This doesn’t tell you anything about the authenticity of the bag. Chinese counterfeiters aren’t dumb and will obviously put microchips in the fakes they make. So the fact that it read a microchip means nothing. Microchips are easy to make and easy to put fake data on it. You have to take the bag into an actual LV store where they will scan it there and see if it checks out in THEIR system.
Do you know if LV will do this? I know in the past they wouldn't authenticate anything. I know i tried with a bag i bought had to pay a 3rd party to authenticate. Never bought any more used..

I am wanting to do this with items I bought direct from LV online or in store bc where I live there are a lot of fakes and people will buy a fake and then buy the real thing and swap it with the fake and return it. Brands don’t care about taking anti counterfeiting seriously and reassuring customers that sales assistants are trained to prevent this from ever happening in their boutiques. It’s insane.
