Thanks Sonchoy. This has been awesome for me with clients who like to do their own updates as they always upload 2mb+ files. I thought you might find it handy :)
Depends on the website design. But if the image is small, maybe 300 x 300 for a thumbnail? Blog image up to 1200px wide as most sites arent wider than that.
my photos that are already in My Media didn't resize, only the images that I upload after adding this plugin seem to be optimized. Is there any way to have it edit all the photos already uploaded without me having to re upload them all?
@@WadeMcMaster Thanks, will try it out... With my small 1TB of room i could upload too few images untill the storage is full. Having 50kb images in database would be a gamechanger :D
Umm, I'm having a super hard time understanding how to reduce the file size of all my media. I also only want images that are 1024x576 on my website. However, when I use this tool and have those sizes in said plugin if I upload some media that is 1024x1024 it makes the size 576x576 which isn't what I want at all. I'm wanting to have the image automatically go to a 16:9 aspect ration however can't seem to figure out why this isn't working. I also set these sizes inside media under settings for large size, medium size and thumbnail size. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here?
There is a media sizes plugin out there. Maybe it's time I did a video for that.. I used to use this plugin: wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ However it hasnt been updated for some time.
Hi, Times a question, I uploaded pictures and then reduced them in the post to 600x400 but now they are blurred, how to make smaller pictures that were large before still sharp?
I would consider adding yoast or all in one seo to add open graph meta data (video for aioseo: ua-cam.com/video/sWdz-54croc/v-deo.html ) Also you can try Facebook's debugger to rescrape the link afterward to crrect the preview image: ua-cam.com/video/xIod0e3vf-Y/v-deo.html However, this isn't 100% bullet proof, just the most likely solution I can offer. I hope it helps!
@@aichatnaaichatna2018 That sucks, Facebook can be a dodgy at times. So you've set up OpenGraph data with a default thumbnail on Rank Math? I haven't used Rank math yet so I'm probably not going to be of huge help. Maybe you can find an answer here: support.rankmath.com/ticket/open-graph-image-not-working-2/ But Opengraph specifically would be what I'd be testing, try changing settings and rescraping using the Facebook debugger I linked too above. Also, maybe there's a plugin conflict, so you could try turning off certain plugins quickly and temporarily to try while they are off. There is a link to plugins that conflict on the link above too. Also, if you can check the page code (right click - View Source) look fo rthe OPenGraph Tags to make sure they're on the page. It will look like the following:
This should be incredibly easy to do and i have no idea why it's not on wordpress. You shouldn't need plug ins...
Agreed!
No bullshit, quick and easy. Thank you!
Thank you! Glad I could be helpful :)
Good video, really helpful plugins.

I dont think this plugin does that, but i know theres another out there that does, i think possibly wp smush. Im not sure off the top of my head sorry
Does it also work automatically, when user is uploading an image through the front end with JetFormBuilder?
I'm pretty sure it does but haven't checked it with a public facing tool like that. I'd test it out

@@WadeMcMaster tried it out, it works in this way also, pretty dope
Awesome mate! Smart idea for saving space :)
After we resize the photo using the plugin, do we have to compress it?
It does compress the omage it for you.so you shouldnt have to :) if you go i to settings the compression option is in there

Oh, it doesn't auto crop just resizes at the same aspect ratio. You can crop manually by editing the image in WordPress tho
My question is this plugin resize the images that are already uploaded in WordPress library
I think you can do that (I'd have to check) but in the video, the way i set it up, it doesnt touch existing images.
What about for videos?
Sorry I don't know of any software that handles videos that way
OK, thanks for replying
nice pal
Thank you!
How can I resize all uploaded feature images to the same size by css or plug in?

Hk Yorick, id co sider going higher like 1200px, 600 is a bit low resolution. You can use the wordpress resizer for even smaller images if thats helps

The feature isnt flawless but it works in most cases..i made a video on it: ua-cam.com/video/9CJ_QWJsBOo/v-deo.html
