I had a muzzy reel that I didn’t buy a shoot thru rod for and it took a $hit on me pretty quick. Got a new one with the shoot thru rod and it’s still pushing perfect after a few months
I haven't gone bowfishing in years. But after watching Miss Taylor, in another video, do it like a boss, she inspired me to get back into it. And I will, but only on one condition.. That I get all of my new bowfishing equipment from this videos outfitters, specifically meaning, I will travel where ever I need to, in order for Miss Taylor to be the one to sell me the new gear. 😄 I am absolutely her #1 fan. If I could spend 60 seconds of my life in her presence, I would die a happy man. 😉 (the creepiness is meant to be funny. I'm not actually a creep.) 😜🤙🏹🐟
I honestly think this was just made up to get more money and convenience you to buy it. it should actually be called a Line guide. the whole idea of it doesnt really make logical sense to me cuz the real doesnt care about the pull on it. what we do when we bow fish is no different than using a pole and reel after the fishing is hooked. the only difference with the pole is that we pull back and up with it where with the bow you pull straight back and reel cuz the test on the line is super high. plus it's all about that DRAG.

The shoot through rod absolutely helps, when you are fighting a fish most of the pull is on the tip the of rod…
