We went full Ryobi three years ago, for absolutely everything and we haven't had a single problem with any of it. Even after my missus lowered her car on the jack on top of the Ryobi torch, still worked fine.
I got my first Ryobi ONE+ 18v tool about a month ago! I got the 2g yard sprayer with backpack holster! And I love it! It's because of there cool one off tools at an affordable price that I love! Really the backpack holster is what sold me! 😂 Now looks like I need this patio brush cleaner too! 😂
OMG!! Thank you for this video! I just purchased one and it works so well!!!
honestly, i went and got a gas-powered ryobi string trimmer after I found out about the expand it series being that I just got a house with a yard that the last owner left a lot to be desired and their yard tool attachment options have been a lifesaver for me and I have their table saw and plan on adding one of their tool kits to my arsenal soon cause they seem to be a great brand and love to see they are getting more exposure!
This sentence is still running a marathon 2 years later
This would be good to use if your sealing your asphalt driveway. Good tool to clean the cracks out before sealing
Absolutely 👊💯
We have a Ryobi riding mower and a push mower and a single string trimmer/edger. The trimmer melts the spool line into a lump. They say you have to constantly spray lubricant to keep it cool. It’s a piece of crap. The other two mowers are great. Love em. This tool looks promising.
Hey is that also a ryobi lawn blower?? Thank you for the time put into this video. I was on the Fence about ryobi but you are spot on with how many new tools they keep bringing out. Now I can finally have a clean patio without busting my back every couple months. Thank you an you just got a new subscriber lol. Keep doing you
The specialty tools no other brand has is the reason why I jumped into ryobi for tools just like this tool Clint really Nassss Likeee @ToolReviewZone
Exactly brother 👊
I have Ryobi drills, driver, circular saw and a bunch of specialty tools. I love them and they stand up just as well as Makita.
Watching your review has prompted me to buy the wire brush patio/drive cleaner!!! Thanks so much - I was dithering but you’ve given me the confidence to just go buy it!!!!!! 😅Lizzy B
Hahaha, let me know how you like it! 👊👊👊
Very innovative. Ryobi always changing the way you get stuff done
Absolutely brother man John 👊
"I'LL JUST BLOW IT OUT TOWARDS MY NEIGHBORS HOUSE."-CLASSIC
Made me genuinely laugh out loud because I do it on occasion 😂
Hahaha
Yeah buddy 🤣👊
@@ToolReviewZone Love your content; kind regards from the Philadelphia area!
That's awesome brother. Thanks so much for the comment Sousath!!!
I like those kinds of ryobi stuff. But as I don't have ryobi where I live, I just use a makita grinder with a wire disc, and it does the same thing.
I’m a huge Ryobi fan and can’t wait to get this!!!!!!
I hope Ryobi and The Home Depot are sponsoring you. I'm buying one of these because of you.
Super cool, I’m going to buy one. Thanks so much for the review !
I just bought this tool - does a great job and less messy than wet-washing also, 5 minutes and the wife was fully trained. (Just need a ladies lawn mower now!) c'on Ryobi.
Speaking as a lady, the Ryobi one+ lawn mower IS a ladies’ lawn mower! Lightweight, cute, quiet.
“I’ll just blow it out towards the neighbors house” 😂
i have one. it does not kill the problem but rather delays it because the growth keeps growing. it is ok for taking dirt of between bricks/pavers ect but not for weeds.
Just by a trimmer. I got Black & Decker 3 in 1 Lawn trimmer and mower and it does it all. I personally dont like buying expensive tools that serve only 1 purpose.
I showed up to a jobsite with a Ryobi. I left that day with a severe wedgie and a new nickname.
Hahaha
😂
Lol. I know when i left the home industry i bought all ryobi now. Wish i did then. Becouse noone would steel them ...if you lose it just buy a new one...
LMAO.....I feel ya bro...lol
I use Ryobi on job sites.... But my level of skill speaks for itself. So maybe your wedgies and nicknames come from something else?
You know, I started with DeWalt screw bgun, Milwaukee hammer drill and Makita circular saw, Echo OPE tools and now I only have DeWalt small parts cases, Milwaukee impact bits and sawzall blades and no Makita or Echo anything... Over 40 RYOBI One+ and OPE tools. I replaced only one defective 40 volt battery under warranty after 2 and half years of use and abuse for free ( just a phonecall test required with support). Now they are continually improving I don't see my going back, I'm an advanced DIY person helping family friends here in Puerto Rico since hurricane Maria. 🌴
You got a heart of Gold i bet man. Much respects. It's about family. Cheers from Texas. 🇺🇸 🇲🇽
Iv been replcing all my dewalt with ryobi few yers ago. After work for years i found forvthe money works just as good. Not complty but good enoough .. i like this thonm of its not expensive. ..
I've used Ryobi for years and think they are some of the best homeowner tools.
I actually could have used this 3 days ago. Just did an epoxy garage floor and this would have saved some time.
Have went ryobi for my out door power. Blower, chainsaw, weed eaters, pole chainsaw for home use good so far!
Would love to see it test on cleaning grout on floor tile or would it strip it out?
I am investing in Ryobi for this exact reason, as a handy man u need 2 range of tools, Dewalt, Makita some serious tough tools as your core set and Ryobi for that extra versatility
That is a pretty cool tool. Now as a Ryobi owner I do see something I would like. I recognize that looks like the same extension thats on my weed whacker and pole saw from them. It would be kinda nice if they would take a multitool type approach to the lawn stuff like that. Like let me buy one handle to rule them all, then flip out weed whacker, saw, and that cool angle grinder on a stick in this video. I do like ryobis normal tools for the most part, but its the tons of yard tools that run on my shop batteries that keep me team green, well and im cheap so thats another very large factor.
You're right, it would be nice.
They do! They have it for gas and battery powered lawn expansion
Ryobi just throws a handful of crap at the wall and I love the chaos, every time I walk into Home Depot there is some new weird lime green junk.
This is definitely a rental tool, my driveway could use a once over but there isn't enough crud building up that I could justify owning this.
Thanks for the review . How did you replace the wire brush and where did you get it?
For someone with 10 pallets of pavers on their property (which isn’t that uncommon) This would take them all day. I’d whip out my surface cleaner and call it an early day.
Bought this tool a month ago or so and I have similar gaps in my pavers. I find that it does not clean deep enough to refill with new polymeric sand. It barely cleans tip of the soil and leaves most weed roots in tact. Good at removing moss.
Thanks for the video! How would this work on grout? Thanks
SOLID REVIEW . just ordered one
Great tool idea! Thanks for the share my man!
You got it brother 👊
I appreciated seeing all the camera angles and close-ups, but I would have liked to see how the brush handles weeds in the cracks.
Great video! Love ur enthusiasm
Hi mate ,just what my dads looking for .I’ll buy this for him .I’m into ryobi tools too ,I’ve got a few 4 mah batteries so this will fit in nicely.
Nicely presented the product :D Good job. I liked the product :)
I remember the old days using a weed wacker to do that they had edger tools they ran an electrical cords I remember using one years ago it was made by Toro you know you had the money or only landscaping Company you had a gas-powered one how time and technology has changed for the homeowner
I wanted an electric mower and was like "which brand sells elec. Mowers and has the most compatible tools so I can interchange the batteries?" Ryobi hands down
I'm pretty hardcore Ridgid and have a few Milwaukee tools. But damn Ryobi has some really good unique tools that get shit done! So i buy them too.
I’m a tool guy, let me be the first to say I’m not impressed with this tool. Like you said, Ryobi makes good tool , I give you that,
But this is one I would add to my collection or promote.
I thank you for test driving this product.
Not impressed but you would add to your collection? I don't get it
How do the scaped clean marks age in the brick edges? Do they fade fairly quick?
I recently (seriously-two days ago) got some a few Ryobi 18 volt tools/batteries. That is only because Ridgid doesn't make them. Select nichey stuff for the house. TRZ loves giving angels their wings and VCG likes giving devils their horns!!!! Ridgid Ron
Sold!!! i just ordered a Ryobi patio cleaner
All good, but how do you change the wire wheel? Any ideas? Not easy without shredding the thread.
I bought this tool during the summer. My only issue is it's tough to find replacement wheels for the nylon brush style. I've only been able to order them online from Home Depot as they are never in stock!
Harbor Garbage has them cheap.
Amazon has them
can you do lawn edge trimming with it or do i have to get a strimmer as well
Try their 40 volt line. I have the 18 inch chainsaw and it works incredibly well. Trading in your Dewalt or Miluakee may not be as crazy as it sounds.
Now wouldn't it be Nass if it was part of the expansion set of heads for trimmers.
That’s Real Nass Like! A great tool for the money!
Absolutely James!
I dunno, I bought the Milwaukee Quik lok. I really would like to see some additional attachments.
I definitely need my crack cleaned. Wait, I worded that wrong. Seriously, nice tool. Great idea.
That's just removing the grout between the pavers and making a perfect place for weeds to grow. If pavers have weeds or moss use wet n forget or bleach water to clean the moss and kill the weeds. Sealing the pavers after polymer grouting is the only way to keep weeds out. Sealing will need to kept up to be effective.
Would make sense to use this, swith to polymer grouting and seal.
That breaks down over time and needs to be replaced, though. Having an abundance of weeds is an indicator of such. Should not pressure wash patios with flagstone, especially. Should be softwashed because you undermine the base with high pressure. Mortared patios? Sure.
We have 5 ryobi cordless glue guns. their brushless belt sander can also be awesome.
That wire brush slicing through that GABBA GOO is real nass like!
Hahaha, slic'en and dic'en R!
lookin good i think ill try it im in the 18v ryobi line wat the hell thanks bro
That thing is cool. Great review 👍
Thanks R4 👊
It would be real Nass like if I could actually buy this item. When is going to be available in the US? I see it on the UK amazon site.
Are you going to blow it or sweep the mess right back in great idea man you do know that keeping the sand in the blocks keep it from getting lose or loser
So from Canada I'm thinking I'll watch my wife scrub the cracks with the wire brush on a stick she got from Dollar store for the next lunar cycle and then I'll come home with one of these and be a hero or an asshole if she sees this video ba ha ha
Hahaha
Since I was a kid I swore I'd never get another Ryobi tool. Now I have their 18v hot snot glue gun, 18 ga brad nailer and their staple gun (standard T40 style staples) --and they are all amazing for around the house/small projects. Would I take them on the job, no, but for small stuff they are handy as hell and inexpensive! Just get the right adapter for your brand of 18v tools and use your own batteries... I prolly won't get this one as I don't have a lot of brick or concrete patio but it's another nice niche tool. Thanks for the vid!
FYI be careful - apparently some of the manufacturers put some of the pack protection circuitry (specifically overdischarge protection) in the tool and not the pack itself. (I think DeWalt may do this?). You don't want to adapt those packs to a tool which assumes the pack is doing the job. I've got an adapter for Ridgid batteries to Ryobi tools and Ridgid packs definitely have all protection circuits pack-side.
@@Entropy512 Yep, you make a great point. I'm pretty sure my batteries have protection circuits on board (heat, excessive discharge, etc) but I still make sure I don't over run tools I'm using an adapter on all the same. I wouldn't use an adapter on something like a cordless grinders (they tend to suck batteries dry real quick). Anyway, great point as "real" batteries are $$$!
Does it deal with weeds as well as dirt? We have grass clumps, dandelions, etc, as well as the ubiquitous moss.
Great tool, however creates space between the block paving or slabs which otherwise would have dried kiln sand and now you have more weeds growing unless you seal it back. I would not go that deep with wired brush to clean.
How did you get this in the US? Everywhere I look it’s not available
I might get an adapter now this is enticing me and use my ridgid batteries with some specialty Ryobi tools that I can use
I own a Ryobi tire inflator and hedge trimmer, and no Ryobi batteries. I bought an adapter and use my Makita batteries.
My patio is tumbled concrete (looks like stone) - will this tool eat away at the concrete while cleaning?
Would this be a good foot for roof moss removal? Seems like it could save a lot of energy from scrubbing by hands.
I'm wondering this too. I would be concerned the brush might be too harsh?
I get a backache every time, I remove the weeds from my patio pavers I’m 70 yrs. old.
Thank you for the video.
Did the wire brush wheel score or leave marks on the pavers?
This looks neat. I saw your other video on the patio cleaner and I was wondering something. Could you use this to clean a patio or other concrete surface with a degreasing cleaner?
The only problem is Robert is that there is only one small wire brush in this. It would take forever just to do a small area brother
@@ToolReviewZone - Thank you for your response! Looks like I’ll be using a hand brush after all. 🤬
Lol, sorry bro 🥺
@@ToolReviewZone No worries. It’s good cardio!
Here’s a question for you, where can I find a straight 4incn brush to fit my Ryobi 4:5 inch angle grinder, not the cupped kind, just a brush like would come on a bench grinder? 5/8 arbor not the twisted wire, just a straight brush. HD doesn’t have them, or Lowe’s,or Ace, or Amazon!!!!!!!
What kind of of wire brush do you need to replace it
Can you use it on grout??? Change to a plastic brush??
It should also shoot a stream of air to blow out all the stuff it loosens up with the brush. That would be real nass like.
That is a great idea snar!!!!!
@@ToolReviewZone How about using a cordless shop vac at the same time?
Not what I was searching for on UA-cam but glad the algorithm sent me here… HOA is gonna be pissed that I now have this option to keep them from bitching at me for one thing. Lol.
i am sure you have done it already, but if not its smart to fill it in with sand or something afterwards.. the stones will move around if not 😅(Speaking frown own experience)
ive been looking for a good way to eliminate or reduce using round up on my pavers. I like it but Im concerned the weeds will come back fast since you are not getting the root. Looks like its worth a shot. Just Fyi they make battery adaptors I have been using my dewalt batteries on a ryobi sprayer and a Makita drywall saw since I couldnt get those tools in yellow and black. I hate the thought of having multiple battery platforms so the adaptors work great for the few odd ball tools.
roundup is a waste of $ for that purpose. Just get gallon + quantities of white vinegar and apply to pavers. I found out by accident that it kills plants pretty quickly. It's a lot cheaper and it's not a product made by an unethical company. This guy's edger/cleaner demo doesn't really impress. You'll spend how much $ on this tool and you'll still have to spend a lot of time applying it, not really saving you time. If one has a bad back, I can see the value, but otherwise, just pour vinegar on areas that need it and come back a few days later to rub it up & out with a stiff bristle broom (like the roof brush brooms).
Get a string trimmer and just go over it every now and then
This is nice. I’ve seen others on UA-cam put a wire brush on an edger, but those edger compatible brushes are very expensive.
How does one change the wire brush wheel? Please can you teach us how to do that? I somehow managed to do it before but I can’t remember which screwdriver head I used! :( And Wilko’s lied to me! 😝 That’s a 37 screwdriver head set I bought from them not 38!
Would this get rid of weeks in cracks?
They are great at the one off style tools. So great. I say in 2 years they will demolish rigid all together
It's very possible bro. Haven't seen all that much from Ridgid lately
Ridged makes the best HD tools. Junk like this will never replace real tools on a jobsight.
@@betrayalbegetsblood you do realize rigid is basically obsolete when it comes to on the job site or in big box stores or basically anywhere. Ryobi on the other hand are huge and growing by leaps and bounds every year. So I would strongly disagree with you
I am on multi million dollar job sights every day. You are definitely incorrect.
Also, buy American when you can afford it!
I buy a few hundred k in tools a year, hilti ridgid, and milwaukee make the highest quality stuff. I doubt anyone who reads this post has more experience with power tool and hand tool brands. I keep 30+ guys and an entire fabrication shop outfitted. The only plus to having Chinese stuff on sight, it will never get stolen....!
yep, I'm gettin' one.
I love my Ryobi tools. This patio cleaner looks great, but minimal use for me. Maybe if a had more brick areas, but mostly gravel. I really wish Ryobi would build a larger sweeper. As I get older, fast approaching 60, sweeping the curb and back patio is becoming more of a chore. Something small, but hefty, maybe load bearing back wheels for tilt. Think the 16” electric mower (I should have gone 40v). I just want to be able to move material in a similar fashion I do with a wide push broom, along my curb, patio, driveway, and sidewalk…but without the weight or energy to go back and forth.
Why not use a Ryobi blower from the Expand-it line?
@@skylord2001 I would prefer to corral the debris that can be disposed of versus blowing the debris onto my neighbors property or onto the street where it just comes back and accumulates.
I would love to have this tool for my pool deck! Problem is that according to Ryobi Tools it is not available yet! Must be nice to be able to get the tool before it hits the market!!
I'd say start a tool channel on UA-cam bro. 👊
It was a good review. I’ll definitely look into one when it is available!
That style/pattern of Monoblock would be a nightmare to do with that tool. Power Washer required for that job no doubt.
I think i will pick this up!
Is that two separate tools at the end of the video, or is the patio sweeper/brush an attachment? Thanks in advance
Yep, I have a video on the brush. It's not so good
Freaking nass like! An angle grinder on a stick. Brilliant! Tell me, if the wire wheel comes out of the seam, does it damage the pavers and concrete? 🤔
Na bro, it cleans them up though lol
i have grass growing on my asphalt i need a tool to get rid of that grass so it could look cleaner
Ryobi makes a great blower also
Review the other patio roller brush thing
So satisfying 😂 real nice like 👍
Will it work if I have tons of weeds growing up between the pavers?
What about the wire tines? That must be hard to remove for people that walk barefooted or n their yards.
I’d be curious to see how that tool does vs a wire wheel you can put on a weed wacker for like $25
Looking at picking one of these up... do you think the 2.0Ah is sufficent for most jobs?
It will donok for small jobs. Won't last very long
I am on the ryobi platform and use them for most things until I come across something that needs more power then I get the big guns out.. Sometimes less is more!
Damn right brother
