You not only know what to pick, but you are nice when doing so. The people holding the sales can appreciate that, & they appreciate you, which often leads to more good deals. Keep being kind! Great job.
Hey Matt, I wrote the following on one of Hairy Tornado's videos but I'm actually doing it for all the resellers I follow as a Thank You for all the free knowledge.
I'm from 1983 so I'm used to commercials during my favorite cartoons and I couldn't do anything about it. That's not all when I grew up I realized my 30min cartoon was actually only 15-20min long that means I watched 10-15min of commercials and my friends didn't make a penny. That being said you can count on me to watch your videos all the way to the end including the ads so you can benefit all you can from your videos just like we benefit from all the great info you provide to the resell community. Thank you.
Love the way you converse with the sellers here. Very subtle , but can see why you’re a pro at making those deals! You could teach a class in how to dumb it down and score! Lol. Learning lots of tips here thanks for sharing 😁
Literally just had someone this past weekend ask me to stop recording because it was private property and asked me to delete it in front of them. I had no problem respecting their request. I’m happy I did because shortly after... they happily brought me a bin full of gaming consoles from the back! 😊

What time was the first yard sale? Can’t imagine buying/selling in the dark.
Set up at a flea market...buyers start buying at 4 in the morning...with flashlights. If you're lucky, you can be at $100 before 8:00 AM....

Frankly, the minute I pull in, I get those tables up and start throwing out inventory and as the "flashlight" crowd wanders up, I ask, 'So..what are you looking for today?" And then I start selling as fast as I can. When we have a neighborhood yard sale, I have my shit out and ready to go at 6:00AM because there are dealers/collectors cruising around like buzzards. I don't mind as long as they are spending! Ha! As I say, if you hustle - you can get to over $100 before 8:00AM...
You can keep your phone out without looking like a picker. I've noticed some people don't like pickers, they feel like they're being taken advantage of.

Been a reseller for a long time and a flea market dealer.. we all that that trick.. I charge more when they say this piece of junk crap old junk etc… people aren’t slow most people just don’t care they have full time jobs Trust and believe I heard it all. And some I cannot repeat on here

My mother in law used to leave the house like at 5 am with her 2 sisters go out for breakfast Then hit garage sales. On aa regular bases. Occasionally I would get up & go with them. "They were Diehards." They were all 3 resellers too. This was way back in the 70's.

The green carhartt at 8:50 sells on a ebay for $40+ all day. U got all the jackets for $30. Great ppl, great sale, great prices. That’s why we hunt. Well done @Matt gold mine of vintage jackets!! Quote of the day “yeah...I like the old stuff”.

It tickles me that people are "greedy" that sell at a garage sale, when there is a huge markup of that exact item on Ebay or whatever platform it's resold on. I just wouldn't want to be a garage sale person seeing the item I sold for $2 being resold for $79.99. That would hurt. LOL
@That Flippin Guy I wasn't trying to say that the Re-Seller wasn't getting a fair price for his/her work, only that the garage seller would be shocked at what he could have gotten if he had gone a different route in selling his stuff. People always have a choice whether they buy something at the price that is marked. Good on you for making $ in this dog eat dog world.
Great items. I really like when prices are on items. I hate asking all the time. When I have a garage sale everything is priced. You did get some awesome items to resell.
Spent 80 this weekend listed for about 500. Spent 10 on sunday and already sold 2 listings for 45 bucks! Thanks for all your content brotha. I was real hesitant ramping up being that I'm in Cali and it's already saturated. But you inspired me. I may even start a UA-cam channel of I can make enough $ for a gopro!

That carhartt wish I had a chance at a find like that. I get around 5-7 years out thoes coats.. all purchased second hand. Other. Than the cuffs wearing out etc and some fading.. they hold up and a decent warm..
Saw an SLR camera body on that last $1 table. Even a bad/untested one is going to be worth picking up at that price!

Love your videos! I think if someone asks about your filming, you can at least tell them that’s how I make extra money for what I don’t keep for myself. Big fail to me. You don’t have to tell them you make a living this way. I’m proud of your picking skills, even in the dark! Be proud of you skills, a lot of people will probably hate on me, maybe I shouldn’t have posted, but just how I feel. Too much hate in the world, be safe!

So lucky to find all that stuff. I'm Los Angeles. Nothing like what u find. I do Goodwill and other thrift stores but some on shoes and jeans are retail prices. Even though its vintage.
I caught a glimpse of a singing fish at one of the sales you showed, those resell quickly for me.

I had they exact se barbie tree topper. It's so heavy that it doesn't stay up on the tree. Sold it but it took a super long time to sell for only $20.
Only a person with respect like you have would honor someone's request not to be filmed. I saw where a youtuber with other people at a gathering was told no camera's or pictures. It was a important person. They than proceeded to take still use the video's. The security person caught it. It's a real shame that making money is more important than someone's dignity. I always enjoy your video's. I didn't get to 1 sale this year everything was shut down.

One thing Matt does well is he usually never negotiates prices on individual items as he goes. He starts a pile and gets one good price at end. I gotta do that more. It’s obvious and yet overlooked by many I’m sure.
