The money point is not so true anymore, there had been huge cuts. The culture and the love to compete in Everything (even with family at eastern/cabin vacation) is more important.

We just...it's skiing..maps and compasses. Outdoor things, it's playful. I grew up with hunting and fishing, then it was "orienterind", the thing with maps. And 35 years of lifting wigths an TKD, boxing, kick-boxing and Thai. It's no secret.

Activity is good, but "losing weight" is 90% about adjusting your diet to your individual blood glucose cycle (it's a variable). Yes, of course I'm Norwegian and those issues are just a part of the program. Athletes need a good foundation.

And this is a thing...I have over trained. There was one year I trrained over 35 hours a week. I was studying training things, and did a thing in the weigth-lifting before and after school. Plus TKD, judo and boxing. There is a balance...I phused it too far.

Just a small comment, the mention of sosialist does not enter into it. It is not ideological. It is just about going outside and using your body. In Norway the majority of the population go for a walk, går tur. That is not considered training. Just what we do. Trying to stay healthy in order to live a good and long life. The sports just take it to a higher level.
This fundamentally comes from the normal populations way of living, not from politicians, we know that we need to move around a bit so that we can stay healthy as we grow older. It is a personal responsibility and personal choice for each Norwegian in order to live a healthy life. So I would say that this is the Norwegian culture, not any government program.

There is a goverment program. And it is regulated with laws. But it also culturally. But if you take away the laws and regulation, the system will fall apart. But usually the Norwegians do not think about everything they get from the goverment and ours regulation.

The political side has made it easier to accomplish and the part of getting as many kids involved as possible and having a focus on enjoyment and fun for the kids is a part of a socialistic leaning mindset, the more conservative/capitalistic view is always to focus on results and focus on the ones who stand out as better.
It is a cultural thing because the politics made it a cultural thing over time.
