Another way I interpreted it was he slowly started slipping from himself (to be honest im the same way sometimes)

The song is about a boy who was unhappy with his life.His parents often fought,he felt out of place with his siblings,and he was bullied.He eventually ran away from home,and later killed himself.The teddy bear he holds represents himself.It starts out all nice,clean,and new.This is his innocence.It later appears slowly getting broken and dirty.This represented him losing his innocence and getting into depression.When the bear appears broken to pieces,this is when he feels he can't take anymore and then kills himself.
