahito getting the last words just felt wrong, No respect for gojo (also I was kinda hoping we would get a final conversation between sukuna and gojo) on top of that the final mission we see the gang on was disappointing. I did like some things like sukuna change of heart(even though it was kinda jarring) and the gang hanging out one more time being happy but overall it was kinda disappointing the series as a whole is 7/10

I think enough time had passed to call jjk mid outside of the fights 😂I mean plot was all over the place and poorly put together and executed, clear moments of confusion from the author himself. Ass pull after ass pull from gege made me completely uninterested and this what ppl compare to something as great as black clover it hurts my heart man because if ppl got out they own way they’d see just how close if not better it is then some of the best works in the genre.
I am going to start to watch Black Clover now. People have been really giving it accolades as of recently! The time skipper Demon arc looks juicy as well.

My thing with the JJK is that the other characters like momo and Kasumi serve very little purpose. As a person who loves creating characters i just dislike stuff like this. I also dislike when characters serve very little purpose to the story only to die especially when come back. Because its a cheap gimmick. Not gonna lie, outright, I did not care for the story of JJK and still do not. I watch it for fight and don’t read it because I don’t care about all that yap. Fighting anime are one thing when they’re written extremely well, but I find them to be something totally different when they just focus on killing off characters in this way. It just reminds me of Akame ga Kill, and I’ll die okay this hill saying this… that anime was ass. Just killing characters for shock value like it’s a horror flick. No nigga. If you make me suffer through a whole two seasons of a character I don’t need to see them randomly die because you think it’s cool or edgy. It just makes it seem like no one in the story knows what they’re doing ever and, surprise surprise, no one really ever seems to know what they’re doing in JJK. So I stopped caring for that story a long time ago. I’ll watch the video for information and the view, but nothing is going to make me say JJK has a good story. And I REALLY like the stories for the Nier games, so it’s not that I don’t mind main characters dying off. There just needs to be meaning, like… at all. In defense of Megumi, we are literally putting a teenager that saw how his sister that basically was his only purpose for being a sorcerer being killed by his own body without being able to do nothing. Same with Gojo, harming other sorcerers and friends and also the bath which just made him too depressed to be able to fight back. I mean all this bs on a 15-16 y/o. And for any bitch ahh that brings up Yuji in Shibuya, just remember that Yuji would have died too if Todo didn't arrive and tell Yuji to thug it out, Megumi was by himself. Jjk isn't special just for most of the characters we didn't care much for being taken out. Especially when nobara came out showing stakes don't matter. Mha when someone goes they go. Aside old men and bakugo plus anyone with fire. Black clover is leagues better since noelle is the best female mc since her storyline is and always will be the best written since everything is set up and paid off. Not gonna lie the ending was kinda iffy for me personally after going thru Sukana Kaisen for most of Shinjaku Showdown we finally see Yuji Bust Out his Domain Expansion and next thing we know we are in Yuji Inner World via Bleach and I get it suppose to symbolize both Yuji and Sukana at a crossroads hinting this to be the final clash before victory is claimed by the winner and the Nobara Reveal was type a head turn but after those chapters going from high stakes back to The JJK Trio going another Standard Mission and actually being over Gojo death kinda quickly was just eeehhh

I for the most part liked it, although I felt the Sukuna fight dragged on a little too much, not saying it wasn’t good cause I enjoyed it, but it did feel a little drawn out towards the end. That and no backstory no jutsu for yuji’s backstory. Like, I’m still a little confused by it, I’m assuming kenjaku was his mother using a part of Sukuna’s essence to make Yuji is what I got out of the little bit gege gave us.
After Shibuya and the long drawn out start and middle of the culling games I stopped caring. Every one I liked or wanted to see more of died. Hell I even miss mahito.

My take on the merger is that some people are kind of misunderstanding it as a plot point, my friend pointed out this idea that the merger was basically just the game over condition that everyone was trying to prevent. Like, if it happened, we lost that’s it gg. So unless we actually wanted jjk to end as some form of bleak tragedy where sukuna wins and everything was for nothing, I don’t think the merger was ever happening. Or maybe it’s an idea Gege just scrapped who knows I could be wrong.
Jjk has been a great manga, the anime is fire, it's given me countless hours of discussions between me and my friends and it got hella newbies into anime/manga. I count this as a W. Thanks Gege 💯
I'm satisfied with it. Sukuna was my goat and I wanted him to go out a proper way. He ran a generational gauntlet almost exactly how I wanted it to go. When he saw Yuji not giving up and landing black flashes left and right, I knew he was pissed and wanted him off the table. Nobara coming in last second wasn't necessary(They should've left her dead or in a coma), because Yuji could handle it and Megumi was finally giving an assist. Yuji trying to give Sukuna a second chance and him refusing till the end was what I expected. I didn't want the Talk no Jutsu to convince him to coexist with Yuji since it's against his personality and impulse to hate his nephew. And it was cool and satisfying to see Sukuna not be a sore loser about it and go north to be someone new. Long story short, my Goat got a good send off.
In my opinion- which y'know nobody's allowed to have they opinions these days lol- I didn't hate Nobara; I just didn't feel strongly about her. Sure, her cursed technique was tough but it was just... you know when Gojo got sealed, came back and threw hands and everyone was waiting/happy for that? I didn't care much for her getting "boomed", then by the end she's back to lob a hail mary.
I feel so old. Im only 31 and just have zero interest in modern anime. I'll watch DB and Z multiple times, Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, Ruroni Kenshin, basically whatever Toonami showed back in the day. Im probably a product of my time because My Hero, Demon Slayer, AOT, SAO, HunterxHunter, JJK, all these new shows just don't peak my interest. I gave MHA six seasons and quit. If I were 10 years younger MHA or JJK would probably have gotten my interest, but it seems even the generation that should love those two shows turned their backs

The JJK fandom ruined my whole experience of the manga in general. Up until Gojos death, it was probably the most enjoyable thing to be excited for on a weekly basis. I needed to know what happens in the next chapter. And when Gojo died is when the fandom just started going bonkers. Every day was "Gojo is coming back" copium and some posts about particularly him and Geto just made me check out. Most notably, someone bathing Gojo in blood from someone's time of the month, Geto getting bathed in the gooner's juices (this was all over twitter and tiktok. DO NOT LOOK THIS UP). Keep in mind, Gojo is top 5 JJK characters for me and I just couldn't think of him the same after that. Even during the Sukuna gauntlet, I couldn't really get excited about the weekly releases anymore due to how much this had affected me. On a brighter note, JJK was and still is one of my favorite modern shonens to this day. I liked the ending but if it wasn't for the very weird fandom ruining the experiences of those who just want to read, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. Just food for thought.

Feels like we had a lot of stuff we might just never learn shit about, a lot of stuff that I wish we could've seen and talked about. Like Gege fr namedropped about 50 mfs from the Heian era, talking about em like they were the Wilts and Magics of Jujutsu, and that's really all we got. There was a relatively significant timeskip where everyone was training for Sukuna. Slap a Heian Era arc in there bro. I feel like we could've felt just shown how powerful Sukuna was back then, how important the Heian era was, and the weight a lot of the clan titles held (We got 3 main cast members with ties to big name families, but we don't learn shit about the history of the families). JJK worldbuilding just fell off in the back half, which felt like the biggest opportunity for worldbuilding

I think enough time had passed to call jjk mid outside of the fights 😂I mean plot was all over the place and poorly put together and executed, clear moments of confusion from the author himself. Ass pull after ass pull from gege made me completely uninterested and this what ppl compare to something as great as black clover it hurts my heart man because if ppl got out they own way they’d see just how close if not better it is then some of the best works in the genre.
I am going to start to watch Black Clover now. People have been really giving it accolades as of recently! The time skipper Demon arc looks juicy as well.

My thing with the JJK is that the other characters like momo and Kasumi serve very little purpose. As a person who loves creating characters i just dislike stuff like this.

Not gonna lie, outright, I did not care for the story of JJK and still do not. I watch it for fight and don’t read it because I don’t care about all that yap.
Fighting anime are one thing when they’re written extremely well, but I find them to be something totally different when they just focus on killing off characters in this way. It just reminds me of Akame ga Kill, and I’ll die okay this hill saying this… that anime was ass. Just killing characters for shock value like it’s a horror flick. No nigga. If you make me suffer through a whole two seasons of a character I don’t need to see them randomly die because you think it’s cool or edgy. It just makes it seem like no one in the story knows what they’re doing ever and, surprise surprise, no one really ever seems to know what they’re doing in JJK. So I stopped caring for that story a long time ago.
I’ll watch the video for information and the view, but nothing is going to make me say JJK has a good story. And I REALLY like the stories for the Nier games, so it’s not that I don’t mind main characters dying off. There just needs to be meaning, like… at all. Emil gets ready to sacrifice and I get ready to cry, Nobara gets splattered on screen and… okay, there goes another one I guess.🫥

In defense of Megumi, we are literally putting a teenager that saw how his sister that basically was his only purpose for being a sorcerer being killed by his own body without being able to do nothing. Same with Gojo, harming other sorcerers and friends and also the bath which just made him too depressed to be able to fight back. I mean all this bs on a 15-16 y/o.

Not gonna lie the ending was kinda iffy for me personally after going thru Sukana Kaisen for most of Shinjaku Showdown we finally see Yuji Bust Out his Domain Expansion and next thing we know we are in Yuji Inner World via Bleach and I get it suppose to symbolize both Yuji and Sukana at a crossroads hinting this to be the final clash before victory is claimed by the winner and the Nobara Reveal was type a head turn but after those chapters going from high stakes back to The JJK Trio going another Standard Mission and actually being over Gojo death kinda quickly was just eeehhh

I for the most part liked it, although I felt the Sukuna fight dragged on a little too much, not saying it wasn’t good cause I enjoyed it, but it did feel a little drawn out towards the end. That and no backstory no jutsu for yuji’s backstory. Like, I’m still a little confused by it, I’m assuming kenjaku was his mother using a part of Sukuna’s essence to make Yuji is what I got out of the little bit gege gave us.

My take on the merger is that some people are kind of misunderstanding it as a plot point, my friend pointed out this idea that the merger was basically just the game over condition that everyone was trying to prevent. Like, if it happened, we lost that’s it gg. So unless we actually wanted jjk to end as some form of bleak tragedy where sukuna wins and everything was for nothing, I don’t think the merger was ever happening. Or maybe it’s an idea Gege just scrapped who knows I could be wrong.

I'm satisfied with it. Sukuna was my goat and I wanted him to go out a proper way. He ran a generational gauntlet almost exactly how I wanted it to go. When he saw Yuji not giving up and landing black flashes left and right, I knew he was pissed and wanted him off the table. Nobara coming in last second wasn't necessary(They should've left her dead or in a coma), because Yuji could handle it and Megumi was finally giving an assist. Yuji trying to give Sukuna a second chance and him refusing till the end was what I expected. I didn't want the Talk no Jutsu to convince him to coexist with Yuji since it's against his personality and impulse to hate his nephew. And it was cool and satisfying to see Sukuna not be a sore loser about it and go north to be someone new. Long story short, my Goat got a good send off.
In my opinion- which y'know nobody's allowed to have they opinions these days lol- I didn't hate Nobara; I just didn't feel strongly about her. Sure, her cursed technique was tough but it was just... you know when Gojo got sealed, came back and threw hands and everyone was waiting/happy for that? I didn't care much for her getting "boomed", then by the end she's back to lob a hail mary.
I feel so old. Im only 31 and just have zero interest in modern anime. I'll watch DB and Z multiple times, Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, Ruroni Kenshin, basically whatever Toonami showed back in the day. Im probably a product of my time because My Hero, Demon Slayer, AOT, SAO, HunterxHunter, JJK, all these new shows just don't peak my interest. I gave MHA six seasons and quit. If I were 10 years younger MHA or JJK would probably have gotten my interest, but it seems even the generation that should love those two shows turned their backs

The JJK fandom ruined my whole experience of the manga in general. Up until Gojos death, it was probably the most enjoyable thing to be excited for on a weekly basis. I needed to know what happens in the next chapter. And when Gojo died is when the fandom just started going bonkers. Every day was "Gojo is coming back" copium and some posts about particularly him and Geto just made me check out. Most notably, someone bathing Gojo in blood from someone's time of the month, Geto getting bathed in the gooner's juices (this was all over twitter and tiktok. DO NOT LOOK THIS UP). Keep in mind, Gojo is top 5 JJK characters for me and I just couldn't think of him the same after that. Even during the Sukuna gauntlet, I couldn't really get excited about the weekly releases anymore due to how much this had affected me. On a brighter note, JJK was and still is one of my favorite modern shonens to this day. I liked the ending but if it wasn't for the very weird fandom ruining the experiences of those who just want to read, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. Just food for thought.

I enjoyed the ending a lot cuz it was wholesome, but I didn't enjoy that the series ended. Feels like we had a lot of stuff we might just never learn shit about, a lot of stuff that I wish we could've seen and talked about. Like Gege fr namedropped about 50 mfs from the Heian era, talking about em like they were the Wilts and Magics of Jujutsu, and that's really all we got. There was a relatively significant timeskip where everyone was training for Sukuna. Slap a Heian Era arc in there bro. I feel like we could've felt just shown how powerful Sukuna was back then, how important the Heian era was, and the weight a lot of the clan titles held (We got 3 main cast members with ties to big name families, but we don't learn shit about the history of the families). JJK worldbuilding just fell off in the back half, which felt like the biggest opportunity for worldbuilding
The ending chapter was good, but goddamn as a whole it's shit because the damn cat left so many loose ends jesus
