I remember when it was a huge deal if a streamer were to do a 24 hour on any platform, XQC just does it every day.
Most streamers get stressed about 5 hours.

As a guy who’s been watching x for just over a year with over 2+ months watch time in online chat, I feel this. I get maybe 2-6(max) hours of sleep a day. Struggle falling asleep constantly. If I were a streamer, I can’t help but imagine this would be exactly me pulling 24 hour streams quite often

well...when you put in hours is kinda just ok. I had 15k+ hours at Dota, many players also have this. Also in CSGO and other games like league etc. And we haven't earned shit for it.

well yeah but this doesnt work for most streamers. Most people will actually lose viewers or break down streaming this much. It is very hard to keep a stream going for 20+ hours and you ofcourse need the audience that would even watch shit like that.

When you see stream charts and constantly see that xQc's bar on the graph is so much taller than the others, this is why.
People want to be number 1 but don't understand what it takes, it's not just about hours, it's about being genuinely entertaining. People complain about his chat, but I think one of his biggest secrets that he doesn't really mention, is that having just ENOUGH moderation keeps chat flowing, he also farms emotes to keep chat flowing. Even when he appears on other streams, his chat is popping off. Making chat feel like they're part of something and not banning every little thing, making sure you moderate to twitch TOS and not your ego is how you keep such a consistently high average viewer count.
Mostly luck by being at the right place at the right time. When he quits, there won’t be any kind of deficit, people will just switch channels

I done the same thing over 2 years but not to the extent xQc has… I’d say around 50-100 days out of 2 years I stayed up for over 24 hours and sometimes 48
Did the same thing for work once a week for 3 years. Long term it really fucks with you even if it's just one day a week.

xqc's takes are very level-headed imo. don't forget that this man has had plenty of life experience before he started streaming. he's made plenty of mistakes throughout his career, he's attended college, been through many relationships, etc. he's literally a person who worked himself from poverty to the top of a streaming platform. you're being dismissive/ignorant if you don't think there's at least one aspect in which you can potentially learn. not saying hes the greatest person to take advice from, but his advice when it comes to life or relationships is as valid as most others.
